No frills pub. Local watering hole with affordable drinks and - for the most part - friendly people. I came here initially because I heard they have karaoke nights Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Karaoke nights are more metal/rock-themed, but feel free to sing whatever you like. They also have pool tables and TVs. If I'm being completely honest, this place is more of a three star for me, but I have to bump it up with the way management handled issues I had with a patron heckling me and a former KJ who tried to ban me from the bar because my presence upset his girlfriend. Management stuck their neck out for me both times, and I truly, really appreciate it. Thank you, Gallagher's, for creating a welcoming space, and I'll be back on a future karaoke night. read more

We only just found this place with our friends last Friday - right when we are moving out of the area!! Wah. This is the perfect "dive" bar but not really "dive" as in dirty/dark/filled with miscreants. This bar is filled with colorful characters, live karaoke, collection of Leprechans, couple playing Lord of the Rings card game at the next table and nobody giving them shit, The waitress could not have been sweeter, keeping us lubricated with chardonnay and Guiness. (not together) The karaoke regulars were SO talented - many had exceptional voices and the ones that didn't were so earnest that we applauded them louder. They all had their obvious favorite Go To songs and they sang them magnificently. This is exactly a place we would have loved in college, especially the pool tables. But I don't think they would let you use them during karaoke. read more

Such good vibes except for the girl in the black hoodie vaping... smh... a bit disappointed that they didn't address the girl vaping indoors... No... a lot disappointed. I've been here with coworkers and another time on a date. Friendly bartenders offer good service and pour cheap drinks. Went to Gallaghers pub with a group of friends for a night of music, Halloween costume contest and karaoke. It was so disappointing, head banging heavy metal music for three hours, no costume contest and no karaoke while our group was there. That was the whole point of going there. Plenty of people in costumes..bar thinned out by 10 pm. We might try again just for the benefit of the doubt. Shouldn't advertise if you can't fulfill! read more

I loved that it wasn't crowded, the pool tables and cues are in good shape and the tables are quarter operated. Update -- I just found out they censored their jukebox to keep away swearing from the bar. Still love it here but let's all just agree that's a really dumb decision from management considering it's... A BAR. Say what you want about Gallys, as someone who has been going there for the last 2 years this will always be "my bar". The regulars and bar staff always make the place feel warm and inviting. Best time to go will always been karaoke nights, there's a perfect mix of amazing and awful singers every week that make it never ending entertainment. But without hesitation I was told I could live my best life. : ) They provided me with an awesome dj, and taco man referral. All of my guest had the BEST time!! The dj was prompt and played great music. The taco man was also prompt and served amazing tacos and agua fresa. The bartenders handled all 40+++ of my guest quickly, professionally and with a smile! Gallagher's is a solid local hole in the wall bar. There's plenty of parking given they're in a shopping plaza. We usually go here to play pool since there isn't a LOT to do in Dublin. The only thing I'm not super fond of - they never give you an itemized bill for your drinks. I'd def like to know how much am I paying for each item vs a total bill. read more

What is this place? -It's a solid local bar that's been around for a few decades. -It's a place where you get a few pints or a few simple shots. It's a place where if you go a few times everyone will know you and you'll know them. -It's a place where instead of taking my ID, card, or a promissory note, the bartender opened a tab just based on my name. This place is not the worlds greatest bar, but it is what it is. If you accept that and are ok with an average at worst beer selection, you are fine. Sometimes solid bands come here though it gets cramped and the St. Patrick's day celebrations though not the level of a savannah, Georgia trump any suburb I have ever seen. Not too many creeps but locals for sure. This and evie's are the only true local hangouts remaining in Dublin after Dublin pub closed despite their seemingly equal location, bigger menu, better stage, better outside seating, and more TVs. So Gallaghers must be doing something right to overcome those disadvantages. read more

Great lil Irish pub/dive bar. Free pool on Monday and only $1 a game every other day. Very clean and bathrooms are nice for a bar. All the bar tenders are great and my favorite is Joanna on Tuesday and Wednesday. They got a great DJ Jon Jeezy on Saturday. Karaoke every Thursday, Friday and some Sundays with DJ's Richie Rich, Nor Nor and Chamber Greystone. Special events like chili cook offs, birthday parties, business meetups, Mardi Gras, the fattest St Patrick's day event in the entire Bay Area. There is a sip and shop/night market hosted by Island Woodz once a month from 3pm to 9pm with food and craft vendors from around the bay. Happy hour specials are Monday thru Friday from 3 to 7. 4 large tv's around the bar for sports and entertainment. I'm a local and this is by far the best spot in town. read more

The bartender and patrons are really nice though they did stare at my buddy for a few minutes after walking in. We were on a mission to check out the different bars that Dublin had to offer. By far, my favorite place I've visited on this business trip. We wanted to go to a place with Karaoke or a place to have fun! This place has Karaoke on Tuesday's and Thursdays... we came on Wednesday, but we had a BLAST! Environment: very much an Irish pub vibe! There are pool tables and it's a u shaped bar. I had some fun here a while back, I've only been here once but I had a lot of fun. They had a large bar area where mostly older folks hung out. My coworkers and I made some good use of the pool table, it was easy to get drinks, and we ended up walking to a nearby restaurant for dinner. Came by with the boyfriend after running an errand to get something at the Dollar store. This place is right next to Round Table pizza. It's your local neighborhood bar. Classic vibe. Playing classic hard rock on the juke box when we went in. Nice touch to have free coffee for the patrons. For my taste, I like the Dublin Sports bar a bit more because of their choice of beers. Update - 10/25/15 I had the pleasure of meeting the owner last night and thought she was very nice and she took the time to explain to me why things are the way they are.
