I had a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience at this office and feel it's important to share for the sake of patient awareness. I didn't even get to see the doctor because the office staff are so unprofessional and don't have any clue what HIPPA is. I am going to write a formal complaint to HHS but thought it's important to share here as well. During my visit, I was asked highly sensitive medical questions (including details about my Pap smear results) at the front desk, in full earshot of other patients. When I expressed that this was inappropriate and made me uncomfortable, the staff continued asking these questions. It did not stop there. When I was brought in for vitals, the area was open with no real privacy, and I was again asked personal medical questions while other individuals were nearby and could easily hear. I clearly stated that I was not comfortable discussing this information in front of others, yet the questioning continued. Regardless of intent, discussing private health information in public or semi-public areas especially after a patient objects shows a serious lack of regard for patient dignity and confidentiality. I strongly encourage this office to review its privacy practices and ensure that patients are given a safe, private environment to discuss sensitive health information. Patients deserve to feel respected and protected, especially in a medical setting. read more

I don't recommend any black person to go to this doctor, he is very cold and sees you as money. As a registered Nurse I can tell this guy might harvest my uterus. He mentioned hysterectomy due to my fibroids,. knowing that there are many treatment options including noninvasive procedure, so why even mention hysterectomy as an option ,Is this why he went for this practice to destroy women . At age 40 , I did my egg freezing and 35 eggs were extracted in one cycle and this man knows. I had to ask him have you seen my Amh my fertility count, Knowing am still on my child bearing age, with a recent AMH lab of 2.60 very high for fertility count for a woman in her early 40 but this man wants to make a black woman infertile, no wonder he didn't go over my labs and just ate my money and insurance. When I mentioned about getting the fibroids treated so I can build my family, he said you don't have to justify the reason. Yes I do that's why am coming to you for treatment . I almost told him you might as well remove your own prostate or his family members uterus, he said am a nurse I can do my research or choose not to do a treatment , so why am I coming to you then , I thought he was the specialist, not the nurse this foreign dr is a racist . He didn't even show up on the first appointment, that was the first red flag,He had to remind of my age, and am like and, what does that had to do with me with the fibroids getting treated or he doesn't like the fact that a black woman is still fertile With no other medical history such as diabetes, hypertension cholesterol issues. Stay away from this this doctor , he is disgusting and mind you all my recent hormone labs were normal and he still wants to harvest my uterus. I had to request for the labs to be checked, you would think he would do so As a doctor he will, automatidally order them, common sense. Even though am a-nurse off course he still thinks am dump because am black. Guys empower yourself with education, education is protection, to prevent medical horror. Dr Tahery and his team are by far the best professionals I've even been with! 2 successfully deliveries and managed both very well despite me being high risk for both. C-sections went very well. Postpartum and Perimenopause care is unmatched. I appreciated how he did a hormone test postpartum to ensure my levels were back to normal. Testosterone levels were very low and he did an outpatient surgery onsite for the testosterone pellet- felt effortless with zero issues. The entire team is so friendly and accommodating. I've been Dr Tahery's patient for over 7 years. He's delivered 2 of my children. Most recently a few days ago. My first delivery resulted in an emergency cesarean and I couldn't have been in better hands. I've been driving over 30 miles to continue seeing Dr Tahery for the most recent pregnancy. The staff is all very supportive. Yes, the wait to see Dr Tahery can be long at times , so just prepare for that. But there's a good reason why he has so many patients. They use AI to record the conversation you have (for SOAP note and etc) without your consent. I am sure it's a felony in California. I requested medical record from this office. Came to find out my medical record was wrong. When I asked them they told me oh the doctor was using AI for the conversation which I asked if they asked for my consent. I mean I am talking about my vagina and my sex life. I think a stupid person would know that is a very confidential conversation. Then I had to pay $25 for my own medical record. Then I had to asked them to correct the medical record cz on my medical record stated that I was pregnant once and had one kid. I was like where is the kid then?! and this doctor signed on it! any way, be careful. Make sure he is not recording you. Apparently insurance money already won the heart of this doctor. all he cares is forcing you to do an ultrasound even if you keep repeatedly saying you don't want to. I FEEL SO VIOLATED I CAN NOT EVEN EXPLAIN. Well doc...don't bite more than you can chew. One patient at a time is good thing, you can write your note down by hand. read more

TLDR: I'm writing so others don't get scammed. This place will overcharge you for tests you don't need. Please BEWARE & save yourself the headache. Please read the negative reviews before making your appointment. You can find them here AND on Google. They're all similar. While Dr. Tahery may be a capable doctor (I'm not positive since I only saw them once), this clinic ran multiple tests that weren't necessary and unnecessarily charged to just read me results (a total of 2 minutes on the phone). Even though I informed them I already had those results from another clinic. Luckily, I was able to change to a more capable and fair provider who doesn't overcharge. However, I'd like to give women a heads up so they can find better options! read more
