Stopped for some delicious dessert after eating at El Alma. The cookies are pretty darn good but the brownies are to die for! Nuha's is located in a cute little food truck, and there is a nice outdoor seating area in the back with picnic tables and twinkly lights. This is a little cookie food truck tucked between 2 stores. I tried 3 cookies, Greed (snickerdoodle/cinnamon cookie), Gluttony (s mores), and the triple chocolate one and all 3 of them were so good! I can barely pick a favorite. Plus, they were really nice. All in all, one of the most pleasant experiences I've had with Austin food. I can't wait to try all of them. read more

I was going to pop over to Terry Blacks to see if they were hungry, but we stumbled into the market for just water instead and as we stood out front chugging it before heading back to the park... There it was! A cute little trailer with a sign that said Seasonal Chocolate Caramel Apples! What!?! Yum! My fiancé came here for a quick dessert and let me tell you, we went to the right place! The cookies are so moist and melt in your mouth. These cookies are AMAZING! I got the Pride and Lust (chocolate chip and red velvet chocolate chip). They are a great size and 1 is definitely enough, but I wanted to try more! I think the prices are very reasonable for the value and size. It's a truck in a convenient store parking lot off Barton springs, so it's a little tricky getting in and out of the parking spots. It was a super cold day when I stopped by for a cookie. I had the Greed: S'mores flavor with chocolate, graham crackers, and a perfectly toasted marshmallow on top. The cookie was so warm and moist, a wonderful mix between sweet and salty. The outside had a nice crunch but the inside was melt-in-your-mouth soft. My boyfriend got the Mexican vanilla ice cream with a wrath cookie (snickerdoodle). And I got the Belgian Chocolate. I didn't get any cookies because I was full from lunch at that point. Cookies here are huge. Snickerdoodle tasted yummy, but I found it to be quite stale. Ice cream tasted amazing. Highly recommend the Belgian chocolate! There is little to no wait to order. We only had two people in front of us when we arrived there. All in all, Nuha's is a pretty decent dessert place. I had an event at the Palmer Event Center and was looking for something quick. I saw this food truck and to my surprise it was a dessert truck. I had the chocolate chip and the red velvet. We got the peanut butter, red velvet, and s'mores cookies to go. We took them home and tried to take a bite of the red velvet cold. It was so hard I could barely bite into it. And not that sweet. So in the trash it went. The peanut butter was a little better but also overcooked, and this is after warming it in the oven. The s'mores was basically just a chocolate chip cookie with a weird tasting mildly toasted marshmallow on top. I didn't taste any graham cracker at all. I think they should ask you whether you want them warmed up. The staffer warmed ours up without asking, and we weren't going to eat them then. When I did pull my s'mores cookie out of the bag, the marshmallow was stuck to the inside of the bag and half of it remained there. The cookies are slightly on the larger size - which is actually the right size since I only have to buy one to be full. I've tried the chocolate chip, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, triple chocolate, and red velvet. Once she had a special banana bread cookie which was also great. Her trailer is fortunately (for her, not so fortunately for me) located 2 minutes from my apartment so it's very easy for me to get my cookie fix. The outside of the food truck has a display of all of the available cookies ready to eat, which was great in picking out what kind of cookie I wanted. After getting suggestions from the worker, I got the Greed (s'mores) cookie with Mexican vanilla ice cream. The cookie was warmed up and was huge and thick! They were super generous with the ice cream because there was about 3 scoops in my bowl. All of this was $5, which is a decent price for the large portion of dessert. The dessert was definitely filling and not overly sweet. The cookie was a little too crunchy around the edges, but was softer towards the middle. I really wanted to like these desserts. Even though the descriptions and names promise decadence, the actual flavors lacked personality. Nearly every flavor is interchangeable with another. Maybe adding more salt to they recipes will help bring out more of the flavor profiles that are promised in the descriptions. Taste aside, the textures and temperatures were great!
