We have purchased many items @ LG (Bell location)for years. We traded up a band (previously purchased @ LG) on an anniversary ring 5/2014. We looked at several rings and were getting ready to make our decision, when my husband and I were shown a beautiful "estate" ring. We did not pick it out, it was brought over to us at the display case we were sitting at. I fell in love. We purchased it and not sure how much time past, but I lost a diamond. We had it repaired by LG at a price, as it was not covered since it was an estate piece and estate pieces are not covered (we weren't aware of that) Our ring was basically worthless the moment we purchased the ring. I lost another diamond and went back to LG to see if we could trade it in and was told that we give us a minimal money towards it, as they would have to replace the diamond (Really?!) . We were not happy with that, especially since we have been a repeat customer and have spent thousands at this LG location. I was told that diamonds and gold depreciate like a brand new car. I left with my ring. I would have to pay to get the diamond replaced a 2nd time. I decided to take it to another jeweler that charged 1/2 the price as LG to replace the diamond, diamond was replaced. A few months later I lost another diamond and took it to a jeweler that specializes in "floating diamond settings". We were told that floating diamond settings are no longer made, not many jewelers know how to fix them as the settings are complicated and since they are very delicate and diamonds are lost often and they don't really sell those type of settings any longer. Floating settings are also costly to repair as the diamonds sit on top of each other. If you lose a diamond you have to replace immediately, not wear it as other diamonds will start to fall out without the missing diamond to hold the other diamonds in place. I had the diamond replaced for the 3rd time and of course within weeks lost another diamond. This ring has cost me over 1k plus to fix over and over. I rarely wore the ring since purchasing because I was constantly losing diamonds, take it to get it repaired, wait weeks for the repair, get it back and then lose another diamond. I put it in a drawer for years. On 8/15/25 (Yes, it's been10 years, but I have had not worn the ring and have been torn as to what to do with it). Do I keep replacing diamonds, keep in a drawer or sell. I decided to go back to LG to see if they would just purchase the ring back from me. I was told that they would not as the "estate" ring was not available for trade up or buy back. I feel that the ring was flawed from the start and was sold to me knowing this in order to get rid of it. They made their money and I purchased a ring that I could never really wear and cost me so much more to fix. I asked the salesmen if he could recommend another jeweler that would possibly purchase the ring and he said "drive around to jewelers and ask". He was not very welcoming from the moment I walked in and would not even offer any suggestions as what to do. London Gold is NOT the best!! I was a repeat customer who spent thousands of dollars there. Customers are not valued and I would not recommend them to anyone, ever! read more

