WARNING. Do NOT use gift cards when purchasing at Michael's. Their system took the money from my gift card I used but didn't actually put it towards my purchase. All my funds that I was putting towards setting up my classroom. Gone. When I pulled up proof online that Michael's took the money all they offered was to void and re-ring the transaction, and with what money they thought I would use I am not sure since, again, I had just shown proof Michael's took the money from my card. Immediately upon leaving I called the company for the card and they said if I hadn't seen the money go back right away after the void from Michael's I now get to wait at least 8 days to see if your system actually does send it back before I can do anything else. "Was NOTHING offered to you?" You might be asking yourself and NO! In fact all I was told repeatedly during this was I was pre-approved for and offered their Michael's credit card. I'm not joking. They offered to fix my issue by signing me up for their credit card. Needless to say I'm very thankful I only stopped into this location on a whim and live far enough away I won't have to return. I was kind of surprised that this location wasn't any bigger on the inside than it is, because from the outside and from visits to other Michaels I kind of expected it to be massive, but it was not so much. It was also messy, but that I did expect as the ladies who go in here for their crafting supplies are just ruthless when they go through their store. Definitely try to avoid standing between a 66 year old grandmother and the yarn or you're likely to get a knitting needle in the chest! They did have what we were looking for, and of course things we were not looking for but that the old lady just had to have as usual. But the traffic throughout the area is pretty tough to maneuver through, so it's unlikely this will be our go to Michaels. read more

Well they just lost a customer for life.... My wife placed an online order for pick up of two items.... I get there to find out that only one item is there. I ask the lady at the from this is supposed to be two frames she comments back " I don't know what's going on with this I'll get you a manager" in a rude tone. Her name was Jackie. Jackie when you screw up someone's order your generally supposed to apologize and be polite. When the manager arrives she tells me that their system screws up sometimes and makes you pick up the other item from a different store which is what happened here. No apology no discount just oh yeah our system is terrible and now you get to waste your time and gas driving across the city to get your item. I get home to find that the frame from this store is cracked. Unbelievable. Needless to say I'll never step foot in your store again. Happy to go to your competitor hobby lobby. read more

This is my local Michaels. Everyone is always friendly to me and I gotta love the order online pickup in store. I think they have a pretty big selection of things and if they don't have what I want there's a Hobby Lobby right down the street but I've rarely had that problem. I do love the order online/pickup in store though, much quicker and as I have fibro and can't always walk around to my heart's content really helps me get my project stuff so I can use my spoons on actually doing the project. read more

I would have given at least a 4 star rating, however the dirty card that they handed me while waiting in line instantly lowered the star rating of this experience. Upon walking into the store, there was a Michael's employee who asked if I needed help finding anything. I told her what I was looking for and she pointed me in the right direction. Great service! There were a lot of people shopping, which made it difficult to maneuver through the store. Finally found the check out line and it was so long! The line was wrapped around and almost backed into the wall. Within a few minutes of waiting in the line, another Michael's employee came and scanned my items and handed me a checkout card. The card was visibly dirty and grimy and I was stuck holding this card for the entire time I was in line. I am guessing the card was to reduce the handling of your items by the checkout person, however I did not see where these cards were being sanitized. From the look and feel of the card, it was obvious that it hadn't been cleaned for a while. It also seemed as if these check out cards were just being reused over and over again, so where is the cleanliness when the Michael's employees are touching them along with multiple different customers??? Also, they have a sign when you get up to the register that says they want EXACT CHANGE ONLY. I understand that there was a change shortage, however this is the only store I have been to after the change shortage (which was during the summer) that has asked for exact change. Seemed a little strange to me. The sign being posted in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS can be perceived as if the writer of the sign is yelling. Not cool to be yelling at customers, Michael's. Will probably not be returning to this store! read more

Today I shopped at Hobby Lobby's Mesa, Signal Butte, store for years. In the past when I have had issues with pricing, which is often due to signage & multiple prices on same product, management has always been fair. However today I was there & spending about $200. I needed shirts & some of them had the price of 3.99 & some 4.27. When the manager came to the register her reasoning in not charging me the 3.99 price for all the EXACT SAME shirts was that prices were being raised. I was only getting some shirts for the lower price. It doesn't take a genius to know that that is not great customer service. Then when I told her that I didn't want them she said most people are happy that they get SOME of them for the lower price. I truly find that hard to believe. Nobody likes being taken advantage of. I left the items with the cashier, Drove a mile down the road to the new Michael's, and not only did they honor the 3.99 price that you wouldn't, they gave me 30% off! Today you lost a valued customer and they gained one! THANK YOU TO THE EXTREMELY KIND MANAGER & CASHIER FOR GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!! read more

I needed to purchase some vinyl for my Cricut machine today. The price at this Michael's was $29.99. I checked JoAnn's app and the same product was on sale for $12.99! When I asked for a price match, the clerk said, "We don't price match." I responded, "Since when? I was in last week and YOU price matched something for me." She then looked at her manager who came reluctantly to approve the adjustment. I showed her JoAnn's app and the manager said, "I need to see the date." I said it was on their app and asked if she wanted me to close and reopen the app to prove it was current and she said, "Yes." Michaels.com states very clearly their price match policy and even mentions JoAnn's specifically as a competitor they will price match PLUS an additional 10%. I then tried to redeem a $5.00 voucher earned on my Michael's app from frequent purchases, which is basically the same as cash, and the manager said I couldn't use it because of the price match. If I would have had more time, I would have picked up an additional $5.00 worth of merchandise and redeemed the voucher in a separate transaction, which would have cost them even more money. I will be shopping at the Power and Ray Michael's from here on out. They are extremely friendly and accommodating with price matches. Not sure what is going on at the Signal Butte location besides DISHONESTY AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Beyond dissatisfied will never shop here again. My parents bought a Circuit as a Christmas gift, took it home and wrapped it. On Christmas it was opened only to be an empty box. Took it back to the store and Natalie looked at the barcode said you didn't buy that here and accused them of try to still. I walked over to the display and showed her other empty boxes. We asked to speak to someone else and she said they were indisposed. Asked if she could look at surveillance to see we did purchase it there and she said that wasn't her job or problem. After hours on the phone with corporate over 2 days finally got the refund. Had to take the empty box back and Grace was wonderful and apologetic. I have never been treated so rude and to see my parents treated like that and being accused instead of helping was awful. I don't write bad reviews but I think people should know if they choose to do business here check everything and do not deal with Natalie! read more
