My dad has been going here to see Angel for his cars for the better part of two decades. That alone says a lot because of how wary he can be of repairmen and service providers. Angel is super reliable and honest. He doesn't upsell or try to replace parts unnecessarily. Recently we had an issue with water leaking into our car from under the dash. Angel was kind enough to run some diagnostics and wasn't able to find any issue, and did not see the issue repeat itself. Fortunately it hasn't repeated itself and all is good now. Many other mechanics I have been to would have charged hundreds of dollars for this, but Angel didn't. For the price, I think it's very reasonable and seems fair. The parking lot area is very small and crowded. I find it somewhat snug to drive my car in and out, but it's definitely manageable. Please avoid this auto shop at any cosy. Very dishonest and bad expereience. I went for alignment and they did aligned it saying it cant be adjusted. They asked for full amount. They should not have done alignment if it cant be done. He asked me 150 more to replace the camber bolts and was rude saying he will charge labour if the bolt doest fit. Again he kept my vehicle for 1 and half day although it was just 1 hour job. Next day when i went to pickup there was a chek engine to which he did not take responsibility and i was there was no check engine light before. Basically he was trying to mint more money out of me. So I made the call. then I called D&K and glad I did. the other shop quoted me about 500 more than what D&K did. I think some shops take advantage of the area and over charge. D&K does not and it's great quality service. I had to take my car back again the following weekend cause just happens my AC needed a recharge and got a great deal and quick turn around service. I brought few cars there over the past three years - 2012 Chrysler 300, 2009 Double Cab 4x4 Toyota Tacoma & 2011 Honda Accord. Angel is nice owner but him & his crew overlook common issues. Because he's open on Saturdays he often is rushed to get things done correctly. Year ago paid D&K over thousand dollars to fix 2011 Honda Accord passenger window all due to a faulty main control switch. My 2012 Chrysler 300 rear brakes & rotors were done by D&K but his staff over torqued & left wheel was wobbling so bad took to a Hayward shop since he familiar & had to have rotors, pads& rear wheel bearings all replaced which was at $1,900. I should sue D&K but he is a small business owner. Get an oil change but Don't get anything else fixed by him. read more

Went in for an oil change for my daughter's car on August 15, 2022. They proceeded to change the oil, and we immediately noticed the interior reeked of oil. There was a greasy finger print on the driver's seat, but I just cleaned it myself. The car sat parked on our driveway for a day, and then after driving it, my daughter noticed some leakage. My husband saw oil all our driveway. I looked under the hood to find they did not replace the oil filler cap, and it was left open spewing oil all over the engine compartment. The ONLY silver lining is that I discovered the cap off while checking why there was oil leaking. My daughter is currently in route to college and cannot use her AC as it reeks of oil. We called D and K and they will accept no responsibility. In fact they are trying to say it's my daughters fault for not noticing it. Would give zero stars if that was an option. read more

I have never had a bad experience here. I always go here for an oil change, never more than $20. I've taken my car here several times along with my mom's car. I call them the day of and ask for an appointment, they are ALWAYS accommodating. If I want something early, they ask me to come in now or in an hour or two, if I want something late, they offer me something late. Extremely friendly guys. Once I didn't know how to change my windshield wipers and they even gave me a short tutorial. I feel like they'd be very open to questions and such. I wanted to ask them about my tire pressure but forgot to. Oil changes usually take about 30 minutes, nothing special. You can walk to In-N-Out to grab lunch while you wait or you can walk to the Windmill Farms-Produce to do some shopping. You want an honest, inexpensive, and quick oil change? HELL NO! If you absolutely do not know anything about cars you will sit and listen to this B.S. they feed you here and believe it because you feel they are cheap in their prices. Cheap is not good. Kobe is a complete A-hole. I took my car here for years mostly for oil changes which they had a reasonable price, BUT I found out that they were putting in the wrong oil which screwed my car up in the long run. They always can take your business here, because they do not get a lot of business. Kobe the owner is arrogant, rude and has the worst customer service. They charged me twice for a $400 parts and labor for something that was under warranty for a year and when I caught it the second time that I paid for the same thing within 9 months after checking my receipts he had the audacity to get mad at me and say tough crap? Zero comp nothing not even a sorry so I let that go, (stupid mistake). Then I recently had an issue with my car and he popped off at me, after I was on the phone with a a friend who is familiar with cars and told me what was wrong with my car and told me what to ask the mechanic, Kobe was furious and turned on me by yelling and being rude, which he had the nerve after to say he was not a mechanic and then started playing games and considering he had to call someone on the phone to see what the problem could possibly be, since he didn't know. It was not brain science, but he lacks in brain if you try having a conversation with him you will see this. I went elsewhere and they fixed it, showed me what they fixed and it was very reasonable in price. The new mechanic said right off the bat after looking at my car what it could possibly be (just like what my friend said it could be). If you notice no cars at D&K that's because they do not know what they are doing. The new place I went to was full in and out of the garage and the customers waiting next to me had nothing but good things to say. I was visiting San Ramon and realized that I was really in need an oil change. I checked YELP and found D & K was nearby and rated 4 stars, so I gave them a try. I called and they fit me almost immediately. They changed the oil, topped off the fluids and inspected my car in less than 30 minutes. The best part is that it cost me $21.95! I was really impressed with these guys; they're really sharp. They're mechanics, not just oil changers. I will definitely use them in the future for services and maintenance. read more

I spoke with the owner over the phone and scheduled an appointment for an oil change. I was going out of town so my wife took our car there the next day. She arrived 10 minutes early for the appointment, but the owner seemed irritated about that and reminded her in a rude tone of voice that she will have to wait 40 minutes. My wife reluctantly waited even though we had made an appointment. She presented a $15.95 Synthetic Blend oil change coupon to the owner. This coupon was directly from D&K. The owner refused to honor that price and charged her $25 claiming that our 2005 Acura TSX (sedan) "takes extra oil" (so he must charge extra). This was a blatant lie. I've owned this car for 5 years. It doesn't take "extra oil". Acura recommends 4.2 quarts of oil for this vehicle. D&K coupon advertised up to 4.5 quarts of synthetic blend oil. Even with tax, this oil change should have been $17.30. The extra money isn't an issue. The dishonesty is what we take issue with. D&K has lost incalculable future business from us due to that. read more

Recently got new tires put from a random tire shop and they tightened up the lug nuts so tight you couldn't get them off. I went to numerous body shops and they refused to simply Loosen the lug nuts for me so I can take the tires off and change my own brakes. I finally ran into D and K service and met angel. He was friendly and willing to help without hesitation. He was reasonable and didn't charge me for such a simple task. This the type of service you want from a mechanic. My review is about customer service, I've only had my oil changed here a couple of times because he has good prices when it come to life jobs. But one sat I showed up after 12, about 1 when they should have been closed and I thought I need my oil changed sooooo bad and I haven't had a chance to make it with work schedule and taking care of the kids, so I roll in and after waiting for ago 3 or 4 min before being "greated" I plead my case to the owner and let him know I'm a return customer and it would only take 15min. He insisted I return another day without so much as a heartfelt I'm sorry but I can't. He just turned around and left. So on my part I know I could have come in earlier and salvaged this relationship but customer service mean everything thing to.me.and I'm willing to pay a little more for that so I won't be returning. read more
