Dr Welebir is amazing. I had my first patient appt with him after seeing numerous OBs that never really explained much of anything to me. To start off, I have social anxiety & im often not able to explain or elaborate as eloquently as I'd like. My mind often goes blank when speaking to someone. As such, I very often leave appointments regretting how much I 'didn't' say bc I was too focused on breathing normal and not getting nervous. Because of this, a lot of doctors don't think I'm in excruciating pain, or it's not as severe since I'm not begging for help or showing much of any emotion. But trust me, my pain is excruciating..... I just struggle to explain it or show emotion to strangers. During my appt he asked all my symptoms.. I didn't get to fully emphasize the debilitating cramps / pain I experience every month (due to my inability to communicate eloquently). But that didn't matter with Dr welebir because All I had to say was "yes I feel pain" for him to take me serious without me having to over explain myself. For that, I'm very thankful. Since I do struggle to explain my symptoms and what I feel; I rarely leave appointments feeling confident that a doctor understood or believes me.. but today I did, even without over explaining myself. On top of that, I can't even begin to explain how detailed he is with explaining various symptoms & the full break down that other doctors fail to do. I've had okay experiences with other gynecologists in the past, but always felt like they didn't take my concerns or questions that seriously. However, when I felt like things were slightly abnormal, Dr. Welebir was thorough in the questions he asked and the tests he performed to help me figure out the root cause of my problem. I was referred to Dr Welebir for a gynecology consultation in Jan 2024 and have stayed on as his patient. Dr Welebir goes above and beyond to make patients feel supported and heard. From answering all of my questions to giving step by step explanations on procedures to working with my pharmacy for getting affordable prescriptions, I'm always struck by his and his staff's empathy and commitment. For example, I left an item an appointment without realizing it. His staff held it for me for 3 months and gave it back to me at my next appointment! Another example: I started getting really stressed out during a procedure and Dr Welebir immediately picked up on it. He and his nurse stopped the procedure, took the time to reassure me and ask how they could make me more comfortable, and made sure I was ok before proceeding. Dr. Welebir is like a breath of fresh air. Although going to the doctor is not everyone's favorite past time, he makes it enjoyable and informative. The office is clean and his staff is really kind (this is not the norm in healthcare these days, since it feels like everyone is just a number). It's always easy to get an appointment and the office will send you reminders when your appointment is coming up. Ok, let's get to the man, the myth, the legend. Dr. Welebir himself. He's got a very calm and cool demeanor about him. His aura is top notch. You can tell he cares and ensures that you feel seen and heard and comfortable during your visit. He answers questions with kindness, and validates any concerns. I've had several diagnostic procedures with him, and each time it has been a professional experience. I appreciate that before the procedure we talk and discuss any issues that I may have (instead of during the procedure, when I'm thinking about how my legs aren't shaved and I need a pedicure STAT, or what I'm going to cook for dinner ha ha ha). During the procedure he will explain what he is doing and what feelings and sensations to anticipate, which helps with my anxiety and forces me to focus on my breathing or meditate. Morgan Welebir has been my Dr for a few years now, and I have recommended him to all my friends and family because he is the very best at what he does. He takes his time with his clients, often going above and beyond to make sure he explains options in each scenario. She calls me after each and every appointment to give results--almost unheard of in today's heath care protocol.
