Got my V-day inspired nail designs from Zalak and I can't believe how happy I am to find an amazing nail tech finally in Atlanta. Her fully stocked nail studio and her art work is top notch. The quality of nail extensions she used were superb. Her gel manicures comes with 3 week chip guarantee. Honestly it's been over 4 weeks and they are still in place. I usually was scared to get it done from anywhere but the way Zalak assured me to relax and I trusted her designs and her work. I Trust her designs, her expertise and I was all set. The intricacies she has with her designs, I believe she is outstanding. Loved my entire experience with her. She really treats her clients like family. Very warm and friendly. Definitely try her for best services in Georgia. read more

I was looking for a nail place to take my 9-year old daughter to (to get a cool & creative design on her nails) and Zalak certainly didn't disappoint. My daughter had picked out a couple different designs in a different color for each hand and Zalak executed the design flawlessly. She's also very friendly and got it done in record time! We will be back to the Nail Bawse again soon! read more

Highlights because otherwise this review would be ten pages long: --she's amazing and super friendly, even though I asked her if she could take me last minute nearing 8p for a full set (she does have an up charge the later in the evening it gets) --so easy to talk to --understood exactly what I wanted, and picked a perfect color when I gave her dealer's choice --did not comment on the heinous state of my nails when presenting them after months of neglect (I apologize in advance for the photos, but she really did an incredible job) --changed the music when I wasn't feeling the jams and didn't make me feel awkward for asking --overall solved every problem I've had with other nail techs and my experiences thus far with manicures read more

I was SO pleased with my custom Katy Perry-themed nails that Zalak did for me! I came in with a rough game plan and she was ready and willing to brainstorm and get creative with me! She did such fine, meticulous work and I appreciated her attention to detail and getting everything *just right.* She is very sweet and really took her time--I never felt rushed, even though I felt bad for having such a demanding request! Highly recommend. read more

I am thrilled to share my experience with a beautiful pink French tip chrome Gel-X extension set that has truly captivated me. The chrome effect added a touch of sophistication, creating a mesmerizing visual experience that immediately caught the attention of those around me. The application process of the Gel-X extensions was seamless and professional. I was pleasantly surprised by how lightweight and comfortable they felt, as if they were a natural extension of my own nails. I'm so happy with my experience! This is just a response to the owners' reply. My original review remains. I never expect anything for free. I also always tip regardless of the quality of work which is why I tipped you. This review is merely an unbiased review of the quality of work I received. I never expect work for free but you literally did a bait and switch. You never told me nail art was an additional fee. I told you over the phone I wanted to do a design and that I always do hard gel. When I showed you the design in person you didn't say there was any additional associated fee. This implies it's the same fee we already discussed. How is a hard gel fill $80 more than the fee for a new full hard gel mani with design that you quoted me over the phone? Any reasonable person would assume it's less or the same! You didn't spend any time shaping my nails and didn't even copy the design I showed you. Additionally, you DID NOT offer to fix anything. When I asked you through out the process, you said it was "too late". I would suggest instead of making yourself look worse, that you take this constructive feedback and grow. read more

Asked for a simple black matte manicure came out with a sloppy job. My 6 year old cousin could've done a better job. The nail tech had a book of stickers on the desk, so I asked to add one of her banana stickers. She didn't cut or shape my nails. She rushed through the coats with no drying in between sticker placement. The sticker is squished. She applied the clear black matte coat while the black coat wasn't even dry yet. Some of my nails are shiny, others matte. I was under the incorrect assumption you were known for your nail designs. If you can't nail a matte black nail job, you sure your Yelp photos are yours? Photos below were taken right after I got my nails done last night. read more

