REPAIR WORK NOT GUARANTEED! I brought my vehicle to Midas back in June '2013 and the issue I took in for is still not resolved in Janurary 2014! Original issue was that while driving the car would pull hard to the right. I thought an alignment or something with the the suspension may be the issue? I was told that the Rack &Pinion(steering box) was bad and needed replacement along with some sway bar bushings. I had mentioned I had an extended vehicle warranty on first conversation if was more serious issue; the manager said didn't like to do warranty work but would anyways. At any rate, after the repair the problem did not improve at all. I called to talk to the manager and was told that the problem I was having was because my front tires were worn. I insisted that they recheck the alignment. They did and told me that everything was good, and that if I hold thd wheel straight it drives fine. The issue of hard pulling was still there...don't let go of the wheel for a milisecond or the car would make a right turn! I bought new tires for the front and it didn't . It only took a month and half for the tires to get eaten up from even more serious alignment issue! So I took the car to another repair facility to see what they could do. They said that the boots for the Rack & Pinion were torn and that was done so by faulty installation and alignment. They didn't want to do the repair since someone else started it. I took the car back to Midas and a new manager Jeremy was helpful and 'seemed' to want to help remedy the issue. Was told the alignment machine was off and it had been a problem for a while as was told by previous manager Mike. He took my car to another location on Alph Rd and the car drove somewhat better despite the excessive worn tires. The issue of the Boots still remained! They couldn't find the right boots and after bringing car in again after alignment fix I was told they would have to special order. The issue of replacing my tires that were ruined by poor alignment was sidestepped continually. Another week went by and I was told that parts still not here and that he needed me to talk to his area manager and co-owner of multiple locations C. Pace. I talked to Mr. Pace, who 'seemed' to want to make things right, to setup a time to look at my vehicle in Plano on W Parker Rd. Long story shortened: was told my tires wore out because not top of the line and that the rack & pinion was faulty from warranty company and that there was a frame issue that needed to be addressed first. After buying some new/used tires I took to a Frame & Alignment specialty place and they did final adjustment to Alignment issue that fixed it. Minus a bent wheel that they were surprised no one caught! I was told it was not necessary to do anything with the supposed frame issue. I had to deal with warranty company in Midas' behalf and wait even more for them to settle issue and finally send warranty co adjuster; who said Rack & Pinion was NOT defective and that the boots were torn by poor installation and/or frame issue. Midas ordered me a new/used wheel and when arrived told me that they would replace the Boots if I PAID $100 for each BOOT and $170 for LABOR(Not to mention the cost of second opinion from another repair facility and the frame/alignment place). I purchased the wheel despite this disservice and took to a tire shop for install, who told me I had been way overcharged for the wheel(I paid $230 as opposed to new dealer price $400, thought got good deal). I have had GOOD service from Midas years ago; but be warned as to how FAULTY REPAIRS are handled by any Midas owned by the 'Pace family'!!! read more

I've been a regular customer at this Midas location for all my oil changes. During my most recent visit, they informed me that I needed a new oil pan due to the plug or screw being stripped. This was surprising because on my previous visits, they never mentioned any issues with the oil pan or the screw. I spoke with the manager, Jordan, who explained that this is a common issue with Honda vehicles due to the aluminum oil pan, which apparently doesn't last long before failing. He stated there was nothing they could do for me and that any solutions would be at my expense, despite Midas having done all the work on my vehicle. As a result, I'm reaching out to the Better Business Bureau and writing this review to inform other customers. This Midas location does not practice good ethics. They are friendly and professional until something goes wrong, then they adopt a hands-off approach, making it your problem to fix, even if they were the ones who caused the issue. These guys are beyond GREAT! I think every girl expects to be taken advantage of at these places. I went in for an oil change and thought that morning before I went, lets see what little extras they say I need done? New Tires?? New air filter? Brakes? All of things that every other place said I needed. I was almost betting myself that they would come back and say you need this done or that done. The service I received at Midas was better then I expected. management listen to what I needed done and worked with me to get it done. I had my 64 Malibu in the shop and they replaced the rear brakes, replaced the exhaust system, replaced the Emergency brake cable and they even Inspected my car so that it would pass the state inspection.
