This place is so fun and trendy The cocktails here were extremely good The bartenders are super friendly We didn't get the opportunity to try food. I'm actually not sure if they even sell food, but totally worth it for the cocktails and ambience

Scam. drink doesn't exist, who names an espresso martini this, "Ariana Grande" . Love the artist, not the price

Didn't let me and my friends in because of one missing ID (although he acknowledged we all were the same age-jokingly). I get the process so we know better. He jokingly (ben) said, "oh you guys can buy a bunch of birthday shots while your friend waits outside". That's quite disrespectful and unkind. (kindness is free!) HOWEVER, I asked for the eenie espresso martini for $9, and they charged me $18 and the drink is called "Ariana Grande" which isn't even on the menu..... Confused. We were respectful and I gladly ordered a drink to thank them--- but I got ripped off on Thursday night. Welp, don't go here I guess. Would love to go to a bar that has more positive and groovy energy given the aesthetic they offer. 0/5 0/10 :/

We swung by Friday evening because the inside of the bar caught my eye as we were walking around downtown Pleasanton. The inside is currently decorated to match the Halloween season. Very cool! We ordered 2 drinks and appreciated the decor inside the bar. I think it originally is a 70s-80s themed bar since it had a lot of retro sound systems and disco balls. Even the bathroom has decor from that era. It has 1 pool table in the back that's free play but expect it to be busy! All in all, I quite like the bar. Although the drinks can be pretty expensive - $8 mocktail and $18 for a mixed drink, I think it's a great spot to either end or start your night. Not bad of a place!

Our server Crystal was bubbly and friendly and made me a speciality cocktail that was delicious. I don't recall the name of the drink. The bar area was packed for a Saturday night. There's seating along the wall with couches and tables. There's a pool table towards the back of the cocktail lounge and around the corner where the bathrooms are located, there's a room for parties. This lively, hip cocktail bar is a nice addition to downtown Pleasanton, especially for a ladies night, or a date night. When you walk in to the left is a piano, and against the shelf on the wall is an assortment of old school records. There is a small but ample space for dancing in front of the bar area, but sadly no dancing was going on. I will be back maybe next a DJ will playing music to groove to on the dance floor. On more thing there was no menu and I didn't see any food being served just drinks.

Came here after leaving bunch it was the perfect after party location. This bar was well thought out the decor is amazing and it's a vibe .. the music set the vibe they have a playlist so u can't make request. it's lots of photos options here . they have a large drink menu. They always offer cheese and crackers with a ton of hot sauces. . The service was good . When the new bar tender came in she was annoyed and has a smart comment something about they have a dishwasher when my friends complained about the champagne glasses were dirty. . She got new glasses and we moved on. Other than than that we had a good time and enjoyed our time and plan on coming out it was nice to be there at opening and having the bar to ourselves

It's a great new bar in the area and I want to fully support this and other similar businesses because who wants to travel to SF for drinks!! But, the service here was very slow for us on a friday evening. The bartenders were not at their happy best self, you would have to Yell to have them pay attention to you asking a drink since a long time: Drinks are okay but the vibes is amazing. On Friday's they also have Your Taco Guy catering right outside this bar

pickle sauce

Always a vibe- used to come here when it just opened so me and my friend could play pool (billiards?)(8 ball?). I miss when they served cheese and crackers with the dill-licious pickle sauce. Came here the day after my 21st and the bartender gave me a blowjob shot on the house... good times... #neverforget

Such a cute bar with retro aesthetics. I absolutely love the decor. The drinks were amazing and well crafted. A perfect place to come with friends or bring a date!

My fiancé and I love Middle Eight! Came here for NYE 2 years ago and it was packed and incredible. The classy vibe & the piano are everything I've been missing in Pleasanton, and honestly the bay area. The drinks are way better than anywhere else. Crafted with care and fresh ingredients. I've ordered over 7 different drinks here and they're amazing. Def my favorite bar. The owner here is very friendly and hospitable, as well as super friendly bartenders Luis and Sevy (?) thank you!!!

Cute cumber and old fashioned

Middle 8 is always a staple- never misses on the drinks, vibes, or conversation. A must stop! Benjamin makes the best bevs & is so amiable!

I love this bar!!! Tuesday is karaoke night and it's always a great time! Crystal is always so fun and attentive and it's like a family reunion when you walk in here! I have a habit of leaving my phone and drink unattended sometimes and have never had an issue, ever! Great drinks, great staff and lots of fun! Highly recommended!

Japanese gin!

So this place is a nice addition to Pleasanton. It has an old school speakeasy vibe. They have a nice collection of spirits and many I haven't heard of. Bartender Ryan was so nice! I told him I love gin and he started showing me all kinds of gin! Well stocked with different flavor profiles. I had two cocktails, one with gin and one with mezcal. Both we excellent. Ryan can make some drinks ok. I wish I could remember the names of each. Sorry. Just tell him what you like and let him do his magic. The bar does holiday theme decor throughout the year which is fun. There is good music. There is a pool table too. Nice chill vibe. Enjoy.