Zero stars for sure. I walk in with my boyfriend, no greeting from any of the 4 employees on the floor. We came in to get the details of an engagement ring and see what I might like and don't like, try on for my sizing, pricing etc, for whenever my boyfriend comes in on his own time. Mind you, we knew nothing about the process so we expected them to sit with us to have that consultation. We walk in and I'm looking around glass cases of engagement rings and we talk to Mary Jo about how long we've dated and what I am looking for etc. She soon thereafter dismisses me and becomes very short and snappy once I disclosed we aren't buying today and are looking for information. Immediately her demeanor changed, she wasn't willing to help. It was so obvious she was just looking for a sale out of us. I will not be coming back and I've told everyone I know about the rude customer experience I've experienced here. Moments like engagement are meant to be a joyful experience and Mary Jo just made the moment a terrible one that I'll remember forever. We went to Shane Co a few days after and had an experience that blew this one OUT of the water! I had 2 stones that I wanted to have set in a ring. I had been thinking about doing this for a few years and finally made the decision in late September to have them done. So, having had 3 very good experiences at London Gold, that's where I went. I spoke to Mary Jo. She patiently listened while I explained what I wanted but she could tell I wasn't sure about what I wanted. She suggested a pinky ring which had never even entered my thoughts. She brought out a book that had some designs in it and I picked one out. Somehow, she knew exactly what I wanted even though I didn't! I stopped in because I lost one of the backings to my diamond earrings. I expressed my concern that the place I had been to before this wanted $64 for a secure 14 karat gold backing. Mary Jo, the clerk, said this wasn't necessary as no one sees it. She gave me three different styles of complimentary, very secure, backs for my earring. I learned a lesson when purchasing jewelry. Last year, I bought a pair of diamond earrings from a department store. The stones were nice, but when we ran into an issue with the mounts and returned to the store for a solution we were met with indifference and no assistance. In steps London Gold. I've bought jewelry here in the past and it has always been high quality. When we took the earrings in and asked for repairs they were more than happy to assist. Mary Jo, who I've worked with almost exclusively over the years, had the issue corrected quickly (and didn't even give me the raised eyebrow for buying department store jewelry). I went to London Gold on Bell Road yesterday to get estimates on some of my gold and silver jewelry that I don't wear anymore, especially the wedding rings they made for me 30 years ago. I sat there for 20 minutes waiting for the man who does the estimates. He was busy telling a woman stories and jokes. They both laughed a lot through story after story. His hands weren't moving so he wasn't handling or examining anything. I even caught his eye a couple of times but he just kept ignoring me. After sitting there for 20 minutes on this little stool while he told stories and jokes, my back was hurting too much from injuries I had from when I was a passenger in a car that went over a cliff so I got up and left. I remember being 7 and coming with my dad here to pick out a ring for my mom. I think I probably love that ring more than my mom because it was a very special memory for me. As my wedding was approaching I remembered that moment and decided to check out London Gold. I came in late August with my mom (I can't believe it's taken me this long to write this) thinking I would use a family heirloom as a wedding band. I had never really been into rings (or so I thought) and felt like the two options I had with me would be fine. We were immediately greeted by Mary Jo, she gave me great advice on why the two rings I was looking at wouldn't work (one wouldn't stand up over time as it was too worn to make use of the diamonds in it). She also helped me understand why the recycled metal rings I had considered online cost more and often aren't better in the long run. She built up trust to the point I completely switched what I thought I wanted. She helped me pick out a beautiful gold and diamond ring (I didn't have an engagement ring so I was looking for an interesting band with diamonds). My wedding was soon approaching and she made sure to get the ring sized and back to me before the big day. We had even discussed how the band would look with two more rose gold diamond bands flanking it to draw attention to the middle band. After the wedding I kept thinking about those two bands and decided to upgrade. I am so glad I did. When I want to be low key I just wear the middle band or even just with one band. When I want to get fancy I wear all three. I get so many genuine compliments and I feel like my ring is uniquely me. They also offer free cleanings on your jewelry which I have already taken advantage of. In addition to wedding jewelry they also had a beautiful selection of other jewelry. I have to agree with Sandra F's comment. I just left this store and will never, ever go back. Not intentionally, but I also parked my luxury car where they could not see it. I asked for some repairs on my wedding ring and a couple of other small pieces. The woman helping me promptly turned her nose up at the small pieces, which are not super expensive but are special to me for sentimental reasons. She then took my wedding ring and band to talk to the wizard in the back and returned to treat me as if I were either too poor to be there or a suspected criminal. I intended to find a local jeweler for some repairs and then, if I had a positive experience, purchase a couple of nice pieces. Forget that. read more

My husband needed his wedding band cut off immediately so he can get surgery on that finger. Mary Jo answered the phone, said that they could do it without destroying the ring and she was waiting for him when he came in the store. It was quick (and painless, given the trauma to the finger!) and he's ready for surgery. They didn't charge him for the service; they said they wouldn't take advantage of his misfortune!! I have to say that this place provides decent customer service after they've sized you up and you are ready to purchase. Yes, I actually got the impression that if you walk in like you don't have money to spend you won't be taken seriously. Once their attitudes thawed, I was asked by one of the gentlemen there where I parked my vehicle because he didn't see my car. I purposely parked my luxury car by the adjacent hotel where they couldn't see it and came dressed in my normal jeans and flip flops. Very rude! We came in no one actually acknowledged us other than being buzzed in. One lady was behind a back counter/ desk just standing there. One man was in the center area just standing there as we approached he walked away from us! This happened a couple of times, another lady walked out from the back looking right through us and went to talk to the lady who was at the back counter! We waited 20 minutes and no one acknowledged us until we Tried leaving and then one of the ladies says did you need help with something?! The staff was extremely rude after they damaged my piece. I brought in the piece that I found in a storage shed and asked him if he could authenticate it because it had a 14-karat stamp on it not knowing if it was real or not I asked him please don't damage it because if it's not real my wife is going to use it and if you have to damage it it's fine I'll just rather not do it he ignored what I said took it in the back room and brought it out chips scratched and cut to shreds when I ask why he did that he said he had to do it to authenticate it with a very bad attitude I told her but why then did you ask medicated when I told you I didn't care I would rather not find out and just Leave the Pieces alone so that I can give it back to my wife so she could do whatever she wanted with Ben for the small monetary value that it might have been worth he acted like I was in the wrong for him damaging my property very rude they arrogant I wouldn't recommend anyone go there unless they want their items and personal property to be damaged and then be treated like it was your fault that they broke your stuff read more

Donna listen to me patiently as I had a difficult design in mind. She helped me find the ring of my dreams. The ring was a unique design and we decided to have a custom wedding bands made. As I confused the associates along with myself trying to find a way to make bands that would go with the engagement ring, the jeweler Steve came out from the back and gave me 100% of his attention. I bounced some ideas off of him and he told me what work and what would look good. Steve made me feel assured that I would get wedding bands that would look amazing. I bought the gold and soon after leaving I felt I had been taken advantage of, so I checked prices elsewhere and realized I should have done research before paying their extortionate fees.
