Damage done by Lacquer Nail Bar technician
    Melanie M.

I visited Lacquer Nail bar because I could walk over in 5 minutes or so. My problem is I had to repeatedly ask the nail tech to not go back and forth over my natural nail bed with the drill, but she ignored me. She kept going back and forth like she was trying to remove my cuticles with the drill. I kept those nails for 2 weeks and had them properly removed. My nails are so damaged on 3 or 4 fingers because Lacquer Bar Nail tech repeatedly went back and forth with her drill. My fingers hurt and the finger nails have been separated into two parts in a crescent shape. It's taking some time to grow and it's been a couple of months since. My fingernails snag everything constantly. They catch on to my clothes, towels, my hair and everything. I think what they did is horrible and negligent. If you value your natural nail-bed, please beware this place.

Helen did an incredible job! She was so nice and helpful and patient with shape, design, and finding the right color. The salon was clean and comfortable. Really happy with my experience!

Chloe killed this set per usual! I absolutely love my nails. Every we do just gets better & better. Her attention to detail, thoroughness & professionalism is top tier. Best nail tech at Lacquer

You can see the bottom and sides are already appearing like they are lifting.

Went with my gf to get Mani and Pedi. I am visiting from out of town and seemed like a fun Saturday afternoon activity. The Salon itself is huge. Lots of comfy seating and things appear clean and in order. Staff are friendly. We didn't make rsvp but we were attended to promptly. I got Mani and pedi. Someone was doing my feet while another was doing my sns. I have had SNS done many times before in my home State and they general last 4 to 5 weeks. They actually last longer but I remove them when my nails have grown too much. This is literally the worst...I mean worst SNS I have yet to experience. The SNS here literally in day 2 starting looking crazy. The base of almost all of them had this look like the are starting to lift off. Day 3, I saw a clear crack right thru one of my nails. Very disappointed. My pedicure was good because it was just a basic paint and he did a good job. But the lady who did my SNS... No Bueno. Horrible Job. If this was my 1st SNS experience, I would never do it again based on this outcome. I would not recommend coming here for SNS.

I've been to a lot of nail salons in the surrounding area, and Lacquer is the one I always go back to! The staff is friendly and always does a great job with my nails. I usually get SNS, and they last me weeks with not a single crack or chip. The salon is always clean, and I'm always seated within minutes (even on weekends!). Prices are pretty normal for Atlanta.

I can't say enough positive words about Laquer Nail Bar -- I just moved to Colorado from Atlanta -- and came back for a visit, and to get my nails done. I have been a bi-monthly customer since the day it opened and I really miss this place! The owner, Tina, is top notch! Always with a smile. The place is very soothing, floor to ceiling glass facing the Atlanta Beltline, no smells of chemicals, and she kindly asks folks to not talk on their phones, which creates a serene atmosphere. I miss you Laquer and everyone should know about you in Atlanta! Your happiest customer, Shannon !

Always a great time, Very hospitable and relaxing. The people are very artistic and apply the polish very nicely and try to do the best with the design or idea you have. Atmosphere is very great and clean.

This was our first visit to Lacquer Nail Bar and can say we will definitely be back. The receptionist/hostess was super friendly and very helpful. The manicurists were also very friendly and did a very good job. We did the "Ultimate" pedicure (This pedicure includes the cuticle treatment, the four step system, and the hot stone massage. This pedicure is topped off with a choice of either paraffin (hot wax) treatment or a collagen (cooling gel) foot mask. Both help lock in moisture and leave the foot hydrated and smooth.). Both the hot stone massage and paraffin treatment were great! The location is great (right on the BeltLine) and very clean and has a good vibe to it.

The location is superburb, the only place that doesn't care to get you to get drunk on the beltline basically. I arrived without an appointment on a Thursday night but was greeted and seated right away. As of today, 11/11/2011, masks are still required. Heck yeah! The selection of nail polish was a-okay, less than what I am used to, but not having to compare a few shades of a certain color is time-saving. On to the comfort: massage chair is a nice touch. My pedi was on-point. The deluxe option left my skin smooth like a bb. Mani was... tough. The lady was forceful. It hurt at some point as she used all her might to scrape the polish off of the cuticles. I don't think the technique was normal, but I didn't want to make a peep. I hope my next experience is less painful but I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone who likes to live on the edge.

