Whatever you do, don't go in there and get help from daniel i wasn't able to go take the truck in so I sent my wife for an oil change and tire rotation daniel must have seen my wife by herself and thought she would be easy to take advantage of we dropped the truck off at 1 p m thinking it shouldn't take that long for an oil change entire rotation then, four o'clock comes, and we get no phone call that the truck is done so I tell my wife to call at this time.Daniel tells her that the truck is ready.Good to go.You could come pick it up so we head out there to pick up the truck once we get there my wife is paying for the oil change then, daniel comes out and says that we have to get a new tire.Because it has a nail in it and i'm thinking to myself, I fully inspected the truck before we took it there.I know for a fact.It did not have a nail in it the nail looked brand new and it was on the side of the tire and he said that we wouldn't be able to get it patched that it would have to be a brand new tire.But that he could get me a good price on it with warranty this sounded way too sketch to me.By the way, he was acting suspicious in his movements we told him we bought the tires. Came to Midas for an oil change and because my car was squeaking while braking and when driving very slow. Squeaking was extremely loud. I was told they would do an inspection to make sure what the squeaking was. I have a VW Taos 2022. I got a link to what was found during the inspection. Link stated brakes were fine. But when I received a call from the advisor he stated the issue were my rear brakes. Rear brakes and oil change were done and the car is still squeaking the next day and I received a message on my dashboard stating oil level needed to be reduced. They were closed the next day so I had to wait til Monday. Call into work since I work the same hours they're open. I go back and I'm told "we will inspect the car and see if it's the front brakes" what??? How would it be the front brakes if supposedly they had been inspected on Saturday already! I get a call that the squeaking is being cause by the rotors and would be fixed at no extra charge. Next day again the squeaking is back and as loud as ever. Going to this MIDAS was a waste of time and money. I don't have the patience to return a 3rd time to be told it is now something new when they have "inspected" my car twice. My brakes still squeak very loud when I brake so i don't know what the hell was inspected or if it even was inspected. Definitely disappointed in the service and customer service. I told him exactly what kind of car I had year mileage. They quoted me a price over the phone. They even quoted me the price at the shop told me my car would be done in a couple hours called me and the price went from a little over $300 too close to $1000 for pads! I went off. Told him to put my rear tires back on. I was picking up my car called my import mechanic immediately and told him the situation. He said they had to honor the price and told me why would I even take my car to this place and I said they came recommended he said I could make them honor the price at this point, I was extremely upset and furious with this company. They went to tell me that it's a BMW and I said of course it's a BMW I told you exactly the year and everything they even took the code off the door. They knew exactly everything about the car before I left it with them at 10 AM before they called me at 3 AM to give me this price. I told him they were out of their freaking mind! Midas may be good for oil and tires Anything more than that DO NOT GO HERE. Long story short If they think you don't know anything about cars they will try to take advantage of you and charge you more or make up problems that are not there. LOOK AT ALL THE REVIEWS I do not recommend Daniel at all he kept telling me that he knew what was doing to my car stating he was a GM mechanic ect but when I asked him what was done so I could figure out what was going on he then told me the mechanic that worked on it was not him but in fact someone else who I couldn't talk too because he didn't speak English. When I stated I thought the price was too much he responded with a tone of voice that clearly stated he thought I was dumb for not going with it question less. Which customer service 101 never make the customer feel wrong or stupid. He then proceeded to talk very condescendingly to me when I asked about taking a warranty off the parts so I could afford the service. He stated no and then when I - shouldn't have had to- explained at this point I may just fix it to sell it cause I can't maintain it he still refused to print a quote with that price. He verbally said maybe 1k less. When I said I would go somewhere else he stated he would love to see me find a quote that was less with the same quality. Anyways I'm here to state that I did in fact find one for 3k less than he quoted and once the work is completed I will give Daniel that quote since he would LOVE to see it. (: cheers, advice two great mechanics I've found at realistic