I cannot even begin to say how wonderful the people a V Jewelers are. Six years ago I moved to this area from Iowa. In the move I thought I lost my wedding ring. My husband had passed away a little while before, and I had lost a lot of weight following his death, so my ring was in a little jewelry pouch waiting to be sized. I emailed them to see the cost to resize a ring from a 6 to a 7. I was responded with 40 to a hundred dollars. I thought that was a great deal. When I went there. I was told they are backed up because of Christmas? I'm not sure what Christmas has to do with repairs. I was told 250.00 if I want it done soon other wise 150.00. Needless to say I'm smart enough to know when I'm being ripped off. And they never bothered to tell me if I take the ring back were I bought it that they would do it for free. Eddie has the absolute best customer service! I went in to have a ring repaired and he told me I could have it Monday. When I told him I was leaving on Monday to go back to California he said they would make sure it was done by Saturday!! They have replaced stones in a custom ring and have done new rhodium plating on both of my rings. I recently brought my Movado watch in for a new battery. I was told that the existing battery in my watch was a cheap one and that it leaked and damaged the watch. I was then told that it would be "at least" $150 to repair my watch. Not knowing what to do, I left with my watch and thought about what to do. I brought it to New England Clock Shop for a second opinion. They opened it up on the spot and found no internal damage, replaced the battery, and charged me $5. Watch works fine now. My experience with V Jewelers was a shady one, will never go back, will never recommend the place. I am a believer in supporting small business...but really disappointed in this one. read more
