If I could give no starts I would. This was my first time here, my hair was a bit over grown I knew this I was ready for the pain. However after telling the lady multiple times did not want a Brazilian I wanted just the bikini line she Slathered a mount of wax and took almost every thing off. My skin was bruised !! She had me in tears ( I'm covered in tattoos, I have a high pain tolerance) She was so aggressive I almost walked out with wax on me still. I told the lady I wanted the cheaper wax before she started since I was on a budget... this lady agreed. After she went over the same spots 6 times leaving my skin raw and bruised she then charged me for a full Brazilian with the most expensive wax . DO NOT GO HERE. This place should be shut down, it's so filthy there too I swearrrr there was blood under the table paper and she wouldn't leave the room until I was dressed. They had great customer service and etiquette. The store is dainty and clean. The equipment is sterilized, the thread is an organic material that won't further irritate the skin. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and am looking for a new place in my area. I not only judge a threading job by how my eyebrows look, but also how the skin around it comes out. I will say the lady that threaded my eyebrows did a decent job- there are some hairs that should have been removed that were not, but I did not have the time to be picky since I went during my lunch hour. There doesn't seem to be a point in making an appointment at this place? It was nearly empty when I stepped in and they asked what I wanted to get done even after I said I had a 1:10 appointment. You're probably fine to just walk in for threading. The lady that did my threading was nice and fairly quick, but did not do the best job at getting the right angles to ensure she wasn't digging the thread into my nose while she was doing it. As mentioned earlier, she also left some hairs that should have been removed. If you've been threaded a few times before, you know that your skin usually needs to be held taut when threading below the eyebrow- this is not necessary when threading above the eyebrow. During the process, the lady told me to let go of my skin and began threading below my eyebrow and caught my skin causing a cut. For this reason, I would definitely not go back. The skin around your eyes is too delicate for that. At the end she also asked me if I had ever had a Brazilian and that I should come in and get one. I didn't think that was necessary- I personally really dislike when someone tries to upsell especially when I did not come in for a wax at all. read more

***UPDATED****This was not a good experience. I knew I shouldn't have went to the lady who had the best eyebrows cause that means someone else did them. So I just wanted them to be cleaned up for Thanksgiving by wax method. Usually I get threaded but in between I get a wax. It was the first one that popped up and they had good reviews so I said why not? I lay down the lady tries to talk me out of a wax I guess she couldn't do them. I said no just clean it up using wax. Scheduling was easy, my brows look amazing, and I was in and out. I was here Sunday shortly after opening. I've been wanting to try tinting. So I went in for a thread and tint because I've heard it's better to do tint with a fresh thread. Threading was great. No issues. They cleaned by brows up nicely. Quite painless. Which is always nice when threading. I opted for the medium tint as it was recommended for my skin type and hair color. I was slightly surprised that the tint burned a little. I use the term burn loosely - but it definitely had a "sensation". It made me a little nervous but I must admit though my skin is rather sensitive as of lately and that's not unusual even with my current skin regimen. Anyway - I let the chemical do the trick. And within 5 -7 minutes she started to remove the tint. She used an eyebrow brush - I guess cleaning it up. She showed me the result and I love it. I waiting a few hours to see if the burning lead up to anything but nothing - the sensation went away during the short drive home. If you check in with Yelp you receive 20% off your service. So that was a nice surprise perk. I've been to the location in Marietta - I think either location is a great choice. Both very clean locations with friendly staff. I hadn't had a wax in a while and honestly the last one made me skeptical so I decided to buy a Groupon for Wax, Thread, Scissors. I picked up a girlfriend for moral support and she also bought a Groupon. We were serviced by Bella & Asha and I couldn't have been more pleased! The facility was clean, like spic and span clean and the decor was bright. We signed in and didn't have to wait at all. Both Asha & Bella were extremely professional. We were advised that the wax was a soy based and designed to be less painful. The waxing was quick, with very little pain. The process did not have to be repeated, as their technique removed all the hair in each section on the 1st pass. Their conversation keeps your mind off of the actual waxing. We were given specific instructions on skin care to prevent irritation and bumps as well as their suggestion of a once every 4 week schedule. So, I'm giving this place 5 stars because my threading was done so well. My brows look amazing, and the woman working on my brows was quick. I tried threading because waxing tends to make me break out, and I've had less of an issue after threading. For those wondering, "how does threading compare to waxing?" Good God, it's painful. I've had my brows waxed, plucked, and now threaded, and threading was easily the most painful. I asked a friend about her experience (if any) with threading, and she also thought it was torturous. All that said, come here for sure, and if you like threading, they do a great job. If you don't like threading, come here and get waxing done. They're great at shaping brows. read more

