I cancel my oil change but I was repeatedly asked to make a new spot, I did, I went in 3/17/26 I saw the guy drained the oil but I didn't see him change the oil filter, as I'm sitting i see him taking pictures with camera and I'm wondering why, The car was down as I'm sitting the lady told me my radiator had a hole, I was never told that before and the car never ran hot, I'm shocked, I had no problems with the car, she charged me 65.00 for the oil change and told me it would be 1300 for the radiator that I didn't know I had a problem. I think I was tricked in 74 I think I was taken advantage of due to age. They literally begged me to come in for oil change. I had no leakage, I usually get my oil changed at jiffy lube and they never mentioned there was a problem. It's so suspect since they begged to come in and my age I'm taking advantage. This location is a dishonest and I intend to file a lawsuit to return all monies scammed from me. They sponged the cost of their parts, included perjured verbiage on receipts that cannot be seen until you sign an electronic device. After my car was allegedly fixed and paid for, the battery stopped working. The battery was jumped and wouldn't start up once I made it home, as well as my heat blowing on the left of my car and cold air on my right. This was done intentionally and whatever was disconnected, was connected back. I had to have NTB Tires put power steering fluid in my car on December 28th because the car was hard to steer as it was the first time I stepped into Midas. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I walk in and wasn't greeted by anyone. After standing at the counter for 10 minutes a older black lady came in and asked what I needed. She didn't greet me at all. I asked her about the 3 for 1 deal and she said I have to pick my tires. I told her I needed some insight and if there is anyone I can talk to who can explain the pricing. She said nothing and just went in the back. I was waiting for another 15 minutes as I watched her and 2 other black men sit in the back on their computers talking big amongst each other. After using the bathroom I came out and asked one of the workers if I'm waiting for anything. He nodded yes. After a longer wait and none informing me exactly on what I'm waiting for the lady came back out and gave me a paper with the price of the tires. I asked what type of tires these were and she couldn't ask: the manager comes from behind the back and asked me what I need. I said "hello" and he said nothing. Just very rude sad. I waited three hours waiting while the mechanic was checking my vehicle. When he was finished, I was given four pages of information about "check engine light" and a lot of things it could mean. Anyway I asked the gentle at the desk was the "check engine light" off, and he said it was. I am now thinking the problem is fixed. On my way to the inspection station the light came back on. Sadly my vehicle fail. The whole problem was it need the sensor to the catalytic converter replaced. Midas charged me a total of $207.11 for labor. While the Forestville Midas has been my go-to for general car service and oil changes over the past two years, my experience this past Monday has probably been by far one of the most memorable experiences ever. Ivan exhibited the most gracious customer service in the way he handled myself and the incoming customers. Because this location does not take appointments, walk-ins are dealt with on a first-come, first- serve basis, and he made sure to give them reasonable time frames as it pertained to when they would be able to begin working on servicing their vehicles. When it was time to explain that I needed an oil change, Ivan let me know that it would be 2 hours, and took the time to patiently review my profile in the system to determine if a conventional or synthetic oil change would be most appropriate. After letting me know that my last oil change was conventional, he let me know what the price would be and proceeded to finalize my invoice and collect my car key. Upon my return, Ivan addressed me by name, and let me know that my car was just about ready along with informing me of the supplemental services that my car would be in need of soon, to include 3 new tires, a left front fog light, tag lights and an air filter. While he thoroughly explained the procedure required for booking these particular services at Midas, there was absolutely no pressure for me to book these services immediately, unlike most commercial repair shops that tend to hold you hostage and nickel and dime you while they have you in the store. Once I reviewed my detailed summary of service, Ivan let me know that they would be releasing my car from the workshop, and would pull it around to the front of the store. During the final transaction, Ivan remained courteous, attentive, and patient in interactions with me and the remaining customers in the store. While I only paid less than $30 for a standard oil change, this experience had me walking away from the store feeling like a king and that my vehicle received 5-star treatment, which is how people should always feel in these circumstances, no matter the service they choose to receive. I highly recommend visiting the Forestville Midas location for your vehicle service needs, and particularly want to shout-out Ivan for going above and beyond to consistently exemplify excellent customer service! read more

