I had an accident where I stepped on my legion go s screen and it shattered. I didn't expect it to break the entire screen, but only crack a portion of the screen. The fragility of the screen is significantly worse than I thought. I talked with several other tech repair shops and either they did not answer my request for a quote, took way too long to answer or gave a response that they could do nothing about handheld repairs, some gave bad replies. He was the best of 8 different tech repair shops I have encountered and not only the best, it was a landslide better than the competition. The only real issue I had was a very high price premium to fix my device. It was about half of what the actual device cost. Of course I got it on sale for about 700$. The service, labor and total cost to repair was $335. So, almost half of what I paid for the device at Best Buy. I learned not to place this fragile handheld on the ground to prevent it from getting damaged again. Overall satisfied with the outcome and Dory did fix it. Personality was good and time to fix was roughly 2 hours. Parking lot structure is terrible, not enough space and many other places nearby. There are other parking structures as well but it may get towed or even scratched due to compact spaces. Also a little unsafe as there are some loitering. Overall, It's good but not the greatest in terms of value but Dory been doing this for many years roughly 15 as I recall.

I came into this shop first thing in the morning and had an amazing experience. The tech cleaned out my entire PC, installed a new coolant fan, replaced my thermal paste, and even redid all my wiring. He finished everything in about an hour, was super efficient, and clearly knows what he's doing. The total was only about $125, including the new part he provided, which is such a great deal. On top of that, he was really friendly and I had a nice chat with him while he worked. My PC is running better than ever now. Highly recommend!

A few hours later my keyboard and trackpad started glitching. Panic mode. I jumped on Yelp because I didn't have time to roll the dice at the Apple Genius Bar and potentially lose a full day. I needed my laptop for school work that was due the next day. That's when I found Joseph. Calling him a computer repair guy feels disrespectful. He's more like a laptop surgeon! We sat down and he thoroughly inspected everything, explained exactly what liquid damage does internally, and broke it down in a way that even a non-tech person like me could understand. He used simple analogies to explain why certain components fail after spills, which honestly made the whole situation feel less overwhelming. Because I was on a tight deadline, he moved fast. He replaced the top case so I could get up and running immediately. We're calling that "Phase 1" -- basically a strategic band-aid so I could meet my deadline. I'll be going back next week for a deeper repair and full internal assessment once I have more time. What impressed me most: * Clear communication * Honest recommendations (no upselling) * Quick turnaround * Confidence without ego And yes -- he operates out of his home garage. Don't let that throw you off. It's basically a science lab in there. I was genuinely impressed by the level of equipment and Apple parts he had. It felt more like a specialized workshop than a random garage setup. I live on the Westside of LA and made the drive and I'd absolutely do it again. When you find someone competent and trustworthy, distance doesn't matter. If you're dealing with liquid damage, keyboard issues, or any MacBook emergency, Joseph is the real deal. Professional, smart, efficient, and genuinely cares about getting you back up and running. Highly recommend.

I just wanted to share the results: As you can see in the photo, my new display was labeled as a "genuine Apple part." DO NOT BUY A COMPUTER FROM PC GENERATION…read more I helped my son purchase a custom built $5,500 computer from Louis and his store PC Generation. I placed the order on 6/5/25. AS OF 8/10/25 WE HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED OUR COMPUTER AND AS OF 7/30/25 HE HAS NOT COMMUNICATED WITH US OR RETURNED ANY TEXT messages, calls , voicemails. After we placed our computer order on 6/5/25 the communication was very very poor and he would not communicate unless we reached out. Most of the time it took days to respond. Constantly giving excuses as to why he has not fulfilled my order. First excuse he gave me on 6/24/25 sorry I was on a short vacation 2nd excuse he gave on 6/25/25 "Hello, sorry for the late message. Got caught with the flu. I've recieved most of the parts and will still building it soon". Exact quote I copied and pasted 3rd excuse here gave on 7/16/25 "Hi ***, I just had an issue with the graphics card but Im hoping to have everything resolved and ready for pick up this weekend" Then ignored messages on 7/19/25, and 7/24/25. Then at this point he convinces us to upgrade to a higher video card which we agree. Then on 7/25 says this "I will let you know. I have to visit my distributor in person for these cards tomorrow morning. I'm also picking up parts so it works out. I will keep you updated" Then ignores messages on 7/28/25, 7/29/25. He finally responds later on 7/29/25 and says "Also, I apologize as I did arrive late last weekend in an effort to get the 5090 as it was a birthday weekend so I did not have much time" At this point he says my business number is having troubles so contact my cell number. So mind you this is almost 2 months later and I'm thinking maybe this guy is super busy and really backed up with work. At which I have a phone conversation with him and say many times hey it's ok just communicate with us and answer messages and we will understand. So now I have his real cell phone number I'm thinking I'll really get somewhere with my order. 7/29/25 I text his real cell number and ask him for an update. I ask him how long will it take to get the upgraded computer part ( video card ). He has believing at this point the computer is already built and ready to go waiting for video card. He responds to my message on 7/29/25 by saying "Thank you. I go to Tustin every weekend for parts for computer builds so hopefully this Saturday" THIS IS THE LAST I HEARD FROM LOUIS ON 7/29/25 HE IGNORES MY MESSAGES ON 8/1/25 8/2/25 8/4/25 8/5/25 8/6/25 8/7/25 8/8/25 After a week of being ignored my patience has run out. I hope anyone reading this will make use of my review and do not do business with PC Generation. I was more than patient with him and I believed all his excuses he gave me. My son had just turned 21 and was working his first job and this was his first big purchase of his life . He was so excited and happy to get his new computer to be scammed by Louis and his company
