Marco and the guys are SO awesome! We have taken our car here several times and each time they are fair, quick and kind! I'm always so skeptical of repair shops because I know NOTHING about car repairs lol... but this place makes you feel so comfortable and will tell you what needs to be fixed now, what can wait. There is no pressure to do work or pay for a bunch of repairs you can't afford. I love it! So this morning when we walked out to the car and saw a flat, we knew we needed to head to this shop. I typically don't write many reviews but this business deserves an outstanding one! Not only did they tell me I didn't need shocks right away (even though my ride was spongy at best), they walked me around my vehicle and showed me why I didn't need them replaced immediately. That type of service doesn't come around often in the automotive repair business. I ended up replacing them anyway as well as replacing my brakes and getting an oil change along with a complimentary tire rotation. Marcus, the front end person is very professional and courteous. More importantly he communicates and executes on what he says he will do......no surprises and no up-sells! I had the opportunity to meet the owner who oversees three locations and he is committed to providing EXCELLENT AND HONEST customer service. We all can have anxiety when that "Check Engine Light" comes ON! However you skip a beat when the Oil Pressure Gaige sits at ZERO at the same time! After a phone call to Manager David Z. I was told I could drive our 2007 Tahoe in as long as no noise was coming from the engine. After a professional and quick diagnosis by Certified Mechanic Manolo, aka Stilts, I was assured it was a simple Sensor fix. Brakes were also checked and determined to be in need of warranty replacement very soon after having them for 50,000 miles and measuring at 20% remaining. Everything done here is legitimate, professional, and fair. No up selling for commissions like dealer service advisors! After noticing that my brakes were grinding pretty badly, I called my dealership and got a ridiculous estimate that I wasn't able to pay for. I called Midas and I don't regret it at all. The man who answered was super friendly and helpful over the phone and he was also able to help me set up an appointment to bring in my car (that same day) despite how busy they get. It is my first time taking my car to Midas, Steve was able to help me when I came in and he was very informative and thorough with the explanation of what was needed to be done to my vehicle. Long story short my brake pads were extremely worn out and my rotors needed to be changed asap and they got the job Not only was the estimate better than the dealership. The amount of time it took them to fix my issue was impeccable. I am extremely satisfied with my visit and I will definitely be coming back if I ever need to. I had a scheduled appointment to get my rear break pads done already but I totally messed my kids school schedule up and was in a rush to get in and out to pick her up from school. I called and Allen Hallenbeck answered the phone and said just come right in and he promised to have me in and out within a hour ! He did just that too! I was in and out within the hour. I brought my 4 year old and he even out a rush on my car. That way I didn't have to wait forever. He was so amazing. 'Mike' from this store has an ego bigger than Orange County. WOULD NOT recommend this shop to anyone under the age of 55, or anyone willing to stand up for themselves. This guy was a tool, didnt want to help us pick up our car, asked who we talked to on the phone as if they were our golden ticket... finally decides to help us after a barrage of pointless questions then made us pay for more even though this was our second trip in to fix a problem that i told them how to fix (and already paid the first time) Hilarious. Midas came to my rescue today in a big way! I was getting my older vehicle smogged and and ran into a problem. Basically, one of the hoses on the engine was cracked and would not pass smog until it was replaced. The smog tech told me that I should go over to Midas Service Center (Midas was in the same business center) and ask them if they could replace this hose. I drove over to Midas and spoke with one of the managers. He was so courteous and helpful. He told me to drive my vehicle around to the back and they would take a look. A repair technician opened the hood, removed the cracked hose, came back with a replacement hose and had it installed within a couple minutes. Wow, it was amazing. They went out of their way to quickly help me with this repair. Everyone there was great! When I asked what I owed, the service tech just shook his head. smiled and said "Nothing!" UPDATE 4/3 Went back after getting a ridiculous quote at other places for my welding job. Decided to get my exhaust worked on. When I arrived they looked a bit busy but still greeted me and took me right in without any wait. Work done: Flex pipe, resonator and muffler were all cut off and replaced with new ones. The work on them look great. I might post before and after pics later. Felipe does great welding. Price: I obviously looked online and know how much parts are, everyone should always do the same. Muffler part and install is around $120. Resonator part and install is around $65-100 Flex pipe part is around $17-35 plus labor. In the end the price that was given to me was good. $20 more then what he quoted me the first time I went but Ill chalk that up to taxes. Time: Pretty fast, about 1hr and 45 mins. The work didn't look rushed at all either. Office: Was clean, chairs are comfy. Reading section. NO WIFI (such a shame as I was getting a bad connection there). No TV either to pass the time. There is a bathroom, Unisex. Free coffee. The only thing super close was Jack in the Box. Otherwise its a bit of a walk to other places to try and pass the time on longer jobs. Going back today for more work and a get an oil change ( i usually do it myself but feel lazy this time). read more