I came bright and early to get my wheel alignment. I am a big morning person so let's keep that in mind for this complaint. I've been actively working on my car and I'm very aware of what it needs after certain mechanical jobs. So I was eager to express the issue I was here for and why . This man clearly was not a morning person and made me and a elderly lady feel very unwelcome. It's not what you say but how you say it . He was very short with us. Seemed agitated off of any question or remark said. I asked did I say something wrong or inappropriate he didn't respond . I even apologize in case I came In too excited but I'm a nerd and well like this stuff . I highly recommend you guys work on your customers service . **Long story alert** I stopped by Midas last weekend because my car had a terrible shake in the wheels and steering wheel. While I know how to do basic maintenance on my car like the oil change, brakes, o2 sensor.. when it comes to things you need heavy equipment for, I can't really do. It was my first time visiting, all of the guys were extremely polite and informative. Being a woman, sometimes guys in auto shops are very nonchalant and bland, not these guys!!! Great experience! I thought what I needed was an alignment but really, my tires were just in horrible shape (I knew this) but I didn't know it would make my car perform the way it did ‍ I was given a quote for 4 tires plus wheel alignment, and warranties and everything else they could charge me for.. you could imagine it'd cost me a fortune. However, they were all great recommendations. I ended up buying 4 tires from Walmart after watching many reviews on them. All four arrived in about 3 days and I got them balanced and installed at the local tire shop up the street today. The guys here at this Midas location are the best. Ask me about stuff about cars and I go bug-eyed. I have no idea what you're talking about or what you want. I came here obviously to get my brakes worked on. They were asking me questions on what exactly I needed worked on. I was like...I dunno...just fix the brakes. The guys took their time explaining the different kinds of brakes and when they should be replaced. Suddenly, I feel enlightened! The guys were working on the cars within minutes. Not like other places that make you wait an hour before they even think about your car. Ya know what I mean. In addition, they kept their waiting area very clean. And their TV actually works! I know a little about cars from my dad, they tried to suggest rotors when mine were smooth and not metal to metal, told me I needed new tires when I still had enough treads, took it to another mechanic, and he said brake pads was all I needed. Where do I start. Let's just say this place needs major improvements with their customer service especially if your the first point of contact for customers. The front desk staff (Specifically David & Christine), attitude was horrible and as someone who has worked in customer service for 10+ years I was extremely disappointed. First off I did a quote online and set an appointment, came into the store and was told a completely different price. I understand that quotes are just a general price estimate but when their quote came back with a price difference of close to $200 I asked for clarity to understand why it was such a drastic jump. David informed me that it was a price difference on the tires. That was understandable but that only account for $60. I wanted to know about the other price points as well to figure out what else I was being charged for. His help stopped their and that's when the attitude really begin to kick in. Once I saw the shift in mood I just asked for a manager and surprise it was him. I then proceeded to ask for the person above him so that I can get the help that I am asking for. He give me the store card with the address and fax number then proceeds to say that their is no one above him. At that moment I reached out to the Midas I usually go to on Central Ave. They informed me of the owner of this location and was actually able to give me his sons name and let me know that he was at this location. I spoke with Brian (owners son) who took the time to break everything down, explain to me why there was two different quotes and gave me two new quotes of the work that I wanted to have done. In that time Christine stepped out of the office into the Bay Area and let out a large cloud of smoke while walking by. Not sure if it was intentional of not. I stepped back inside and proceeded to schedule an appointment with David, who clearly still has a bit of an attitude. I place the paper on the desk and let him know "This is what I want done" he looks at me and say "What done". I proceed to say "This" while showing him the paper. He then informs me that the tires will need to be ordered which I was aware of and then says that the next available day is Monday. That just sounded like a lie because their bays where completely empty. He then informs me that I wouldn't be able to get it fixed until Monday because that's the day that Tony would be there. I asked him why do I have to wait until Tony comes Monday, and he says that it's because Tony is the only one who can do it. I almost lost it, because that was definitely a first. Your telling me that I had to wait for the owner to come because no one else there I capable? Confused is an understatement. I then proceeded to talk with Brian who not only inform me that he can order the tires but once they arrive he will give me a call and complete the work. I have a history with Midas and usually go to the Central Ave location, and if it wasn't for Brian I would have never looked back. I will return to the Silver Hill Midas but I will only deal with Brian. David & Christine definitely need to return to training if they can't breakdown prices for customers who need clarity. read more

I took my van to get my muffler repaired. They did a once over on the van before giving me an estimate. I previously got a bunch of other stuff fixed about two weeks ago on the van that was working just fine when I parked it in their lot. He gave me an estimate of things wrong with the van that they "found" and said needed to be fixed among them things that I just got repaired. I told him just fix my muffler. I'll look into the other stuff later. Pick up the van and now all of a sudden the heat isn't working because the water pump that I just replaced is supposedly leaking. I JUST REPLACED IT! He says, they didn't touch anything but the exhaust and that stuff was damaged when it got to them. If that was the case I WOULDNT HAVE HAD ANY HEAT WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO YOU! Now because these assholes tampered with my van in an attempt to get more business i have to get things repaired that I just had repaired and some more stuff too! Now I see why their parking lot is damned near empty. I should have known. Shoddy ass mechanics! read more