They can get a little busy, so be patient with the staff as their drinks are very popular and might take a little bit. The staff was really friendly, attentive, and gave us clear expectations for wait times the whole time. The ambience was awesome for the pop-up, the decorations were super cute, and the attention to detail was awesome. Me and my boyfriend were guessing how many hours it might've took for them to decorate the whole place. It was awesome and super decked out The drinks were really yummy, food came out fresh. This would be nice for a simple date night, as well as hang out with friends. There's also outdoor seating, so you could bring dogs or maybe have time with the family too as well, since it's a full restaurant

The food is cooked to perfection. The presentation is outstanding. They have a wide variety of different plates so no matter what somebody in your group wants there will be something for them. Their signature drinks are to die for this time I had a peachy king and lemon drop. I wanted to order the hoppy hour but it was so popular that they were sold out. I've come during the week and on the weekend. It doesn't matter which time I've come it's been GREAT! Today I came on a Sunday and they actually have a Sunday brunch where they have a live DJ they play music. They have shots going around it's fun and if you're going out with the family like I did today, you can sit in the upper area that's away from everyone else having the brunch fun. It was still fine even though we brought the kids and sat in the upper area. We could still hear the music and enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend this place. It's a shame that I live so far away in Tracy that I only get to come once in a while because if I lived closer, I would come every weekend.!!! The desserts are so good!!!

They had a lot of great drink options, and we tried quite a few. I can't remember all the names, but in the pictures I posted, the yellow drink was the sweetest and didn't really taste like alcohol, so that was our favorite. The espresso martini was great, and the lavender drink I got was really good too. Overall, though, we would all probably pick the yellow drink over the others. The food itself was incredible. I got the corn ravioli pasta, which was sweeter than I expected, but I should have guessed that from the ingredients. It was still delicious. The jambalaya was by far the best dish at the table, though. Absolutely incredible. The Chinese noodles also had an amazing presentation. I've never seen something like that before, and they tasted amazing too. The staff was really nice, and overall, this is a great place to stop by if you're downtown Pleasanton and want a nice dinner!

Every bite tasted like the first bite and was heaven. Such excellent seasoning and cooked to perfection. So were the potatoes. For dessert, we had the cookie butter sundae, which featured Biscoff cookies, ice cream, and a caramel sauce. It was tasty. I'll definitely be back, thank you!

We really enjoy Main St. in Pleasanton and hadn't tried Elia yet so we decided to make a reservation and come here on a Monday evening. This restaurant is gorgeous! It's very charming yet fancy at the same time. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. To be fair, it was a slow Monday and there was plenty of seating. We opted to sit outside due to the nice weather. They brought us waters and bread to get started which I appreciated. For drinks, my wife went with the Cab and I chose an old fashioned. Both came out promptly. For appetizer's, keep in mind they're not very large portions and can take a bit to come out. I suggest 1 appetizer will be enough for two people. Order more than you think you need if you're hungry or it's a larger party. Since it was later in the day, we both chose salads for our entrees. They were delicious! You can tell the ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Our server and service was great- we were checked up on just enough but not too much. Our server was soft spoken, friendly and efficient. I always enjoy working with a server who is professional, courteous and not overly invasive. Not only do I plan on coming back, I'm going to be telling all my friends and family about Elia. Will definitely be doing a birthday or two here in the near future.

Super kitschy bar in Livermore. I heard they rotate a theme probably seasonally. They'll totally…read moreredecorate and create a temporary atmosphere to keep the crowds piqued and interested. Like I'm sure they'll do something for the Halloween months and I'm sure it'll get all Christmas-y during December. In the summer months when I went, it was kind of an underground island-pirate themed. "Lost Pigeon Island." Now the decor isn't high production or anything , think school dance level production. There was a turquoise aquatic color scheme in a darkish space, a cotton-y material by the door that towered toward the ceiling to give the impression of a 3D cloud. And the feature I was most a fan of was they had these huge 'painted' portraits of a heroic pigeon in the theme for the season. So a pigeon with a shark in one frame, another pigeon in pirates garb in another. And these frames were above the main booths so everyone can just soak up the fun. Place gets busy and they do take reservations. Rezzies might even be mandatory on Friday/Sat nights I'm sure. We strolled in on a lazy Sunday afternoon no prob, but the place was like 85% filled. There was only 1 bartender that time of the day. And these labor intensive cocktails take a while to make. Multiple bottles to grab, different mixers for each drink, different glassware, garnishing fruits or spice and dabs of assorted bitters. Cool tender told us he'll be with us as soon as he can. We said no prob. Probably took a little over 5 minutes for him to open up. But it was entertaining enough watching all these elaborate drinks get made right front of me. Toasted Trader ($18/4*) Bourbon , Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Italian Holiday Tea, citrus and bitters. Not sure if this was made to specs but there may have been a slight alteration. Not that I'd really know but I thought I heard the bartender mention something. But the drink was served up, with a garnish of star anise inside the glass and a cinnamon stick that he lit to smolder. The drink was so smooth and interesting, a touch sweet and sour with a creamy texture even though it was clear-ish. Menu says 'clarified milk punch' but I have no clue on what that entails. I just know it was pretty tasty but think they left out the Cinnamon Toast Crunch part out. Which wasn't a deal breaker. Afterglow ($18/4*) Cilantro infused vodka, cachaca, citrus, ginger, tiki bitters and mango liqueur. Another very interesting concoction this time garnished with popping boba which silhouettes in the warm yellowish cool liquid. We each only had 1 as fun as the drinks are and as kitsch the vibes were, we are just kinda simple and straight forward drinkers. A Ketel n soda and/or a double Jami on the rocks with a beer back. And this block has several choices for such simplicity and lack of theatrics. I'd still come back if I was with the right people and occasion. It is pricey but with the right peeps can be a fun and whimsical out.
