After purchasing a necklace that was just over $1000 from Kara the clasp broke about 30 days later…read more The clasp itself was hard to use because it was so small. I returned to store asked if they would replace the broken clasp with a claw clasp instead. They said would replace for a $200 up charge. I refused to pay that amount and said would just take to another jeweler. They then said would do for $100. I again was not agreeing to pay for a replacement clasp on a $1000+ necklace I just purchased from them. They said would replace with the same one for free but not upgrade. After some further conversation they agreed to replace for free with claw clasp. Upon my return the informed me that they would no longer be doing business with me or my wife. On other occasion we need just a landing ring for a clasp put in necklace and they wanted $70. We went to Micheals purchased a pack of 20 for $4. and fixed ourself. Kara Jewelry is a very unprofessional organization and over charges for there services. They give very poor customer service and do not value customers. I would highly discourage anyone from using this place of business.

The lady was extremely polite but could not evaluate it because a certain piece of equipment was not available and she said the Avondale store could evaluate it. She made an appointment for me. It was for 1:30 PM. My wife and I drove the 14 miles and arrived at 1:27. We were told to take a seat behind one woman being served and two other people seated. I told her we had a 1:30 appointment and she said the others were ahead of us; not with appointments, walk ins. I questioned again about the appointment time and she said she would get too us in order of the others. She was polite and said this was the way things are done at E. D. Marshall. Frustrated we took seats, waited 25 minutes then finally left and went to another buyer. It was a totally wrong way to handle customers. If you ever watched Seinfeld, when he didn't get his reserved car, he said to the clerk, "You know how to take the reservation. You just don't know how to keep the reservation." 28 miles round trip to find appointments mean nothing at E. D. Marshall.

They said they have to ship it to a repair center and it would take 4 to 6 weeks. Seriously? For a battery? I understand they don't want to damage my watch but why doesn't each store have a local shop that can do it because I purchased a battery warranty?