prices robs auto shop and the auto shop - both have stated that he was ripping me off and its not legal to do work and charge as a licensed mechanic without a disclaimer signed. which I didn't even receive to sign for the work that was done and paid for..... I needed an oil change today and jiffy lube was trying to charge me double. We left to find somewhere else to do our business and decided to call Midas. From the jump, the guy that answered the phone was not only extremely helpful but he was friendly. We asked if we needed an appointment and he told us to come on in! The manager Mark was awesome! As soon as we filled out our paperwork, they got started on our car. We explained to the manager how Jiffy lube told us it was mandatory to use synthetic oil. We told him they told us there was a TSB on it and asked him if he could look into it for us. He immediately checked on it and said there was nothing in the system. Just as we had suspected. Our oil change was completed in a timely manner and we were on our way. We were so impressed with the great customer service that we decided this will be our new oil change place from now on. Great service! I was in a pinch when I was visiting in Modesto and my brakes were shot! The kind manager was kind enough to squeeze me in even though they were booked till closing time. It was a Saturday and I needed to get home on Sunday when they would be closed. They barely had my car ready right before closing time and I am so grateful to them. This happened about 2 weeks ago. I made an available appointment online at 4:30pm -5:00pm today by accident, when I meant to request an 8:00am-10:00am for tomorrow. Upon receiving a confirmation call from Mark, he condescendingly scrutinized me for making the available 4:30pm appointment seeing as it was an oil change and that can take a bit of time. I apologized, telling him it was a mistake and he proceeded to reiterate his frustration with me doing so. In this 30 second phone call, I had to pass on bringing my car here out of self respect. I took my vehicle here because it needed new brake pads and rotors and under the previous ownership I had a lifetime warranty on the brake pads. Although they changed ownership they said they would honor the lifetime warranty. Upon inspection they sent me a detailed report that included several things that they said needed replaced. With each item there was a picture of the item they said needed repaired or replaced with one notable exception. They said I had a broken control arm and cracked bushings that needed to be replaced and the estimate for that was $791 on top of the $490 I spent on rotors. It seemed odd since I had just been to another repair shop that did a similar inspection and didn't note any issues with the control arm. We elected to take it elsewhere. We took it to another certified Mechanic that we have history with and he told us there was nothing wrong with the control arm or bushings. Essentially they tried to charge us $791 dollars for something that is in perfect working order. We asked to speak to the new owner and he said we must've misunderstood what they said. He completely dismissed our complaint and denied any wrong doing on their part. I wouldn't trust this place with my vehicle and more importantly my credit card. read more

DISHONEST swindlers!!! After spending over $2500 in repairs, they said they did an oil change as part of and then closed and went home. I drive to gas station to check oil and it was below the low level line and dirty. I left voicemail for Midas with no return phone call , of course. They will try to cheat you. DONT TRUST THEM!!! ...2 weeks later I get website to go to from Midas, but of course, useless. It's not even a real site for Midas. Mark the new owner of north midas is a fraud and scam artist. Thought i'd come out strong to get that out of the way. About 2 months ago i was having problems starting up my car, so i thought i'd look online to see some reviews to help me decide who i should trust with my hard-earned money. I saw some reviews that this midas has always had terrible service but it was recently bought by someone named Mark. People say he is a stand-up guy and honest, but that's clearly wrong. Sure he has the niceties down (he called me young man when referring to me, nice touch!) but the mechanic essentially replaced parts on my car did not need to be replaced. He said the problem with my vehicle was that it needed a new battery and alternator. The alternator was apparently taking the juice out of the battery and it was about to die along with my alternator. He gave me a price of $820, and after thinking about it a few minutes i decided to approve the charges. I should mention that when i asked if that was the best price i could have he fiddled around the computer and dropped it down to $760. I thought Great! This seems like a good place to do business. Wrong. After he said my car is fixed and giving him $760.00 the problem was not fixed period. From the moment i went home it would not start. So i do what all