I have an older Toyota matrix which started to misfire on a recent trip to Vegas. I took it to several mechanics who all said to replace my spark plugs but they didn't want to look at it. I'm not usually a fan of auto chains like Midas, but they were close and said they could do an inspection as well as the plugs. Alan, the manager (owner?) Was extremely helpful. He got me in quickly did a thorough inspection which found several more serious issues including a failing catalytic converter. Knowing that the cat would be really expensive he did a couple extra tune up things and had me test it out over the next week. After we were certain it was the cat and I paid for a CA approved replacement (which is very expensive but not his fault) he ended up doing a couple other small things for free. Everyone there has been friendly, they explain everything that they find and work really hard to find your cheapest option without sacrificing quality or safety. I will definitely be using them again even for more routine maintenance, just because I trust them to be thorough and efficient. read more

I found this Midas muffler shop about 18 months ago after moving to Irvine. We had a local service center we did business with for 20+ years in Newport Beach,CA but right after we moved they closed. When I walked in for the first time I was greater by Allen. Seemed like a really like able guy. Turns out, after way to many trips back, the guy isn't just likable but he's as honest as a long summer Alaskan day. In every interaction we've had, my son also takes his car there too, Allen and his well trained staff never cease to impress us with candid advise, incredible service, very fair prices, and the occasional good laugh or two. These folks are a compliment to the automotive business. If you looking to work with quality people when you need to have work done on your car then you would be remiss in not at least giving them a shout to go over your auto repair needs. I've now taken my cars to this shop a few times. Every time I have received top of the line customer service and most importantly I fell like I can trust this shop. Previously I took my Jaguar in and left it with them for about five days and they worked on this car diligently until they found a resolution. They did not overcharge me for anything and gave me their honest advice about the most economical thing to do with the car at this point. In fact, I will be bringing this car back to them for some more work. Just recently I took my Lexus for brakes. I assumed I would need pads and rotors. When I talked to them they said I only needed pads and that could resurface my rotors. They were upfront and did not try to screw me over. Because of that, I went ahead and purchased my tires with them instead of going to a tire shop. They called around and got me the best deal and gave me a discount on the alignment . I would highly recommend this shop! They are also very timely on getting all repairs completed. read more

My daughter is a student in Irvine & her car needed rear brakes. My husband & I are from Sacramento. During our visit, my husband took her car to a shop in Fullerton near his parents house. After the brake job was completed, he returned to Irvine. Prior to reaching the hotel in Irvine a few miles out, he notice the car begin to shake from the rear and a burning smell was coming from the rear brakes. He decided in the morning to take it to Midas, two miles away from the hotel. My husband and I were getting on a plane that morning but David the Manager of Midas assured him that he would inspect the brakes thoroughly and follow up with us. After the inspection, it was determined that the shop in Fullerton left off a part, causing the brakes to malfunction. Called to make an appointment the manager Dave said don't need one bring it in the morning and we will take care of it. Showed up told him I was the one who called last night and that my brakes needed adjusting and that I believe the emergency brake was not hooked up properly by another company. About 15 minutes later they informed me that that was correct and it normally would be $85 but since he quoted me 45 to hook up brake that's what he would do it for that. The guys at Midas really helped me out! I had traveled from Torrance to Santa Ana, on my little spare tire since I didn't have time to fix the flat before I left and had to get to an appt. I was finished up at 5:30 p.m. and I was desperate to find some place to patch my tire so I could get back home. A tire place nearby turned me down and suggested Midas right next door, so glad they did. The guys fixed my flat in about 1/2 hour, put it on my car and put my spare back under the car! As good as it gets. Alan will go above and beyond in taking care of you. I have been to this location for a regular oil change. My experience there was beyond great. These people really know what they're doing. They seem very organized and don't seem to waste any time getting what needs to be done done. I wish I knew everyone's name to give shoutouts. I do know one of their names; Alan. He is very friendly and extremely informative. I love that they check everything and tell you what else may need to be done, big or small. I love that they do not pressure you into getting more work done when you've only come in for one thing. It takes time to find a solid mechanic that is honest and fair with pricing. This particular Midas has proved that to me. I had some issues with my car and came to David asking for a quote and even before giving me a price gave me a few ideas to troubleshoot the issues to see whether I could fix them myself or not. Instead of trying to give me a steep price to fix the issues, David gave me some potential quick solutions. I really appreciated that. For over 20 years I took our cars next door to the Midas place, but their service became spotty, slow and I tired of hearing stories of the internal strife between the employees and the owner. Finally, I tried Marco at Midas. I've never looked back. The greeting is prompt, usually by name after the first visit, and the costs are fair. We've got two cars and they all now go to Marco and this Midas. Very satisfied and would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone in need of a car repair or service. I am a super pissed off customer. In 2006/7 I took my 1977 corvette to get new brakes and rotors. I moved out of state and can't get my car back there. Anyway I paid for 4 rotors and 4 calipers and pads with a lifetime warranty. Well my front drivers side brake was acting up so I took the wheel off thinking I may just need pads. The rotor is worn on one side only so I looked at removing it and noticed that the factory rivets were still installed. I called the store and they said they had no records and that not sure if they used different parts. I pulled the front passenger and both rears off and the rivets are gone. So your shop charged me for 4 rotors and only installed 3 plus who know if they did the complete work. I know its 2020 but the car has only been driven on weekends and special occasions and 8k in 13/14 years. In addition the same lying fake mechanic dropped a wrench on the fender and the store had to pay close to 500 to get it fixed. Same ownership so it doesn't matter who is doing the work plus the manager is very rude and disrespectful. His name is David read more
