I'm not exaggerating when I say at least 90% of my wardrobe comes from here. It is where I go to buy outfits for everything: dates, work, travel, my own baby shower :) Every visit feels like someone with good taste went through the racks first. One of my favorite things is that the store is organized by color. Consignment shops can feel overwhelming and disorganized, but here it's easy to browse and actually find what you're looking for. Even better are the people. Emily and Claire have gotten to know my style over the years and pull things they know I'll love. When I ask for an honest opinion, I get one, and it's always genuine. I've been bringing my son in since he was a baby, and he loves it there too :) They remember him, ask about him, and make him feel welcome. After all this time they feel less like store employees and more like friends I get to visit with when I go in. Going to Poor Little Rich Girl is something I genuinely look forward to, never a chore. I'm so glad this store exists and as much as I would like to keep it a secret...you should go!

I was a little bummed but went to Whicker Goddess instead and purchased an adorable vintage silk dress. The next time I attempted to go, I purposely chose on a Saturday at 12:00 noon to make sure it would be open. When I entered I was the only one patron. As I opened the door I didn't see any workers or other shoppers and walked further into the. Two workers were talking in the back and made their way out from the back. One said a quiet hello. The other worker didn't acknowledge me or stop talking to the 2nd worker. I casually looked at the clothing racks but didn't see anything I needed but they do have some cute clothes. I did however purchase a plastic vintage green looking oil bottle. It was $39 marked down from $65. When I paid they both did thank me for stopping in. I honestly liked the vibe better at the Whicker Goddess and another boutique several doors down and the shop purveyors at both those locations were so sweet and engaging. But if I go back to the little plaza again I would go into Vida Moulin again, as it is a cute boutique. I liked the decor and home items there more than the clothing choices.

Neither one looked up and greeted me, and as I looked around in the store, they kept talking to each other and not once asked if I needed something. I have worked in retail before, and rule #1 is you greet the customer. I'd understand if they were busy but I was literally the only customer in the store. After taking a look around at their overpriced (and if I'm being honest, mostly tacky) clothes, I decided to leave. Didn't even get a "goodbye" or "thanks for coming in". Nothing. I have been coming to this store for years and never had an experience like this- everyone working there was always so friendly. Just found out that the owner, Victoria, sold this store in the fall. That explains a lot. There are loads of cute boutiques in this area where the employees are actually friendly and the clothese are really cute. I will take my business there.

We went in looking specifically for postcards, but unfortunately, they didn't have any. That said, Frances was absolutely adorable! They had handmade items from all over the world, cute cards, and all kinds of unique things to browse. It just wasn't quite what I was looking for on this particular trip. As I was getting ready to leave, though, I happened to notice a vending machine tucked away in the corner for Strange Collective AZ. I had seen something similar on reels when we were in San Francisco, but I could never find one in person, so I was immediately excited! Of course, there was one problem--I had left my roll of quarters at the house. So we had to leave, go get the quarters, and come back. Clearly, this vending machine had already become a mission. When we returned, we discovered that you could purchase astrology cards, temporary tattoos, stickers, and mystery items from the vending machine. The mystery items were only 50 cents, while the other items were just $1, making this such a fun and inexpensive way to get a little piece of local art. I ended up getting a sticker and a mystery item, and I got two stickers that were about as opposite from each other as you could possibly get--but both were completely unique and fun. I loved that this was such an unexpected little discovery. It was a fun way to support artists, find something different, and take home a unique souvenir without spending much money. I would definitely go back to Frances and spend more time actually shopping because there were so many cute things to look at. But let's be honest--the vending machine is what drew me in and ended up being the highlight of our stop!

It also happens to be where my wife and I had our first date! The Biltmore Fashion Park is known for some great restaurants. While there are some upscale and casual restaurants there, my favorites include Seasons 52 or True Food for a good meal and Frost a Gelato Shoppe for dessert. I really enjoy having several Fox restaurants at the Biltmore. There are also many other restaurants in the area. Several of the restaurants have great happy hours, too. I miss the Crepe Club though several other restaurants have opened since then. There are also plenty of shops from upscale shops to more casual ones like Lululemon and Sakes 5th Avenue. There are fancy clothing stores that my wife may enjoy though I typically enjoy the nice courtyard or seating outside some of the stores while she shops. Then, we grab a bite somewhere together. I miss the Apple Store and Sharper Image but look forward to what is opened next. There are also experiences from the Sip & Stroll (where you can enjoy a beverage from one of six restaurants and then walk around), meet-up with the Phoenix Run Club, the Art Walk, the Swiftie Liftie Outdoor Workout Class, or one of a number of galas or special events.
