I have visited this shop twice to confirm my "car problems" that were reported on two separate occasions by Midas and Jiffy Lube, both of which gave me an estimated quote in excess of $1000. Both of these times, I came out of Precision Tune Auto Care with a $20ish charge for an oil change. Enough said. I'm really sick and tired of the scamming by car mechanics and to know that I'm at peace of mind when I go to this shop makes it well worth the trip to go out to Clinton to get my car serviced. As for customer service, recently, the owner's son, CJ, offered me food from the lunch he ordered for his employees (Pizza Hut) when I went in to get new brakes. Wow. What car center does THAT??!?!!! If I were to say anything negative.....it's that CJ may give "preferential" treatment to some customers. On my recent visit, a mother of a girl who came out on America's Next Top Model came to get her car serviced. Once CJ saw the model's pic in the mom's phone, he was in full gear: he chat her up like no other, opened the store door for her as she exited, opened her car door, and made 3 customers wait in line for 10 minutes while he chatted with her outside at her car. The daughter was smoking hot. YEP. Beauty goes a long way. YEP. Can't fault him for trying to score points with mum. YEP. Bah. Since he's a nice guy I'll be a bit understanding and let him get away with that one.

Had just got a new (used) car and wanted someone to check it out. To my dismay, I was told here I needed new breaks and rotors. CJ strongly encouraged I return to the dealership and demand they provide them. I really appreciated that. He said he could repair it, but that having just purchased the car this was not something he felt that I should pay his shop to do. Well, they refused so I paid out of pocket here and Yelped about the experience at the dealership. Long story short, they contacted me and offered to refund half. I quickly called CJ and asked what he thought about that. He advised me that I should demand a FULL REIMBURSEMENT from the dealership based on his observations of my vehicle. So that's what I did. And that's what I got :) Appreciated his honesty and the work done. Paul's assistance as well. Was like I got a mechanic and a lawyer rolled into one. Definitely sticking with this shop! ps. Seemed like CJ knew everyone entering the shop by name so definitely a ton of return customers here. A loyal clientele base is always a good sign.

I needed some major braking repairs done, so I started looking for a new mechanic shop. I found a lot of body shops online that I planned on visiting. Autocare Services, was the first body shop I planned on visiting. Needless to say that after visiting Autocare Services, I came away very impressed and did not visit any other mechanic shops. The mechanic Steve at Autocare Services goes out of his way for the customers. In a matter of minutes Steve was able to tell me what I needed repaired and let me know that my old body shop did not go a good job on my previous repairs. Additionally, Steve made sure that I was getting the best parts at reasonable price ( on a college student budget). The mechanic steve was a able to repair my disc break rotor (rear), disc break caliper (front) and suspension struts. The end result was an impeccably done repair. Job well done!!! (he even fixed a minor trunk problem in my car I presented to him later on at no cost). They fixed my car quickly and with quality. Their customer service was excellent and they did a great job installing my tires. They had the brand of Continental Tires I wanted at a price that was lower than the dealership by $20. Last summer I had to go to them to fix a leak I had in my tire. Due to Covid-19 procedures I had to wait in my car in the back of the shop since there wasn't any parking in the back. And they told me someone would come out and take my car in and they did. Everything took about an hour (30 minute wait and 30 minutes to repair the tire).

Although they didn't take appointments, I did not have to wait for my car to be looked at when I got to the shop. My car was assessed within 30-45 minutes. For the most part in the beginning my interaction with everyone was positive and the work that was done was completed satisfactorily. I interacted mainly with two service advisors. The first service advisor at the front desk took my information and I told him what I wanted done to my vehicle. I told him that I wanted the under carriage of my car to be assessed for any damages and to see if and how the undercover could be repaired/replaced. This advisor told me that once my car was on the lift, the mechanic would assess the vehicle for any damages to the undercarriage and would also generally look over the vehicle for any other issues at no charge. I also asked for them to call me as soon as my car was on the lift so that the mechanic could point out any damages he may come across and so I could ask the mechanic questions before anything was done to the vehicle. The advisor agreed to my request and I had a seat. Now this is where things went downhill. I was expecting the advisor to call me when my car was on the lift. However when an advisor came to notify me about the status of my vehicle, he told me that the mechanic had already lifted the vehicle, looked over the vehicle and repaired the undercover. The advisor that let me know the status of my car was not the advisor that did my initial intake. I told this second advisor that I was supposed to have been called when the car was on the lift so that I could be there to see what damages were identified prior to any repairs. This was to include the undercover. They did not even give me a quote for the repair prior to the repair and I had specific questions on certain areas on the undercarriage that I wanted to point out to the mechanic. The initial advisor was near the new advisor and did not say a word. The second advisor kept reiterating that there was no damage to the vehicle. When I got to where my car was, it was already on the ground, the second advisor told the mechanic to lift the vehicle to show me what was done. I could not see any thing underneath the cover. But I observed that there was no extensive damage to the undercover and the advisor pointed out that just a few of screws/bolts needed to be replaced. When I got back to the register I told the service advisor that I did not intend for them to do the repairs before I saw and agreed to that service. When I got to the register they gave me quotes for other recommended services and charged me for the reattaching the undercover. Rather than acknowledging the error he rudely asked if I wanted them to undo the work that was done. The initial intake advisor again was standing nearby and did not say anything. I went ahead and paid for the work. I also had to ask the mechanic for my keys. The mechanic eventually found them in passenger side of the car. My issue with the shop was its failure to follow through on my request as agreed upon and to provide good customer service until the end. This is just as important to me in ensuring trust and long term customer relationships as providing good workmanship. I will not be returning to this shop

Because I've come so often, I had no problem going alone to get my tire plugged. First, I was told it could be plugged, then it needed a patch, then the patch machine wasn't working. So, come tomorrow or get a new tire. All of this by the younger guy. I said I'd come back tomorrow and was then told the other patch machine was working. Then the hole was too big for a patch, then I needed a new tire altogether. Told them I'd let my husband bring it back and they said they close at 4. Looking here online, they close at 6. Just lying!!! Then they called the fake "manager" (probably family) on the phone to convince me. Finally, they would give me a used tire for $80. Who pays $80 for a used tire AND I've gotten used tires from them before for less? After being there for an hour, the "manager" said $70...I said fine to get out of there. However, I hope the $70 was worth it because we've spent alot more than that there and it was the last. Too many tire places, to get ripped off by one. Hope you're better to your next customer.