Middle and pointer finger with polish all over the place.

Found them on Google, called ahead, and was told to come in at 3 for SNS. I arrived at 3:10 on a Sunday to a nearly empty salon, which was surprising for a weekend. The front desk lady asked what I wanted and called across the salon to a young man who was working on nail decals solo. He visibly did not want to stop what he was doing. With only two people in the shop, someone had to help me, and that fell on him. While he finished up, the front desk lady was actually sweet about the service. She brought over colors and even suggested a fun option: a clear SNS base with gel polish on top for a jelly color effect. I loved the idea and agreed. When he was ready, he held his hands out without a word and got to work. No greeting, no conversation. He soaked my nails in what I can only describe as boiling water before filing everything off, which was genuinely painful. When I mentioned the jelly color technique the lady suggested, he said it wasn't possible, started doing my nails anyway, and never explained further. The paint job was rough. It looked like I did it myself with my non dominant hand. The whole service felt rushed despite the salon being practically empty, which made it more frustrating given that I called ahead specifically to be considerate of their time. Five days later my nails are destroyed. The SNS has cracked on most fingers and taken chunks of my actual nails with it. The gel polish is flaking off. Press ons would have held up better. Would not recommend for walk ins. If you go, make sure you have a dedicated nail tech you trust.

She immediately pulled out nail tips to prepare to rip my nails off. I told her NOT to yank my nails off and she went back & forth with me about it before finally getting a bowl of acetone. It is also worth noting that every tool used was REUSABLE. A health code violation that I WILL be addressing. Remember when I said I told her explicitly to not take my nails off? She slickly tried to do it while I wasn't looking and almost ripped off my nail bed, causing immediate blood and bruising (pictured). She apologized halfheartedly and continued to use the drill at LEVEL 11 On the spot. I told her it burnt and she continued doing what she had been doing. I finally snatched my hand away. She then switched to a regular (reusable) nail file. At the end of the "service", she tried to charge me $20 LMFAOOO I immediately said no, not only have I never paid over $10 for a soak off but you literally caused trauma to my nails. I ended up paying $15. Don't waste your time. The workers here are rude, terrible, don't want to take their time, & take advantage of customers. 0 stars if I could.

Located near PCM in a busy plaza, Midtown Nail is truly in a prime location. There's a huge parking lot with a number of spaces available. If you're lucky, you may even get a spot closer to the building to avoid the stroll from the back of the lot to the salon. Booking via Classpass was a breeze and they offer a gel mani, luxury pedi and SNS options for under 22 credits each, which is a great deal if you have a subscription plan. So for me, it's always so great knowing I can get a great experience for a portion of my credits. My last visit was my best so far. I scheduled a luxury pedicure (+ gel) and a gel mani back to back. I was actually running a few minutes behind because I was starvinggg and needed to make a quick stop at Whole Foods, so I called in and the gentleman that answered was so kind and told me to take my time. I arrived about 8 minutes behind on a Saturday afternoon and phew! It was packed in there! I was welcomed in by the gentleman I spoke to on the phone, an older guy who I feel may have been one of the owners. He was so sweet! I was about to check in and he assisted me after I clearly didn't read the sign that was right out front stating that there was a special classpass check-in, smh. I totally forgot about that. He then pointed me to the nail shades and came over to confirm my Classpass attendance while just being a total sweetheart. I was quickly seated at one of the few open pedicure chairs as the nail tech replaced the liner for me. I got comfy and was given the wifi so I could watch a show on my iPad as I relaxed - modern comforts. I was so happy when another nail tech popped up to do my mani, I love when salons allow/have the capacity to do two services at once so I can get out sooner. Throughout the service, both nail techs were amazing. I asked the manicurist to be sure to clean up some extra paint on my cuticles, but that's always a big focus of mine that I don't like to be missed because it shows! He fixed it and I walked out with an exceptional manicure and a phenomenal pedi. With my gel upgrade, gel removal on my toes and a tip for both techs, I paid $40 which still felt like a steal. I'll absolutely be back!