UPDATE: Everything I've written in my original review below happened exactly the way I've described. However, the owner of the salon has called me after I posted this review to find out what happened. After speaking with the salon worker, the owner called back and said that the worker indicated that she had NOT actually performed a waxing service on another client (even though she came out of the treatment room wearing gloves and then tried to touch my face with the same gloves). She said that the worker was in the private treatment room DISCUSSING a waxing service with another client but the service was not actually performed. Either way, the worker was rude and gloves should have been exchanged for appearance sake, if nothing else. Particularly in the age of COVID. On the other hand, the owner really wanted to find out what happened and tried to make it right. I declined to go back and will continue to look for a new brow place. I did update to two stars since the owner did reach out. You be the judge! ORIGINAL REVIEW: After seeing the positive reviews of this place on Yelp, I scheduled an appointment to have my brows waxed using their online service. I arrived for my appointment and no one was at the reception area. I heard people talking in one of the treatment rooms, so I just waited. After a while, an employee came out of the treatment room with gloves on and her mask pulled down. I told her that I had an appointment. She directed me to a chair and pulled out some thread - I stopped her and told her that I actually wanted my brows waxed, not threaded (per my booking). She picked up their phone and started dialing. After (seemingly) going to voice mail, she slammed the phone down and then started to dial a cell phone... same thing again. She seemed totally exasperated about something. Then the phone rang and she began speaking to someone (it seemed like she was really annoyed). While all this was going on, she was still WEARING THE SAME GLOVES that she was apparently using on another client (in most places, those rooms are where they do bikini waxes, etc. but I cannot say for sure what service the other client was receiving). Came here on a Tuesday afternoon for eyebrow threading and a brightening facial without an appointment and got service right away! However, right after I arrived a few more ladies came in all with appointments and the store was suddenly packed! Most of them were there for a Brazilian wax... so maybe get an appointment if you are seeking a Brazilian wax. I was paired with Ruksana who was really sweet, polite and knowledgeable. She took her time doing my eyebrows & didn't make them too thin unlike many others. With the facial she explained what she was doing at every step and checked in with me every few minutes to make sure I was comfortable at all times. She has magic hands! The facial came with a head and neck massage that was perfection! She got all the pressure points which I loved. Only cons: the walls are paper thin so when it gets busy you can hear all the loud noises which isn't the most conducive when getting a massage or a facial. Also, they offer a 20% of any service with yelp check in. However, when I tried to use it, though they would let me another employee of the store insisted I write a review while waiting for my payment to go through! What?!? She also claimed the 20% was only with check in AND a review but she would give it to be as a curtesy that one time. That was the only thing that left a bad taste in the entire experience. It is conveniently located upstairs in Shops of Buckhead (next to a BP gas station). There are lots of parking (free!). I live really close by and they are usually good about fitting me in for a last minute appointment during the week. I always ask for Asha! She does a great job and is quick. I came here because it had good reviews and it's in the same building as my office. I went in and it was only a single staff member visible. She greeted me and walked me through the iPad sign in process. I was seated and she got to work. She was quick and the pain was no different from any other thread I've had. My brows looked really good. I would definitely go back, but I got Microblading recently(See Die Gorgeous review). I'd say definitely give them a try. I don't who did my brows but it was worth it. They also give you a card that logs your visits and you can end up getting one free. read more

I was really hoping to enjoy my experience at Wax Thread and Scissors, but they didn't meet my standards for Brazilian waxes at all, and I left feeling quite disappointed. I decided to give them a try after finding a Groupon for their Nufree wax (originally priced at $35, and I believe I got it for somewhere between $18-$20 with the Groupon deal). WTS is located on the second level inside the same plaza as Poke City, Pho King, Cami Cakes, etc. When you first arrive you'll check in at their kiosk located on the counter at the entrance. The ladies who were working here were really sweet and friendly. I was greeted immediately and my wait to get started wasn't very long, but I also had an appointment. Despite the friendly customer service this had to be the most painful Brazilian wax I've ever endured. My pain tolerance is pretty high, and I almost wanted to stop in the middle of my session, but I decided to power through it. I don't know what kind of pain-free nonsense was being advertised with their Nufree wax, but it was definitely more so painFULL. I don't know wtf Nufree is, but no. The girl who was waxing me told me that it was a soy based wax, but according to their website "Nufree is a natural, self-preserving antibacterial/antimicrobial, anhydrous botanical formula. It contains no wax, no sugar and no honey." As to which information is true, I'm not sure, but I do know that it's not pain-free. Not only was my experience already extremely painful for me, and I really just wanted it over and done with, the girl quite literally stopped in the middle of my session with my legs wide open and cooch hanging out mid air to open the door to speak to another client. Umm some of us women don't want to chance exposing our vaginas to the world. Super uncomfortable. I usually leave feeling like a beautiful freaking goddess after my Brazilian wax appointments, but after this one I just felt like a hot mess. There was baby powder all over me, and in turn it got all over my clothes. I even had baby powder on my arms--how? There was still leftover wax on me, and I still had several little hairs everywhere, so she didn't bother to clean up any stray getaway hairs at all and the cleanup was just sloppy in general. With all the better competition around the area, I probably wouldn't come back around to WTS for a Brazilian any time soon. read more

Bella is the Best!!! I am the scariest person I know. Scared to try new things. But TODAY I leaped and Bella was there to help me land. At 45 Years young I had my very first Brazilian wax. Bella made me aware of the areas of discomfort and made it easy to bare () I will not lie, there is minimal pain but it does not last long.
