I honestly can't recommend this office enough , they've been incredible from start to finish. I chose Dr. Rogers because of all the amazing reviews I saw, and she completely lived up to them. From my very first call, Althea was so kind, hands-on, and communicative. She made sure I got all my appointments set up with Dr Roger's and that everything ran smoothly. When my delivery came a little earlier than expected, Dr. Rogers didn't just stick to the standard 6 week checkup , she created a 2-4-6 week followup plan to make sure I was recovering well and feeling good. She also gave me great recommendations for classes, therapists, and other resources, and referrals which really showed how much she cares about her patients beyond just the medical side. If you're looking for a super hands on OB and a team that truly goes on the journey with you and makes sure you're okay every step of the way, Dr. Rogers and her office are amazing. read more

I am speechless. I have never had an experience like this at a doctor's office. The care I received by Dr Rodgers and the entire staff honestly made me emotional. This is what medical care should be like. Walking in, I thought I accidentally walked into the wrong place. It looks nothing like a dr's office, more like a fancy spa. No fluorescent lighting, no dull lifeless furniture, no staleness. It's gorgeous! Even better, I was greeted by the sweetest receptionist. I often feel like I need to prep myself for battle when going into appointments. I get so worried I am going to be met with annoyance, won't be truly listened to or taken seriously, be rushed, or not be given the right care. My guard was up but it quickly melted away after checking in. After filling out some paperwork I was taken to the lounge (aka waiting room). I was still so confused how this mini paradise could be a doctor's office. There is also an outdoor lounge that is equally serene but it was a bit too cold to be out there. I sipped on some tea and kicked back on a comfy chair as I waited to be called in. After just a few moments, the nurse came in to ask if I needed anything else. I almost couldn't comprehend what has happening. Someone at a doctor's office was actually genuinely tending to me? After a few more minutes, I was called into a room. Again, so clean, modern, and beautiful. The nurse asked me some questions and listened to my answers thoroughly, even shared her empathy. For once, I didn't feel rushed. I told her how unusual this experience was so far and she laughed and said this is how it should be. She is so right. Then it was time to meet Dr Rodgers. Wow what a doctor! So personable, knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Again, listened to everything I had to say and gave me answers, explanations, and a plan. On my way to the next room, the nurse even offered to carry my stuff. What?! I know it doesn't sound like much but these little acts of kindness really mean a lot. Dr Rogers was able to examine me and assured me of my health right on the spot. No waiting to make other appointments to get tests done- they have it all here! The office is on Melrose so parking of course isn't the greatest. But I found metered parking pretty quickly and they also have valet in the back. Going to see a doctor, especially an OBGYN, can be such an anxiety filled experience- but not here. If you are looking for an OBGYN, I'm telling you, this is it. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Rogers. I've been her patient for about six years, and she has consistently gone above and beyond. A couple of years ago, I needed a biopsy on a lump in my breast. I was anxious, but Dr. Rogers was supportive and kind throughout the process. When the results came in late on a Friday, after her workday was already over, she personally called me so I wouldn't have to spend the entire weekend worrying. She also guided me through the birth of my now one-year-old daughter. When my delivery didn't go as planned, Dr. Rogers remained calm, reassuring, and attentive, making sure both my baby and I were well cared for during the entire hospital stay. Over the years, I've always felt that my health (and my baby's health throughout my pregnancy and delivery) were in the best possible hands with her. When I initially stopped by Dr. Rogers, it was 2022 and she was located in the Burbank office. She is now on Melrose. Dr. Rogers is very caring and she is very knowledgeable. I was looking for a black OB/GYN which is very rare and even more rare in the Valley. So, I was content with how she spoke with me and took care of me. She makes great conversation and wants to help with all of your needs. I stopped by the new Melrose location and it is truly beautiful. Their lounge area is very zen. You have options of water, tea, snacks, a private cubicle and it's really nice. I had two issues. My first issue was when I first came to the office last year in Burbank. The past receptionist was trying to charge me a copay. I assured her I have no copay. She then confirmed with the doctor that I had no copay she was trying to charge. Perfect. When I am in the room for my exam, Dr. Rogers asked me if I wanted an additional test and I said yes because I thought it was free. All my other doctors did the test and it was normally free. I never ever ever received a bill to see the OB/GYN. I received a bill from the lab and the doctor of about $130 total. Granted I have HSA but it didn't make sense to me that I had to pay when I never paid for any additional Tests. Dr. Rogers said she will call me regarding my results. It did not matter if they were good or bad, she would call me for the results. Needless to say, I never received a call *which of course is good news* but then I called one day and spoke with Dr. Rogers and she mentioned she was short staffed and that's why I Never heard back. However, if I receive a bill then yes, I would like to know my results before I pay anything. My second issue was my second annual visit this past September. I know what I heard and I know what I did not receive nor have received the proof of said email. I called for my appointment because ZocDoc didn't allow me to do it on their site. I am still under the impression that they were still in Burbank because I was never informed of the new address. I never received the email confirmation that they said they sent me. I arrived a whole hour early because someone told me a certain time for an hour earlier. I get there and the receptionist didn't tell me I was an hour early. So, there were 2 other patients who came after me but I had to wait an extra hour because of their miscommunication. I had to wait for the other 2 patients to be done because they came at the right time and I was an hour early. Dr. Rogers claimed I received an email of all the information but I still have not received the proof that I did because I know I did not. I would never go to my appointment an hour early especially living in the valley to go to Melrose. I like to be where I need to be righhhhhtttt on time, not a minute and definitely not an hour early. I do like Dr. Rogers though and again I do like that she is a black OB/GYN and she is very welcoming. You can ask her any questions. She makes GREAT conversations, we spoke about us both going to the Beyonce concert. The new office is stunning. There's metered street parking or you can find neighborhood parking but be mindful of the signs and times you can park. read more