people do in this situation. I call. I'm told that when they installed the battery it caused some wiring issue and he agreed that he would fix it as long as i paid the labor. I thought okay i guess that is reasonable. I take the car back and he tells me they know of the issue with the wiring. After checking the car they say that they can't do anything for me because it requires a special part and they send me on my way. They tell me it's the wiring and needs a special part yet made me replace a battery and alternator. After taking it to another mechanic i was told that my battery and alternator did not need to be replaced. I dont think he did this out of malice, i think they understood they made a mistake but of course they weren't going to foot the bill for their mistake so they just lied to me and sent me on my way. I want to give this man the benefit of the doubt. It could be a coincidence that it just so happens my alternator was bad and needed to be replaced anyway, however my issue was not fixed period from the moment i brought the car home. And the second mechanic told me it wasn't necessary. and there is the fact that he told me the issue my car was having is draining my battery, i mean... mark didn't even tell me "hey Steven you know you need to get this fixed fast or your battery will be drained again" Even though that was his justification for replacing my battery. It just seems... to me that this place is not honest and they scammed me. Don't listen to the reviews, mark will stick you with a huge bill, lie to you, and send you on your way. So thank you Midas for taking $760 and doing nothing to fix my issue i paid you for. read more

Well I had an oil leak so I took it in to have checked. After they checked my truck out I was told I needed almost every seal you can think off replaced so after $3000.00 later and about 30day I now have a small leak. So I took it back and was told it was coming out of a new part they put on so they replaced it and I also let them know I did not think they did one of the valve covers do to it was all dirty and not cleaned like the other one. Yes the manager did not like that. So after I go to leave I had my check engine light come on so I check it out at home and it was for both knock sensors at the same time. It made me think that was odd so as I looked under the hood I found that they did not plug them back in. WOW that could have messed my engine up. I WILL NEVER LET THEM TOUCH MY TRUCK AGAIN. Nope. Never again. First I was charged for 2 hours of labor and was told my car would be done (hopefully) by 1130am but I was out at 1030am? So where'd the other hour go? I've never had my brakes in a "chain" shop before but I was going to the mountains this weekend and needed them done ASAP. $320 for the front alone? Okay. I was desperate. I leave and everything feels good. I'm happy. Flash forward to 30mins ago when I drive it to the store and my Chevy lug nut hub cap things are gone. Two have fallen off, and two have two nuts that are crooked (not put into the hole correctly.) I'm pissed. I called and all they did was put me on the phone with a guy (who I never saw and didn't talk to at the place) who said he was the one who put them on HIMSELF (he kept saying that like I'm just supposed to take his word. Sir? I don't know you.) I called on the same day they did the job about 5hrs later and they do nothing but tell me they tightened them and that when I left they were there. I've had my car for 11 years and the ONE time I take it there I lose my hubcaps within the same day? A $24 oil change was offered, but why would I bring my car back to the people who didn't do a simple thing like PUT MY HUBCAPS BACK ON? Don't. Just don't. read more

If you want to save on time (because this place has poor time managing) then please go somewhere else.. they have a girl named jocy that works here that is absolutely horrible. Breaking parts on "accident" which they call "human error" then taking 7 hours for a tune up because they are bouncing back and forth from car to car (which you shouldn't be doing). The manager (Richard) says "well there's not much I can say, all I can say is I'm trying to get it done now". 7 hours later. It's absolutely ridiculous. Worst service. I've taken my 2000 Toyota Corolla in there several times. I have to say that I really enjoyed working with Herman. He's always been reasonable in pricing and willing to talk about why everything costs what it does. In comparing prices for the work I've had done, check ups, brakes, oil changes it's been very competitive. One of the best parts about working with these guys is that they get things done quickly. When other shops in town have asked me to drop off a car and wait several days to get a diagnosis, Herman and team have always looked at my car within the day and most times offered to have the work done the same day too. Recently, I had a battery terminal clamp come loose causing my wife to loose power while driving. Once I got to her, I called and asked if they could do the quick switch out for her.