If you're thinking about getting HARD GEL, do NOT go here. I have been an avid dip advocate and grew out my nails naturally with a hard time finding good techs. I decided to try hard gel and went here after reading lots about the trend and it being healthy. Please read this article about how it is healthy BUT needs to be applied properly: https://www.refinery29.com/en-gb/hard-gel-nails-manicure I went to her twice. The first time was free in exchange for trying the service, becoming a "fun new customer" as she wants on her Instagram, and checking in on her Yelp. Well my nail cracked bad within a week and it hurt. I couldn't come and get it fixed because I'm constantly working. In two weeks I had to come in and pay $70 (normal gel/dip/manicure price) for what she considered a "color change" and "one" nail fix. Also a shaping. Two days later, three of my nails have similarly broken and cracked in the middle and I can't do anything with my hands so I now have to find a new tech, cut down all my natural nails super short, and give up what I've been growing. I have never had this problem before with any tech or technique and when texting her about this asking for help, she blamed my nails for being weak. In any industry is never right to blame the client or customer. Again I went back to research and the article I have linked says proper technician form leads to Nail breakage such as this. Nothing should happen this quickly after a manicure and when she did my nails, it took nowhere near two hours -- she rushed and as you can see in the pictures it is sloppy. Lastly, she said to come in for the next "fill" it would be $120 at least. No thanks. read more

I was new in gel-x extensions. I was more than happy that I was not forced bro it or any expensive work. I was desperate for a salon that was open late and found Zalak. I'm not one to get designs often but Zalak was encouraging and patient with creating the design as we went. I have never done hard gel, which is pricey but was told it would last a month. I'm excited to have an option that actually last compared to the gel that peels or dip that looks more like acrylic and fake. My nails ended up looking natural and kept my real nails length. read more

I'm going to start by saying that I feel I found the one! The one that will be taking care of nails and I couldn't be much more happy! I was searching for an open nail salon on a Saturday evening when Nail Bawse popped up as a suggestion. I clicked on the profile, read the reviews and of course checked out the pictures. What I was most excited was that she was open late and also provided mobile services. I immediately contacted her through Yelp, responded within a couple minutes. I was impressed! She let me know she was booked for the evening (my loss), and that she would get back at me for Sunday if she was able to squeeze me in. Here comes Sunday, I'm busy with errands, forgot about our conversation, yet Zalak, contacts me right away that she was booked all afternoon but she would be able to take me either Monday or Tuesday which was fine by me. Booked my appointment online, she was also helpful with guiding me and provided the best customer service ever! As I met up with her, she showed me the difference between hard gel nails and gel overlay. I decided to try out hard gel nails and I am so glad she introduced me to this because I don't want no one touching my nails! She did such a great job! She was attentive, friendly, helpful and since it was late, offered me some samosas (which were to die for!!) and water. She went above and beyond! I have booked my future appointment with her and I'm excited that she will be coming to me! Where else can you get treated so good? read more

Two friends gave me a gift certificate so I could get a little pampering from Zalak while staying in Los Angeles. I'm not exactly sure how they found her; I suspect it was because her business is close to the hospital where my husband was being treated, and because she is highly recommended. Zalak's shop is spacious and comfortable. She has a wide selection of nail polish colors and nail art findings. With music playing in the background, my daughter and I had pedicures done and we were pampered indeed! Our toes and feet never looked or felt better! My only regret is that we won't be in town long enough to experience Zalak's friendly and expert services again. Thank you, Zalak! read more

Zalak's hands-down the best nail artist in West LA. I really respect people who take pride in their work, & she's so good & passionate about what she does. She's definitely very pricey, but I'm willing to pay the price. That's how good her art is. I'm from East Asia, and I always find that Nails salons here just couldn't do art & design. But Zalak's definitely even better than the artists back home. So I'm gonna hold onto her whenever I need this kind of service in the future lol. read more

Zalak is AMAZING! Cuticle care, shaping skills, and she genuinely loves and cares about what she's doing. She's not trying to churn out multiple people at once, she gives super individualized attention to your experience. She gave me a hard gel overlay after TWO separate salons gave me a dip bs nail job after requesting a gel fill/overlay. I came in annoyed at having to get my nails done a third time in as many weeks, but Zalak made it a fantastic/informative time. She answered every question I had about the nail process, what she was doing, and just general nail inquiries with a smile. Not to mention the true crime/binge watching recommendations. She's so nice and accommodating, and her adorable pup, Bubbles, is there to chill you out (plus the wine/champagne!), and she has a TV with Netflix/Hulu to watch whatever you want. Yes, she's expensive, but her attention to detail and excitement for what she's doing makes it beyond worth it. Nail Bawse - Nail Technicians Near Me

