Super kind service at first Being an inexperienced 14yr old I brought an item in to get a wire soldered. They said they could do it and when I got it, it was messy and weak. I took it home and when I assembled my model , it turned out one of the components was damaged (near the wires that were soldered) It cost $50 for a new one and they said that they weren't at fault and turned me down. I will get straight to the point. The hobby is dying, and some of the guys here are not doing it a favor. They always sound in a rush and annoyed. Hey bud, if you don't like your job THEN LEAVE. Everytime i have gone in there even with my pregnant wife I feel uncomfortable. And i see the way other customers are treated. Customer service is garbage but for 1 guy making it worth the trip. The value and pricing of parts should be lower due to the weak a** customer service. I am not the first nor the last to have this issue. Let's keep the hobby alive! No reason to kill it with salty a** people. This is as far as I go out of respect to the owner. But do not expect a friendly experience with RC's here. read more

The number one thing in my son's Christmas list this year was an R/C car. At nine, I felt he was ready for an entry-level "hobby grade" car. I paid Superstition Hobbies a visit, and was not disappointed in their selection of cars, parts, and accessories. Sean helped me in my initial visit, and made a couple of recommendations. I came back the next day after doing some research, and I was greeted by Jeremy, who was just as helpful and enthusiastic about helping me find the right car. I ordered an Arrma Grom from them and it literally took two weeks to move through 6 states! They sat on the order for a week before even shipping it, and when I emailed them and wanted to find out why, all I heard was crickets. Received a defective Capra and they would not take it back. Had to get help from Horizon Hobby who got them to take it back. Sent it personally to the owner Mike and he still has not acknowledged the return or sent a refund, or responded in any way. Very disappointing company and will never use again and neither should anyone else! I have pictures of all emails and tracking numbers to prove it if anyone needs to see them. read more

I go there for parts for my stampede rc truck. They have not steered me wrong. They have a variety of other rc cars and planes.

Great shop, four separate rooms. Boats, planes, off-road cars, parts, repair. There's sometimes even a track set up in the last room. Huge open fields all round for dirting and flying. Very knowledgeable staff, happy to help beginners understand. Edit: The back room is now a huge vertical crawler playground "track" and it looks awesome. They even do vinyl and signs now. read more

Just had super cool Experience at superstition hobby. My son took his broken part in and they found the parts he needed. They tried explaining how to put it together and he looked like a deer in the headlight. He said "could we just do it here?" So Tyler pulled him over to the work desk and walked him thru each step. The two employees (younger) that seem to be there at all times don't acknowledge anyone and also do not appear to have any knowledge of the products nor care to do anything but be a cashier. By far single-handedly the worst experience I ever had as a first time customer. Wasn't even greeted at the door at all a bunch of lazy bastards sitting in chairs doing nothing at all customer service worthy. Out of the two people in the store I finally get acknowledged and the salesman is just plain rude! short answers when asked for suggestions more attitude zero customer service! did not make me feel welcome as a paying customer. Didn't treat me half as well as the customer before me who didn't buy anything either! maybe that's the trend these days and it's sad. This country doesn't need any more assholes. read more

The staff immediately asked if we needed help within a minute of arrival and they are very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a great experience here. My dad got an RC boat. Alan even customized a battery for my dad on the spot so the battery connector would work with the Deans configuration on his RC boat. We came back a second time for extra parts. Thanks Mike! We went into Superstition Hobbies for the first time today and we were very impressed. My husband was looking for replacement tires and battery for an old RC car. We had been into the hobby over 25 years ago so we were a little out of touch with the current technology. Jeremy helped us and spent a lot of time with us going over batteries and chargers and showing us all the latest cars available. He was very knowledgeable and was familiar with our old cars and accessories and was able to help us make the right choices to get our cars running again without having to spend a lot of money since we're just wanting to see if RC cars are something we'd like to get back into. We've been to other hobby stores before but they usually aren't very friendly and are very clickish. There's normally some young kid behind the counter who has no knowledge of the older technology or even wants to help us. We will definitely be coming back to Superstition Hobbies and might even get back into the hobby because of them. Everyone was very friendly, greeting us as we walked in and thanking us for coming in as we left, you don't get that very often anymore. read more

The car model was soon new, there are no replacement parts yet available for this particular model. This is by far the best hobby shop in town. Great customer service considering I'm not always the easiest person to deal with. I'm high strung and always cutting people off in the middle of conversations but these poor guys put up with all my BS if you know what I mean. They always stock many models even during this COVID time when product is hard to come by. They have a rock crawler track in the back of the store that you can use to practice your crawler skills and how different rock crawlers stack up. GREAT Hobby shop. Probably the best in all of town. Small but straight to the point. They will most likely have what you're looking for. Got my corsair 1.2m horizon hobby from here. What I like about this store more specifically is that the packages they have are unopened or at the very least are not just lying around as I've seen characteristic of other shops. Spent $1300 with them on a brand new Traxxas Truck with batteries. Truck had a couple issues after a few days including one of the batteries having a charging issue. Even with the store sales guy saying at checkout they have a 30 day no questions asked warranty from them, I took it back with the issues and they would only help cover one of the issue's (steering servo). I had to beg to have them help get it covered under their warranty they say they had. Worst experience ever. I found a great store closer to me called Alliance RC that was willing to help me further correct the issues including selling me a new battery. read more

I highly recommend this place Alan and Mike are awesome! If you have a helicopter that you need build Alan is a wizard on hiding the wires! Mike is awesome and will work with you on pricing! They are a dealer for HD helicopters and they have a 500 size and 750 that's coming out at the end of the year that is awesome full Carbon fiber canopy, tail boom, skids you name it & is just awesome & sexy! I'm a Goblin lover but if I sold my heli's I would go with the HD in a heartbeat! SWHR fun fly's is one of the best times of the year in AZ and superstition puts that on every year and it's epic.