Do not go here! This sucks to write because she's one of the few female doctors in my network. But I came to Dr. Rogers 3 different times complaining about serious vaginal pain. Dr. Rogers told me I was fine and I had zero cysts. She said I probably just have BV. I really pushed that I think I had endometriosis and she informed me she saw no signs and all she could do is put me on birth control if I had that. After I saw her for the 3rd time concerned, two weeks later I ended up in the emergency room because 2 cysts on my ovaries had ruptured. And I had another one that remained (Aka 3 large endometrioma cysts that she had missed). She should have referred me to someone else if she didn't specialize in that and taken my pain seriously. Months later I've had 3 surgery's and I've been diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis from a different doctor. Also months later Dr. Roger's is currently trying to bill me for looking at me for 10 minutes and telling me nothing was wrong aka basically malpractice. I also paid a co- pay so that doesn't make any sense. If you have any real concern about something going on with your body do not go here. read more

Truly the best! Dr Rogers is absolutely amazing especially in this day and age. As a fellow physician who's been in practice for many decades I know great care when I see it and I can tell you that I was so very impressed when I accompanied my daughter today to see Dr Roger's for a prenatal ultrasound. I am so amazed at how attentive and truly caring Dr Rogers' was. I was impressed by Dr Rogers' knowledge and her commitment to going over all of the issues she needed to address and then taking the time to answer all of my daughters questions and then provided additional information and answered my questions , as did her amazing staff. I know from my decades practicing medicine in a related field that physicians like Dr Rogers are rare, especially now when so many doctors work in large groups or have been bought out by big chains, hospitals or insurance companies. if you are lucky enough to have her as your doctor, know you have one of the best. read more

We had a pretty awful experience with her and I don't think she is a very professional doctor. At one checkup she came in complaining about a previous patient who was having a hard time emotionally. These people are on here reviewing Dr. Rogers as their practitioner, but I am curious how they would be reviewed as patients....but to each his own. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Rational or not.**** BUT I'm not here to focus on that, I'm here to tell you that Dr. Rogers is AN AMAZING OB-GYN (for me). I work for a surgeon, and I completely understand how important bedside manner is from a patient's perspective AND from a healthcare employee perspective. My feminine health is very important to me and I can immediately sense when I am not in the best care. My senses told me that I was in great care with Dr. Rogers. Anytime I call with an issue, if I don't hear from her the same day, I definitely hear from her the next day. I've never waited more than 24 hours to hear back. Her front desk staff (Erika) always returns my call, responds to my voicemails or responds to my emails the same day. I have never waited longer than 15 minutes to see Dr. Rogers at her office. I have even been squeezed into her schedule on short notice before I always feel very seen and heard by her. I know that I am safe and in good hands. She is very gentle and caring. I haven't seen an obgyn since before the pandemic. This was just fine with me as these appointments are generally uncomfortable at best. However, Dr. Rogers office is soothing with a very relaxed vibe. After checking in I was brought to the lounge. I was the only one in there and 90s R&B was playing over the sound system. I waited 5-10 minutes before the nurse practitioner came and got me. She was very kind & gentle in demeanor. She weighed me and asked me a few questions about why I was visiting. Then Dr. Rogers came in. The NP was there the entire time as well. Dr. Rogers was so kind and encouraging. I'm in my 40s and generally when doctors talk to me about having children it is so negative. However, Dr. Rogers was so delightful in her mannerisms and when performing all of the necessary exams. I am so happy I found a Black Obgyn who is also kind, compassionate and reassuring. I went in for a small in office procedure and had to wait literally over 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The doctor only has one staff and if they are working or answering the phone they are unable to receive filled in paperwork, answer questions or provide updates on how much longer you have to wait past your scheduled appointment time. The procedure itself was supposed to be fairly painless with the use of localized anesthetic, but she started the procedure only after using 10 of 30 cc's of localized anesthetic which meant i felt fucking everything and it was extraordinarily painful like I had a cramp in my foot from clenching my toes. I asked her to stop and was like traumatized and she was so dismissive of my pain like I was overreacting. Ok lady you try pouring some silver nitrate on your most sensitive region and you let me know how that goes with only 10 cc's of anesthetic and we'll see who was over reacting. This is coming from a woman who has gone through 72 hours of labor and dilated to 7 cm at home with no pain relief. So I would say I have a decent tolerance for pain. It was a traumatic and horrifying experience. My husband who had been waiting asked how it went and I couldn't even speak I just started crying after it was over. Afterwards when I asked about copayment they said they would deal with insurance and I thought it was over until they sent a bill in the mail. This doctor doesn't have any online payment options so you have to either send in your credit card information over the phone or mail a check over at your expense. Would never recommend. Two stars bc despite the pain of the procedure and obnoxious payment I believe it addressed my issue. read more