So I wasn't going to say anything about the apartment that she is doing NAILS out of a dog, ran up to me as soon as I entered, and she didn't even ask to figure out that I was allergic to dogs the house excuse me the apartment is a mess but I will say she has a fair amount of nail equipment Whether or not she knows how to use it I did not stay to figure out I asked for one thing and that was my eyebrows. The entire time it was someone in the next room, having a conversation that I could hear clearly arguing back-and-forth with their I'm assuming significant other about why are they behaving this way and they love them I swear I felt like I was being Pranked . Unfortunately, as a black woman When we speak up about anything, we are considered the angry black person, so I stayed calm I didn't say much and I prayed that I would at least make it out of the place alive . She charged me $20 I paid upfront and she literally butchered my eyebrows. She took half of one of my eyebrows completely off, I have the pictures to prove when I told her that she wax off the end of my eyebrows, she said there was no end of your eyebrow there. I said, oh my God well, there is no need to argue about it. The eyebrow is gone. I stood up and literally got lost in the maze of an apartment she lived in and had to ask for help on leaving. This apartment is in a congested project living area called Park La Brea I don't even want the $20 back. I want the hair on my face back now I have to go for however long it will take for my hair to grow back. Disgusting !!!!!!!! read more

If you're looking to get pampered by getting your nails done this is the ONLY place to go!! Zalak is truly amazing and a nail angel sent from the hand & foot gods! I had a last minute valentines date and needed to get my nails done desperately. She's a true artist and professional, that genuinely cares about the quality of her work and even goes as far as to guarantee customer satisfaction!! She is now the only person I will allow to work on my nails... (keep reading for the full background story and to truly comprehend why Nail Bawse should be the only place to get your nails done!) Just 3 days prior I had gone to your typical run-of-the-mill mani/pedi spa where they rush you in and out (because their profit is in the numbers of clients you can take in per day)... I decided to get acrylic nails for the second time in my life (I usually never get acrylic but my nails were ridiculously short and broken). I specifically asked the manicurist to please make it very thin as I did not like the usual bulkiness of acrylic nails. Well long behold not only was I left with 2" thick nails but the powder hardened all over my cuticle and was uneven. So I unexpectedly get asked on a Valentines day dinner with a guy I happen to be madly in love with... the last thing I needed was for him to see these horrible nails that were obviously fake and horribly uneven. So I immediately began calling every place in town (Greater Los Angeles area) trying to book a last minute appt. on Feb. 13 after finishing work at 7:30pm. Everyone was either closed or completely booked. Luckily I randomly called Nail Bawse noticing it was open late and based by appointment only; hoping that by a chance someone may have cancelled or there was availability. The universe was on my side that cold February night... Zalak answered and said she could return to her shop at 9PM just to take care of me!! I seriously felt like an A list celebrity. The shop was private and cozy making the experience a comfortable and personal one. I felt so at ease and relieved that I completely trusted her in what needed to be done. She filed down the nasty bulky nails and gave me the most natural looking nails ever. On top of that she gave me a beautiful french manicure that made me feel fancy and feminine for my date!! It gave me the extra boost of confidence I needed to rock this mans first valentines day experience!! I will never go anywhere else!! Yes the pricing may seem a little high but consider the fact that your nails will still look fresh and beautiful weeks later!! I used to have to get my nails done once a week because my gel would chip and my nails would then break... so far I've had my nails for an entire week and they still look great! Its amazing how good nails will change the way your hands look and how something so small can have a big impact on your overall confidence! read more

Really disappointed with my nails. Lumpy with bubbles in gel, art was not even close to what I requested. I would prefer a refund because I need to get my nails redone as soon as possible. However, I'm not optimistic about the loss of being refunded I did receive a partial refund. However it was only after she argued with me to update the review. So I am updating it, but I'm not improving it. Beware! For $175 your nails should look like a living work of art. Techs can't just charge prices because actual nail artists charge more. This is a nail tech. A nail artist like Red Iguana, who is a recognized industry expert, never charged that much. Not even close to that amount did I ever pay and that included full nail art like you see in her videos! This is a rip-off and I'm very sad to have to write a negative review when I was really hoping to find much better work and service. read more
