We have passed this restaurant so many times with the realization that there was this little humble restaurant in a huge plaza, but never quite remembered to go back to try it. Today was the day, as I was craving sushi and remembered it, so in we went. Zero regrets! Ambiance/Service (3/5): We went around 1 PM on a Saturday and it was surprisingly dead in there; we were the only ones who dined in and there was only one customer picking up an order the entire time we were there. However, it didn't feel awkward. There was a TV playing on medium volume and the older Korean owners were really nice and made us feel welcomed. They gave us two bowls of complimentary miso soup (which our toddlers loved). Food came out relatively quickly. It definitely has mom n' pop vibes which I love. Decor was minimal but clean and the restaurant was well maintained. I think the place would make a nice casual dinner date. Food/Value (4/5): We ordered the udon with 4-piece spicy tuna roll combo, the mixed tempura appetizer, a baked salmon roll and a California roll. The total came out to $51.25. Prices are super fair for what you get, especially if you're craving special rolls or want a little of everything (they have so many combos). I'll review our food specifically below: -Udon & spicy tuna combo (3/5): Udon came in a pretty big bowl with udon, fish cake, green onions, and tempura flakes. Udon was nice and chewy, but the soup itself felt like it could use more depth. My husband wasn't a huge fan of the spicy tuna roll; he noted that the flavor wasn't the best, texture was bit different and the roll itself was loosely packed. He said he'd skip the spicy tuna next time. -Mixed Tempura (5/5): This was delicious. It came crispy and hot, with ten pieces total--2 each of pumpkin, potato, zucchini, carrot, and shrimp. The kids loved it and the sauce complimented it well. -Baked salmon roll (4/5): This was tasty, but it left something to be desired. I guess I'm used to heavier baked rolls with more creamy sauce reminiscent of a rice casserole made into a roll. Their rendition is essentially salmon placed on top of a CA roll with a drizzle of some sort of sweet soy sauce, but it was tasty nonetheless. -California roll (5/5): Awesome price and awesome taste. Loved every bite. I would come again just to order multiple of these. They don't skimp on the filling. Overall, I would give this place a 4 because it was a great lunch experience. We live relatively close, so this might be my go-to sushi craving place in the future. Would definitely come again and support this little mom n' pop shop! read more

I came here to check out their breakfast and let me tell you I was impressed. They had this toast with avocado, onions and tomatoes 10 out of 10 I even tried their breakfast udon and the broth was so delicious. I even got into their onigiri and I tried their California their crunch the tuna and the salmon, and they were all so flavorful. But their yogurt Matcha was my favorite as well as their torch spam musubi so so good definitely you're gonna wanna come check out for their breakfast. It is such a cute little mom and pop shop. It's like a hidden gem very friendly very clean. I'm definitely coming here to have breakfast and their actual lunch and dinner. I came here wanting to try something new and when I walked in I was given a warm welcome, asked if I was eating in or takeout. He comes here often as he lives nearby. The owner/server was very congenial and greeted my friend warmly, recognizing him as a regular. We sat at a table and were brought menus and a bowl of miso soup. I decided on a chicken & beef teriyaki plate that came with rice and salad. The beef pieces were tender as was the chicken although the pieces of chicken were rather dry. The teriyaki sauce here is excellent and I combined my rice with the excess on the plate; quite tasty indeed. Prices are great for the amount of food you receive. It's not going to be the best place you ever ate but certainly well above average for a small sushi/tempura/teriyaki joint. read more

A friend suggested Midori 5 for lunch so we met there. We got Bento boxes and I was pleasantly surprised. It came with a bowl of Miso soup, mixed tempura, a Cali roll, salad, and teriyaki chicken. Everything was delicious and it was more than enough food for lunch. There weren't very many people there midweek lunchtime, but the servers were very attentive and kind and we ended up sitting and chatting for a long time and never filled any pressure to leave.
