I've said this before, and I'll say it again: I. Don't. Do. Attitude. Especially when I'm spending my money...lots of money. Instead of going to my usual mechanic (which, in retrospect, I should have done) decided to give this mechanic a try because my best friend and his family vouched for them; apparently they've been coming here for years. My check engine light came on and I took it in to see what was wrong. I got a call later that evening saying that it was an issue with my catalytic converter, and that it needed to be replaced. The mechanic told me it would cost $1563 for the repair. Cool. No problem. I get a call 2 days later saying that my truck is ready. Imagine my surprise when the total is now $1773 and some change. I asked where the change in price came from and the lady at the front desk very nastily told me that that was the price I was quoted. I insisted that it wasn't and started to pull up The quote which was emailed to. As I'm doing so, then she says "well he (the mechanic) had to replace the manifold." The what?! That was never mentioned to me, nor was it in the quote, and that I had no idea what a manifold was. With so much unnecessary attitude, she gets up from the desk and says "follow me", then storms down the short hallway into the workspace, stops in front of a broken part, picks it up, and says "See, manifold. It's broken" ...and then throws it back on the ground in front of me. Seriously? We get back to the desk and I hand her my payment. I tried to show her the original quote and let her know that this is the only one that I received, but she turned her back to me and said "Yeah I know about that already." I don't understand why certain businesses treat customers like we don't have a right to understand exactly what we're paying for. This woman acted as if I ruined her entire day by trying to understand what I was being charged an extra $200+ for. If it were her money she was spending, I'm certain she would want to know. The mechanic never called me, and I never received a follow-up email letting me know that there was additional work that needed to be done. I totally understand that sometimes when you fix a vehicle, you notice other things that are broken and need repair, as well. I'm fine with that, and a quick, courteous explanation would have sufficed. I didn't even need to see the part. I just wanted to know what was going on. What I'm not fine with is this business spending my money for me, by quoting me one price and then charging me another. What I'm not fine with is not being informed ahead of time that this service was going to cost more than I was originally quoted. What I'm not fine with is someone who's supposed to be the face of this business copping a nasty an attitude with me because I had the nerve in the audacity to request clarification for services that I'm paying for. After I paid, I was handed my keys but never told where my truck was. At my regular mechanic, they always have someone pull the vehicle up to the door while you're paying so that you can be on your way. At this place, I was left to wander the lot and find my truck on my own. this woman didn't even tell me where I could find my truck. I can't even call that poor customer that is no customer service at all. It's a definite no from me. read more

I've taken my vehicle to Williamson a handful of times over the last few years, and was satisfied with the work for the most part. Last month, I dropped my car off for them to align the steering wheel, and find the source of a knocking noise coming from the front undercarriage of the car. The invoice was sent and I authorized repairs. Long story short, after two additional visits and $1,600 worth of repairs, my car is making the exact same noise. I pulled out of the parking lot the after the second visit and the car was still making the weird knocking noise, plus a squealing noise from the front right wheel well. They obviously didn't bother to test drive the vehicle even though I specifically requested it. If anything, I would've appreciated an honest report saying their mechanics weren't able to properly repair the vehicle. So if your car needs an oil change or new tires, this place should be able to handle that. I absolutely do not recommend this business for anything where large components of the car have to be replaced, or if they have to investigate. Also, rated two stars instead of one star for customer service. read more

The short: they are pricey. I was able to get the parts/ labor elsewhere for half the price. I can't validate the craftsmanship thought. The heat wasn't working my my van took it to Williamson's based on the reviews. Dropped my van off and got a phone call the next day with a list of problems. They even offered to have me come back in so they can show me the parts that needed replacement. Ultimately I didn't get the work done there...couldn't afford the $2k bill. They charged me $55 to screw in a spark plug that they say was installed incorrectly?!...but I didn't mind paying it. I considered it the cost to get the diagnostics report. Brought a car in I was thinking of purchasing from a near by used car dealer. Wanted to have it inspected before making the purchase. Showed up, owner hopped in the driver seat and drove the car around listening/feeling for problems. I had my car repaired there on 3-22-13. My car was actually towed there and I was nervous to turn it over to strangers. However, Mr. Williamson called me to let me know my car arrived at his shop. He then followed up the next day with a very clear explanation about the estimate, ordering parts and when I could expect it to be ready. He also called a couple of time to let me know the status and that my car was ready to be picked up. I really appreciated the great communication from the owner himself! The staff was super-nice when I went to get my car. Mr. Williamson showed me the work they did and even had his team buff out a scratch that had nothing to do with my accident. The car had been cleaned on the inside and looked great inside and out. I am so impressed with this shop. Where do a start? On a late Friday night, I happen to run over an already deceased animal in the road. Unfortunately, my car sits low to the ground (BMW 328xi) and afterward my car made THE WORST noise ever. I called my insurance company and Williamson Auto Repair was listed as one of their referred auto body shops. I had never heard of the shop and as a person who knows NOTHING about cars, I have to admit I was hesitant. The next day, I googled the shop and found their website - it was nicely done. Points for the shop. I also noticed that they had Saturday hours. More points for the shop. They opened at 8am on Saturday and when I called at 8 on the dot, someone answered. Extremely professional - I decided to take my car in. When I got there, I was immediately greeted and assisted by the owner himself. He was extremely nice and very professional. He took care of insurance business, and rode with me in the car so that he could hear the noise for himself. When we got back to the shop, he put my car up on the thingy (again, I have no car knowledge), and instead of trying to take advantage of myself or the insurance company, he informed me that my heat shield had just been pushed up from the collision and all he had to do was pull it down with a crowbar. No insurance claim, no money exchanged. Just purely a nice gesture. He also let me know that I needed my work on my rear brakes and gave me an estimate at a good price. I didn't get the work done then, but brought the car back a week later after I had a flat tire and was also told by NTB that I needed my rear brakes repaired. Williamson Auto Shop took me on the same day I called, and even price matched a $100 off coupon that I retrieved from the BMW website. I have finally found my auto repair/body shop all in one since I refuse to take it Passport BMW for service ever again. This is a good, honest auto shop. I highly recommend it. read more

I went for a pre purchase inspection and I worked directly with Mr. Williamson. I felt like he treated me like I was one of his own. He test drove the car and stimulated some scenarios (explained as he did it and the reason why). He ran a diagnostic on the car, popped the hood, and reivewed what he saw. Also he lifted it up and told me what he was noticing. He was super thorough and helped me make an informed decision. The price he quoted me was consistent with pricing quoted at other shops.
