I bought a controller here and when I got home I opened it and it worked like garbage. I bought it thinking I could return a nearly unusable product but nope. The worker there very rudely told me I could not get my SIXTY DOLLARS back and there's nothing he could do. Honestly I've never had a good experience at GameStop. We tried to buy an oculus last night at GameStop instead of giving money to Walmart. My husband and son checked the closing time through google and it said 8pm. They showed up at 6:55. The guys rudely said they close at 7 and was an overall jerk to them as they tried to spend $300 at this business. Would have loved to be able to spend there instead of Walmart but the jerk working there made it clear he wouldn't help. He said they were out. My son would have ordered through them or arranged to pick up at another time but the guy was such a dick that they just left and bought across the street. read more

A warning to woman entering this store alone. My girlfriend felt extremely uncomfortable communicating and interacting with the employee that was working at 12pm 4/26/2024. She went in to buy a gift for me and when the employee asked for her ID to purchase a game he scoffs and says "ohh it's just that you're too young" now granted she is 24 and able to purchase rated M games. Confused, my girlfriend buys the game and leaves later to realize he meant she was too young FOR HIM. Please stay clear of this unprofessional GameStop as they clearly exhibit inappropriate behavior. read more

Stopped in right at opening looking for some trading cards. Was met with the utmost disrespect from Tylee. I simply and kindly asked if she had any specific Pokémon cards in stock. She yelled back at me NO WE DONT HAVE ANY OF THOSE AND NO ONE WILL. I kindly again said it showed online you had some in stock so I was just checking. She was the absolute most RUDE person I have ever met. Then while I was browsing for not even more than 2 minutes the phone rang and she literally said ahhh then picked it up. The customer must have asked if they sell games because she said in the most derogatory tone "ya we sell games our name is Game stop." At this point I was on the phone with my husband and he could hear her yelling at the customer. Whoever is the manager over this store I would highly recommend removing Tylee. She is horribly rude. I would not go back to this location even if it was the last game stop ever. read more

I've been going to this GameStop for the last nine years now, and now in 2021 the selection of employees has gotten worse. Anytime I ask about the sales they have, they lie and beat around the bush. For example, I asked them if the $10 shirts and this one bag I found were part of the same buy one get one sale. The lady told me, "Well, you could think of it that way if you look at the original price of the shirt". This was her long winded way of saying "No". Even if it was part of the same sale, her math was way off. Anytime I purchase a game, they automatically put the warranty without asking me first (or they try to act like a sleazy car salesman and ask right after they have added it to my purchases). Recently, I came to pickup a preorder and the person behind the counter automatically added the warranty. I told him nicely that I had already payed for everything I wanted several weeks ago. He continued to push the warranty and exaggerated about how there are a high number of cases of Switch games being eaten by dogs. He then tried to ask me if I had a dog and I told him I just want my game I payed for. I'm hoping a different GameStop location will be more professional than this one. Or I'll just not purchase from this company anymore. read more

Store occupancy is 5 which I personally believe is an awful policy. Luckily it's only a store policy not a company policy, so you can just drive up the road to the next one. I'm not standing in the cold to wait for people and their children to browse the store. Most of the time I don't care but the employees aren't even paying attention to the signage on the door. You work there my guy, you should know what is posted. If it was truly a COVID related thing there would be sanitization measures once people rotate out... but there are none in place. So I'm not clear on the point. read more

If a game has been opened and the disc handled it is not new. Imagine GameStop opened your can of soda and said "No one drank from it, it's new. Pay the new price." This is what happened just 10 minutes ago at this GameStop. When I said I wasn't going to buy a used disc at new price the dude was immediately curt and short with me. How are you going to try to rip me off and be rude on top of it. Uh, no sir. GameStop is a fun little experience because you don't see a lot of them these days with all of them shutting down. However, you have to watch them like a hawk or they'll find a scummy way to rip you off. read more

Alex the store leader provided excellent customer service today. He assisted me and my daughter with a trade-in and a purchase of a new console. The transaction was easy and he very knowledgeable. Worst experience ever. We were trying to order an item online but the "item wasn't in stock" so we decided to call this store. Guy was super rude. Said that they had the item but we needed to order it online. I explained to him again that we tried but the system wouldn't let us order it. He then says "well, I don't know what to tell you. I have orders to pack." Then hung up on me. Good job, you've lost a loyal customer after this experience. I won't be shopping at ANY GameStop ever again.. read more

I mean it's GameStop lol. When you go in it's good they treat you good the only thing I would say is that they do not answer their phone. I've called 5 times and they didn't answer. I know they aren't crazy busy where they can't answer the phone I was just there about 15 minutes ago. read more

Great experience. After driving around town trying to find what I need, Derrick showed me a different option of attachable controller equipment that I wanted, but didn't know existed. I'm very happy that all my troubles lead me to that store and that he was the one who answered the phone. Everyone in that store was extremely helpful and kind. Good service and quick. Not hard on upsell like others. GameStop is a chain but each is quite different in regard to customer service... The one in Ahwatukee always was a pain to go into - but these guys are always nice. Always say "HI" when you walk in and are quick to help and provide information. Location is good for me and I've pre-ordered my last 3 games with them, still waiting on one (nov) and I'll continue to utilize this location over others for sure. :) read more

We did a trade it the manager was unprofessional and tried to tell us they were closed but it was 550pm they close at 6pm. When mangement is rude and unprofessional it makes the whkle company look bad. She purposely did not give the correct value or the games. We will never return to this location! read more

This is by far the best GameStop yet. It's a bit out of the way to get here but worth the drive. The staff is very knowledgeable and not afraid to tell you what's what about a game. Unlike most salespeople they are not pushy and won't talk you into buying a game you don't want. It's always been a pleasure coming here over the last couple years because no matter who is working and no matter how busy they are the staff is always super friendly. Can't wait to go back and get my next game. Wish the closer GameStop's would learn a thing or two from here and save me the drive. Thanks for being awesome GameStop. read more

Amazing customer service! I preordered batman arkham knight and I was supposed to pick it up within the first 48 hours. I was out of town that day and I called store. I asked them if I could pick it up the next day and they said yes. I got it the next day and the employee was super nice. I'll be there in the future! read more

The staff here are AMAZING!! I had purchased a pre-owned PS3 cause I still have games I like to play and my old PS3 finally started to go out. The first guy I talked to (Joseph) explained how the pre-owned systems work and got me set up. He was way cool and I had a great experience with him. Unfortunately the system was damaged so I brought it back and had another AMAZING experience!! Caitlin returned it no problems, apologized for the hassle and let me open the pre-owed PS3s to inspect and pick the replacement. These guys take customer service to the next level! I want to get back into gaming just so I have an excuse to come back, haha! read more
