I have had multiple cars serviced here with great results until today. I drove up and there was a woman in the front driveway who started harassing me with my windows rolled up. I let one of the employees know that she was harassing me and he told ME not to be so aggressive as I was simply sitting there fresh from church asking for his assistance/protection. Knowing I wasn't getting any help I called the listed number and started telling the lady who answered what happened. I just moved to Danville and this was the first place I've been to out here--and I'm so glad I found it! I originally came in just for an oil change, but ended up getting both filters replaced, new wipers, and an oil clean service. Vanessa was my technician and she was awesome--so kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything to me in a way I could actually understand (which is huge for someone like me who knows nothing about cars). Joe, the manager, was also super friendly and welcoming. Everyone on the team was great--no pressure, just honest and helpful service. I called ahead to confirm whether they could perform a transmission fluid drain and fill on my Ford Fusion Energi. I clearly stated the year, make, model, and that it's a hybrid. After checking, the person on the phone assured me they would be able to do the fluid drain and fill. However, when I arrived later that same day, the staff inspected the car and informed me they don't do transmission fluid changes on hybrids. One employee even recalled his assistant manager speaking with me earlier. While the staff were polite, it seemed more that they lacked the knowledge or training to perform the service. This points to a breakdown in communication and a need for better training--both in understanding what services they offer and how to perform them. Unfortunately, the visit ended up being a complete waste of my time. read more

I find that they consistently do that too. Took about 20 minutes for everything. I sat waiting about 3 minutes before I was acknowledged and pointed to pull behind one of the vehicles being serviced. I'm visiting from so cal and my daughter mentioned her car needed an oil change- I looked up surrounding oil change businesses and first stopped at jiffy lube not far from this location- guy seemed overwhelmed told me they only had one tech. So I looked up some more places and found this place- first impressions count- as soon as I drove up a young lady greeted me- I told her I needed an oil change- she scanned the inside of my driver's side door then a sweet gentleman gave me a few prices for full synthetic- synthetic blend and regular- I asked for synthetic blend- as I'm speaking to the gentleman the girl was already checking the air pressure on all my tires.. they also checked fluid levels and then asked me to wait in the waiting area- I found a coupon on Google search and they gladly honored it! The whole crew at the Oil Changers in San Ramon were outstanding! My car was serviced by Justin who changed the transmission fluid and did an oil change. He was informative, quick and thorough with the service. I will definitely be coming back here. No one was pushy with extra maintenance or filters which was nice as typically at other places. I definitely recommend Oil Changers in San Ramon. The waiting room is rather small in case you want to sit and work on the computer but there is a donut/coffee shop across the street where you can grab coffee and a snack or a smoothie. read more

"50 Minute or 15-Minute Oil Change?" The last time I was here, the shop was operating at peak efficiency. Today, the "15-Minute" oil change turned into a "50-Minute" oil change. There were only a few cars here. The prior patron stated he waited 1-hour for his 15-minute change. To be fair, it looks like they simply don't have enough staff to actually meet that 15-minute time. It looks to me like they're doing the best they can with the staff they have. They work hard. If you need 0W-16 or -20 oil, they only have synthetic. They will make a vigorous attempt to upgrade you to synthetic, for $30 more. When the job was done, the pleasant technician drove my car out to the parking lot for me. Minor nits: 1) My console display was left on maintenance setting, and I had to figure out how to restore the display to the normal setting. 2) Adding a "Surcharge" of $1 strikes me as petty. Just set the price, and lose the last-minute nickel and diming. Good: My out-the-door price, including $5 discount was only $48. That seems like a good deal to me. However, I would rather pay more and have the service actually completed in the advertised 15-minutes. The people here are also friendly--if not super-fast. Next time I'm giving them a tip. read more

These guys are awesome. They didn't have my diesel oil filter so I decided that I'd walk to O'Reilly's to buy one. I had hurt my leg out turkey hunting and he knew it. He ran to meet me halfway and ran back to the shop to finish the oil change in my truck. I arrived after 5 pm. There was a long line of people in queue in front of me at the open bay doors. Between each car being serviced, and my car, it was a total of 2-1/2 hours that I was there. Even though there were two bays in operation, there were only two staff on duty. I have no issue with the performed service - it was complete. But, the total time I spent there was far too long for each car being serviced, including mine. read more

Quite honestly RELIEVED after finally stumbling upon Oil Changers! After several (very bad) attempts at nearby shops I'm happy to have found an honest company with great staff. I was waiting in the back of the line at another shop for 20-minutes with no movement and found Oil Changers on a Yelp search. One customer asked where I was headed and ended up at the same shop 5 minutes later too! There was virtually no wait and I was greeted immediately by two kind staff members, one started cleaning my windshield right away. Service was fast and and didn't push anything extra. Will define coming back for my next service and would definitely recommend this shop if you're in the area. read more
