Middleton Movers moved heavy furniture from upstairs to downstairs and from the basement to the first floor. This move was two days ago. During the past 35 years, Middleton Movers moved us for two house moves, many office moves for my husband, and several apartment moves for my two adult children. They are the same for every move. They come on time, the men are courteous and careful and they work from the time they walk through the door until the job is finished. Our first moves were done by Herb Middleton until he retired and since then, his son, Dean Middleton has taken care of us. The movers all seem to either be related to the Middleton's or friends who have worked for them for 30 years. In all the moves, not one item has been broken or lost. They are careful with every single thing. Their prices are fair and reasonable. Their work is so good that I often wish I could pay them more! There is no job too big or too small for them to say yes, they will get the job done. If 10 stars were available, I would give them 10 stars. read more

What an easy move! How often do you hear that? I recently made the move from a second floor walk up apartment in Chicago to a single family, 3 floor home in Highland Park. Middleton Movers could not have been better! First of all- Dean Middleton put my move together on short notice, not an easy feat. And he was as nice as could be about my lack of planning- what a doll! As for the move itself; the team arrived EARLY, quickly assessed my items and got down to business. No loitering about trying to bulk up their time- fast, efficient, courteous and careful! We had many heavy items and, like most people, items that were irreplaceable in our hearts. I am in love with Middleton movers! I experienced difficulty in setting up a moving date due to my buyer's financing approval- it kept getting pushed back. I must have rescheduled 4 times or more. Middleton movers accommodated my every need. Their communication was excellent. They arrived on time (early) and the guys were polite, friendly, courteous, careful, and nice as could be. They even swept the path outside before they came in so they wouldn't track things through the house. They asked where everything went, and didn't roll their eyes if it took me a minute to decide or moved something twice. I would say "Thank you!" and they would say "No, Thank YOU!" They have been in business a long time, and I would be they have never disappointed anyone. Middleton Movers has moved me multiple times over the past 30 years, but the move two weeks ago was the most difficult -3 hrs away, bad weather, a very limited window of time, plus a few added complications thrown in. Dean Middleton and his team of movers were A+ from the beginning to the end. They know their business. They arrived on time, worked non-stop, were friendly and professional and more than helpful. Heavy antique pieces and fragile china were carefully transported without mishap or damage. Their prices are highly competitive and beat out national franchise fees. I recently moved two blocks away. I packed and moved all the small items since it was only two blocks. I hired Middelton to get all of the large furniture. The day of the move it was snowing like crazy. Mark and David showed up early and worked tirelessly. They carried VERY heavy pieces of expensive furniture up and down stairs. They had to load and unload on a snowy ramp to and from the truck. They were fast efficient and respectful of my property and my home. Ok, first of all I dont do this much but found it much needed, Dean Middleton the founders son, which I worked with in the 1970's (Herbie) his son really runs a "class act" he not only came in for the free estimate prior to the move but the estimate was only about an hour over and it was raining the day they moved us from Winnetka to a retirement home they plastic wrapped the furniture and took great care and no damage keep up the great work I will continue to refer you to friends and whoever we meet. read more

After spending 18 months planning for sale of our house and discarding a huge amount of "stuff" compiled over 21 years, we were fairly well organized. So, we were looking for efficiency and a fair price. We received both from Middleton. Well, not sure where to start, they came out prior to the move, estimated the move and then we decided to book with the owner, after careful review it was a smart choice he honored all the things he said he would, deal with Dean Middleton our quote was off by about 150 bucks he quoted us about 1100, no bad news here : ) : ) read more
