We found them when we moved to Dublin back in 2012. We take all three of our cars there and continue to do so, even though we have moved farther away. It is one of those business relationships where you know you are in good hands, so you keep coming back. They are very honest, and we have never felt that they have tried to gouge us. They let us know what we need NOW and what we can put off for later. Plus, the guys are all really nice! Unless we move to another state we will continue to come to the Midas in Dublin. I came in for an oil change and unfortunately my water pump was leaking. I decided to cough up the $600 to get it fixed. When my car was returned somehow the AC compressor got damaged when they fixed my car. Now it could have been coincidence that it broke in the same time period that they were fixing my water pump, who knows. I brought my car back to them and what could have been a finger pointing game n having to haggle to over if they broke it or it was a coincidence. They decided to replace the AC compressor free of charge all in the spirit of good customer service. I must say I was extremely impressed and while I didn't like dropping $600 to fix my car (but had too), Midas has earned my loyalty as a customer. They did what was right and fixed my car at their cost. I will definitely come back and happily spend money there again. read more

Got an oil change appointment for the next day. Service was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. The waiting area has free wifi, good coffee, good selection of magazines, and a coloring book area for kids. They actually walked me out to the car to show me how my rear brakes and rotor needed replacement. I already expected this because my regular mechanic (dealer) told me 7000 miles earlier that my brakes would probably need to be replaced soon. I decided to get the brakes and rotor replaced at Midas, since my mechanic would have charged at least a hundred dollars more, and wouldn't be able to get me in for at least a few more days. Midas did the work immediately, so I only needed to wait another hour or so for my car to be ready. The other thing I really like about Midas is that if you like their page on Facebook, they'll donate a free meal to a local food bank. Just went to get the B12 service for my wife's 2011 Honda Accord and was worried I needed brakes too. The guys did the oil change, checked my air filters and Brakes. The Said I didn't brakes and air filters were good as well. The dealership and and Most other places would have hit me with all new filters and Brakes!!! I've taken all my cars here for years (regular maintenance, new tires, brakes, alignment) and am consistently satisfied with the service I get, regardless of which service rep handles my visit. I took my car in today for A1 service without an appointment (I was fine to drop it off and come back later) and it was Matt Moore that helped me out. Matt explained what the code meant, checked my tires before I left, so I knew whether or not a rotation was needed (it wasn't), and called me in 3 hours, which I was happy with considering I didn't make an appointment and wasn't in a rush. They even found the license plate light that I knew needed to be replaced even though I didn't mention it to them. I've had none of the problems that the recent Yelp reviewers complain about...ever. Without me reminding him, Matt looked in the system to see that I bought my tires from Midas and therefore would be no charge for a rotation, if it was needed. That is indicative of the good customer service that keeps me coming back to this Midas for all my car's needs. read more

Went to check about "service engine soon" warning on Nissan Altima Hybrid -2007. It was diagnosed to be a misfired cylinder due to bad ignition coil. So far so good! But the staff ripped me on pricing for parts. Iridium Plug - Part # 3439 (Midas Price $29.69, Walmart price $18.60). Midas recommended changing 4 of this ( for all 4 cylinders). ignition Coil 6734028 (Midas Price -256.99, Walmart price - $92.72) Both these parts were charged 100% more than what it was sold for in Walmart. Midas Pls Keep a reasonable price mark up than online stores . I did avail a 50$ discount for parts and labor in net cost for service. Yet, when I did the math, I did pay more than double the price for 4 spark plugs & 1 ignition coil. I am still puzzled, if they changed only one ignition coil, why did they make me change 4 spark plugs? I am not a car expert! but not satisfied with the staff's upsell of service. If you can avoid Midas, avoid this one in particular 2.8 stars. They sent my gf a suppose coupon for 100 dollars off for breaks so we took her dads car there. We totally forgot to give him the coupon and he still applied the supposed discount (which we where going to provide at the end). Thus, this discount is a gimmick... Beware this is a marketing scheme to bring you in .Then as all car shops they try to sell you extra stuff you don't need and ram it down your throat... after you told them 1000 times that you weren't interested in the same matter. We went in expecting to pay 280-290 max but we ended up paying 412.00. 140.00 for 2 hours of labor which was not mentioned. Overall I would not come back to Midas because they are not upfront with their prices. Moe needs work on his customer service but I will give them this the service completed on my gf's dad vehicle was done correctly. Fortunately my breaks where suppose to be done here on the same day, but now I'm taking my 2014 Honda Accord Sport elsewhere where they are up front and realistic about prices. No one likes to be blind sided and in particular there was no quote for such high prices mentioned; left in complete awww and shock. Quiet a bummer it's the principal of the matter not the cost. Went to get my radiator fixed they told me to get a diagnostic how can they know if there not another issue...being it was a Sunday everywhere else is closed I went with it , the said it can go towards my repair. Come an hour and a half later they are telling me about items I didn't come for and plus if I wanted the radiator fix would cost me close to $800. GTFO. I just got my car and took it to my trusted mechanic in San Jose. Got me running in no time and for only $245. Midas I wish I can give you negative stars. People got somewhere else. I'm one of those guys who holds off on oil changes until the last moment and procrastinates about it, because I don't look forward to the process. Pay some guys to take your car and lube it up while you wait for what could be more than an hour, then get hawked for parts and repairs after that. Doesn't sound very appealing, right? Well, the cynic in me was proven wrong. I came in to this specific location at about 4 on a Friday, because I had a coupon for 10$ off the normal oil change price. One of the employees caught me walking up to the front, and held the door open. Definitely a gesture that helped set a positive tone. Inside was moderately busy, one person in front of me, a few people waiting, nothing crazy. After just a few minutes, I was at the counter talking to the man there about getting an oil change, and presented my coupon. Total came out to about 30$, not bad. He told me he'd get to work and that it would be around a half hour. Pretty good estimation, especially considering how long I've heard others complain about having to wait. "Maybe getting my oil changed isn't going to suck today, after all", I'm thinking. Cynicism fading... Well, I waste some time at a place nearby (which I regretted more than immensely, as you can read in my Runzo's review) before I came back just 20 minutes later. I was ready to sit and wait in their designated sit and wait area, until I noticed they had already attended to my car. I was genuinely surprised at the speediness of their work, and impressed. I didn't catch any names of the guys working there, but they deserve a shout out from me for making my life a lot easier, and helping destroy my preconceptions. Also, there was none of the hassle you often hear about, to get a new this, or new that. The guy at the counter told me about my axel rods (which I have been wanting to have fixed for a while), and said if I wanted it done, they'd help. That's all. No pressure. Done right. Mark scammed me. SHOULD be ashamed. Went in for a transmission diagnosis, overcharged and not an actual diagnosis. A $75 diagnosis cost $150 here. Came back and he already dropped pan, tried to sell me a used transmission immediately for $2900. Quickly reduced to $2500. I said NO WAY, NOT TODAY. he urged me to move quickly, as if problem was absolutely necessary. Total BS. btw, a real diagnosis cost $75, not $150. And he charged me that plus fluid change, $384!
