I've been a regular for waxes at this Unique location since last summer. They are only a few minutes away from my house so I can be home and back in a little over 30 min. Most of the time I make appointments online but if I decide to drop in, I try to go on less busy days like Monday or Tuesday. All of my service providers have been great; some are more talkative than others which can make the process a little easier as a distraction. The waiting area and service rooms are always clean, and I've been greeted and taken care of soon after I check in. You get a discount when you pay cash, and I love to pay with cash so this is awesome for me. There is plenty of free parking because of the underground garage but rarely any spaces available in the parking lot near the business. The only thing I don't like is not being able to choose my service person. Although I've gotten lucky to have my fav often, it's just luck, and I'd like to be able to have her all the time. I hate to admit it but my mother is right. I need to stop saying never. Before today I would NEVER walk into a random shop to get my eyebrows threaded without a recommendation from someone else whose brows I approve of, or doing online research for reviews. This is not the best location. Not only do they lock the doors before their advertised closing time, but they're quick to argue with you when they can't properly remove hair as expected (eyebrow threading). When the technician improperly removed at first pass, they shortened the hair without removing it to where it couldn't catch the thread on a second pass. The Buckhead location is much, much better -- but just a haul for me since I live on the east side. read more

Today was my first time to this location. It's a pretty new location. I called ahead and they had availability. I called yesterday and they were booked so I would recommend calling ahead of you can. I went here three times and got a different experience every time. My first time here was alright - wax was good, but nothing else to comment on. The second time I went, the esthetician was personable and really easy to connect with. We conversed the whole time! My most recent visit, the esthetician clearly didn't want to be there and it showed. She was very careless in her wax removal process. One time, she pulled the wax off, saw me wince a bit, and she shrugged and said "beauty is pain." It was that interaction that prompted me to go back to my usual wax studio. There are multiple Unique locations, and this is not the best one. (Read these reviews carefully; some were left for different locations by people who weren't aware that each one has a different Yelp entry.) Waxing/sugaring is usually fine, but the waxer with the shoulder-length bob and heavy bang doesn't clean up properly and will leave wax on your skin that ends up getting on your clothes; it doesn't come of (fabulous haircut, though). The threading has become so hit or miss that I no longer recommend this location. I usually ask for Mina, but she wasn't there last time, and the tech I got was really slow and used a lot of pressure. It hurt like crazy, and she broke the skin under my left eyebrow. A couple of times before that my brows have been uneven, they've taken off the ends, or the lines weren't sloppy. Your eyebrows are the foundation of your face. Someone taking off the ends may not sound like a big deal, but it is -- it makes your face look wider. I started going to the Ponce location; the threaders are more consistent so you'll be OK regardless of who takes you. read more

This was the worst experience ever! I made the appointment online. Upon entry nobody said good afternoon, hello, nothing. Ok. I go to the little podium tell the lady I have an 1230 appointment. She then points to the room. Ok. About 1 1/2 minutes later she knock and come in at the same time while I'm still removing my panties. Ok she then proceeds to put an insane amount of powder on me. Do these people not know this is linked to cancer? Ok She then put the VERY hot wax on. She could have fanned or waved it, but she went right from wax to skin like she wanted to cause extra pain on purpose. She never said her name or what she was about to do, didn't confirm if i was getting a bikini or Brazilian. OK .when I say this is the roughest I was EVER handled in my life. She was handling me as if I had no feelings. When I said something she mumbled something under her mask. This was the worst experience ever. When she finished she began to angrily clean the room while I was getting dressed. Whatever she spayed on the table got all on me and the side of my thighs. I hope I'm not allergic. I never got waxed and had the person clean the room while I was in there gettin dressed. Ok. When she went to the register so I could pay she did not look up once. And to think, I was still considering leaving her a tip. When she handed me my receipt- I said "thank you" she did not open her mouth. I tried this place because I needed a wax, but didn't have time to get to my normal spot in Buckhead. At first, I wasn't sure that it would work out because I tried a couple of times to book an online appointment and kept getting an error. After no success there, I called the number to book over the phone and got a man's voicemail. Ever persistent, I drove there and inquired. The next day, I was about to book without issue. I got a call to confirm my appointment, and another to inform me that they'd been having some issues with their card reader, and it was best if I brought cash. I appreciated the confirmation and information in advance. When my appointment came, I was pleased that there wasn't a wait. The service provider was polite, knowledgeable, and informed me of each step. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I'll definitely be going back. Great staff they all abided by COVID guidelines. I made my appointment by phone prior to coming in there was a small wait before me but that was fine. It was my first time getting a full body with Brazilian wax and the woman made me feel very comfortable throughout the process and it didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would after she was done I was able to spin a wheel to claim a prize I won hand sanitizer which came on a key chain.
