I lost a dpn needle when traveling and was able to drop in here for an exact chiagooo replacement. The yarn selection is wide and the owner is knowledgable. The prices are on par with the hobby and you can definitely find materials for cheap projects (acrylic) up to luxury yarns like alpaca.

The owner was there with some women and they were talking and knitting together. When I asked for help finding the right yarn, she helped me immediately. Sometimes I just enjoy wandering for an hour over lunch to see what's new and say hi to the staff. I wish they stayed open later on Saturdays and maybe had limited hours on Sundays because now that Joannes has closed, it's hard to grab things in a pinch. A request for a business card and/or product information resulted in a pink flyer with glaring typos and a phone number written in Sharpie. I don't need fancy, but I do need competence and engagement, and I felt like I got neither. It's unlikely I'd return to this shop, when I can easily obtain more detailed info on the manufacturers' websites.