Dr. Rogers scheduled a hysteroscopy for my wife in 2022. Other than detecting a few polyps there were apparently no other problems. My wife continued to complain about excessive bleeding and pain, and was told it was only recurring infections. In 2023 my wife had a complete hysterectomy and endometrial cancer cells were found in her cervix and fallopian tubes. The surgeon recommended immediate chemo and radiation treatment; however, after specific research and seeking treatment at City of Hope Upland, it was clear that six infusions of Pembrolizumab (i.e. Keytruda) was the approved treatment. My question: why didn't this condition show up in the hysteroscopy and why did Dr. Rogers keep insisting it was only UTI's? I am currently researching this issue. read more

A couple years ago I went to Dr. Rogers for two reasons: one was to have an understanding female doctor, the other was to get an expert opinion on the symptoms I was experiencing with my irregular periods. Dr. Rogers placed me on birth control that had wildly bad side effects right off the bat. The day before I ended up in the ER, I called Dr. Rogers and her head nurse up, asking for assistance, hoping to get an ultrasound to see what was wrong because I was in extreme pain. They both declared that it was my fault that I was having the symptoms because I had more than likely been taking the birth control wrong (I assure you, I was not and was following their directions perfectly). After that ER visit I never saw Dr. Rogers again, found a better OBGYN, and after undergoing endoscopic surgery was officially diagnosed with having endometriosis. Please do yourselves a favor, especially those who may have underlying conditions, and find another doctor to see. It will save you a lot of time and money by finding another person who actually cares. read more

I waited a few months to write this review because i wanted time to think about what I wanted to say. this is such a personal issue that i wish i didn't have to share online but i want people to know about my experience. Long story short I went in for routine testing. first, she got frustrated because i asked her to examine a specific area after she had finished her exam and she was mad she had to get new gloves (which she still had on so I didn't realize she would need a new pair) and gave me a lot of attitude. after she looks she goes "that's just how your skin looks. i don't know what you think your vagina looks like but it's not a flower." i mean really? then she adds, "you spend a lot of time looking at your vagina." I was so shocked that I was still cordial as I was leaving because i didn't even know what to say. I won't be coming back. This is my 4th or 5th time seeing Dr. Rogers and I've never had a problem but this was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I had an appointment scheduled for early march and called in February to cancel because I never want to come back here. I got a call two days before my appointment asking me to confirm. I guess they don't check their messages because this isn't the first time they haven't called me back after leaving a voicemail (during regular business hours) It's unfortunate I thought I had found a great gynecologist. all the reviews are gleaming and I initially had a 5 star review written and I'm so saddened to have to share this. Also let me clarify, there's a difference between her being upfront and honest and straight up unprofessional and rude. sorry if it seemed my question was stupid to her (didn't think it was but maybe to her it came across as dumb? i don't know) but as a medical professional, she should welcome all questions. read more

