It was almost eleven o'clock at night and I had a serious sweet tooth. I honestly did not think anything would be open but my husband did his research and found this gem and I am so glad he did. Midnight Cravings is exactly what it sounds like. A late night spot that makes fresh baked cookies to order, topped with ice cream and all the fixings. You wait just a little bit but it is completely worth it knowing everything is made fresh right then and there. I ordered the Apple Bliss and it did not disappoint. A warm cookie topped with caramelized apples, caramel drizzle and Biscoff crumbs with two soft serve swirls of vanilla ice cream and additional caramel on top. Nine dollars. Nine. Considering the size, the quality and everything that comes with it, that is a deal. You can easily spend nine dollars on just a cookie or just ice cream somewhere else and get far less. The wait was minimal for something made to order and the end result was absolutely worth every second. That warm cookie with the cold ice cream combination and those Biscoff crumbs had me from the first bite. Honestly there should be more places like this. For anyone with a late night sweet tooth, whether you just left dinner still wanting something, or you just need that midnight fix, this is your spot. So many options to choose from, we chose the cookies and dream - it was a warm brownie with crushed Oreos on top with vanilla ice cream. Well the service was fantastic and speedy, and the environment was nice. The dessert left much to be desired. For the $9.74 I paid, I felt like I deserved a better taste than what I was given. The same cool guy has been working the truck both times we've been, in his The Cookie Boss, t-shirt. The vibes are lovely. But the treats... are not really anything special. They are good, don't get me wrong. I'm not knocking them. I'm glad I ate them, and they were tasty, but it's pretty basic brownies with ice-cream. I'm not sure why they are called cookies? I would say if you want a little treat on a date, out with friends and want to extend the night a little, or are looking to just get out of the house for a wee a little adventure, this is a good spot. If you really just want a great dessert though... I don't think Midnight Cravingz is what you want. read more

The flavor was fine, but nothing that really wowed me for the price. They offer a 50% discount if you leave a Google review but you have to do it before ordering, which feels a little backwards. Personally, I think a check-in or post-visit review would make more sense. Service was just okay nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. Also, just a heads-up the address on the Instagram reel is wrong. They've moved to a food truck area on Barton Springs Road, which would've been nice to know before driving around confused. Wanted to try a new dessert place while in the area so stopped by here. While we didn't stay, there is plenty of seating on their rooftop! Service was quick, probably took 5 min or so after ordering at most. The churro option was super tasty, like one big cinnamon toast crunch. The cookie was a highlight, but dang it's sooooo sugary. Because of that I think it's good to share with at least one other person, if not two. But, undeniably the cookie and ice cream pairing was great! It shares a space with Mad dog. A little bit dumpy looking inside, but sure ok with late night bar traffic. There are 4 tables inside. A lot of their dishes appear warm with soft serve so you need to consume it fairly quick after you order. They don't pay much attention to busing the tables. We cleared and tried our best to clean a table that had residue on it. I enjoyed the apple bliss. It would have been perfect with a cup of coffee as it was pretty sweet. Wasn't bad at all. The ordering process was simple, we used the self serve option in order to place our order and it took around 5-10 minutes. The treats itself were pretty good. I found that the main portion was pretty good but kind of heave and too much for the amount of ice cream given so unfortunately I didn't finish that but I really enjoyed the ice cream it was very tasty. I think it's a good place if you want a sweet treat that's a little different than your average. I have tried the biscoff one with like a sugar cookie and biscoff crumble and sauce...I love biscoff but this just wasn't my favorite. There's no way to customize the ice cream or anything because it's all vanilla, which is fine, but it tastes like really cheap ice cream. I feel if they leaned into some local stuff like Bluebell or Amy's it might taste a bit better quality for the asking price. It is slightly overpriced in my opinion for what you get, the cookie wasn't even really warm, kind of dry. I've also tried the chocolate lava one which is essentially a brownie with some warm ganache on top but nothing like an actual lava cake. It would have been dry too if there wasn't the chocolate sauce on it. Definitely tastes prepackaged in a lot of ways but it is edible and convenient!