After having had the worst experience with a previous OB in this town, I found Dr. Rogers on Yelp and my visit with her this week was outstanding. She was very friendly, took her time to talk to me, paid attention to my needs, concerns and questions was also very gentle and detailed about the entire procedure. Very very professional. We love Dr. Rogers! I started seeing her when I was eight weeks pregnant. I'm a first time mom and had a few minor scares with my pregnancy, and she was always there to thoroughly address the issues in a calm and reassuring manor. She always returned calls to the after hours line right away. She has an ultrasound machine in the office, so it was great to be able to see our little guy at every prenatal visit. I wanted an all natural vaginal delivery, but ended up needing a c-section due to my baby being breech. Dr. Rogers helped to calm my fears about the operation, and everything could not have gone more smoothly during the procedure. First and foremost the doctor is wonderful. She delivered my first baby and I'm back again for her to deliver my second baby! She takes the time to answer questions and is very attentive to your needs and concerns during the pregnancy process. Those who complain about parking, it's 2018 and 85% of medical offices charge for parking... this isn't a new concept. This review is two years and thousands of dollars in the making. I went in for a routine pap and check in as my husband and I were planning on starting a family. Dr. Rogers ended up finding uterine fibroids and told me that my future childbearing would be dependent on how big they were and recommended I have tests. I did so and waited and waited, long past the recommended wait period for the results to be in, I received no call. I called her office many times until finally I received a call from the Doctor. She was annoyed that I had called her office so much. Over the phone, while I was standing in a parking lot, she told me bluntly that I had mass, that she didn't recommend I have children and that I would have to have her perform a hysterectomy ASAP. My world collapsed. My husband and I, in our grief managed to find the UCLA fibroid treatment center. But in order to have them treat me, I needed my medical records. Dr. Rogers office would not release them to me nor send them to my new doctor (I'm pretty sure this is illegal). They ignored my calls, I had to physically go to their office twice and only on my second visit when I refused to leave without my records did they give them to me after I paid a fee. I found out later when I wanted to complain that she is not part of Providence and merely rents space in the office. When I looked at my records, to my shock, I discovered that she had reported the mass on the wrong side of my body!! I found an amazing Doctor at the Fibroid center who operated on me successfully. They were wonderful, sympathetic and very confident. I kept my uterus and I credit him with so much. I can not recommend enough UCLA if you have fibroids. I wish I would have gone there in the beginning. My one visit to Dr. Rogers office has given me PTSD and I am currently in therapy trying to heal from the event. I write this because this experience turned one of the most exciting times of my life on its head and filled me with unnecessary heartache and trauma. Doctors should heal and not cause pain. I want other women to know what happened with her and to please seek a second opinion if this happens to them. read more

My experience was very similar to Paige E.'s Dr. Rogers herself is knowledgeable, but her staff and office of organization is enough below par for me to not go back and make sure that folks that I know don't go through the same thing. Some examples of my experiences below: 1. they used the wrong medical code for a procedure at the end of last year. Before they found the error they made me feel like i was unable to read my summary statements and understand them on my own. 2. the amount of time that it takes to get in an out is a little extreme and parking is expensive. 3. Trying to resolve your bills is a nightmare. It took me several weeks just to pay a bill, because they didn't want to look up the information that was provided to them. (I had reached out to my insurance company and got the information that they said was delivered to the office and was available to Dr. Rogers staff. I understand that folks make mistakes - but don't put it back on your clients, especially if they are putting in extra time to PAY YOU. read more

Absolutely THEE worst doctor I've EVER been to. Save yourself the money and time and find someone who actually cares about your needs as an individual, and someone who actually has the education pertaining to women's reproductive health. It honestly blows me away that this woman still has a practice after reading some of the other reviews on here... Bit of back story: I was in the ER after experiencing extreme abdominal pain for three days straight, found nothing, got an ultrasound two days later that indicated several developing cysts + one rather large rupture, then proceeded to make an appointment with Rogers for the following week. I've never been aware of my ovarian cysts (or "follicles") until the one was so big that it ruptured. I've never had a painful period in my life. I've never experienced such intense pain from anything until this incident occurred. There were even times I thought I was going to pass out at work from the pain I was enduring; all the while taking copious amounts of ibprohen/motrin/midol/ etc. NOTHING stopped the pain. This pain lasted for a week and 3 days until I had my appointment. Immediately upon entering the room; Rogers had an attitude towards me and my situation, was rude, and belittled me when I asked basic questions. After she spoke to me like I'm an idiot about things I already knew about from my other doctors, (aka women forming cysts as part of their reproductive cycle) she told me the only way to make it stop is to have me stop ovulating all together by using birth control. Not wanting to take BC for personal reasons ( I was on multiple forms of BC for 8 years with a magnitude of HORRIBLE side effects) I asked her what some other options could be, and what might be causing this to occur all of a sudden. After all, I know plenty of women who don't take BC and who have happy/healthy cycles. Nothing that causes them to go to the ER, or creates intense pain for weeks to the point where they can't work. I asked her exactly these questions: What makes some women grow larger cysts than others? Why am I experiencing this now after 3 years of being off birth control? Is it because I was on birth control? Is it my genetics or age causing this? And can my diet and exercise affect the size of cysts? Her answers were cold and simple: "All women grow cysts, you're just going to have to deal with it." AND OF COURSE MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE - "I don't know, maybe." I nearly lost it. Though kept my composure.. BUT SERIOUSLY??? What do you mean you DON'T KNOW?!? Isn't it YOUR JOB to know what affects my reproductive health and how I can improve it? THAT'S. WHY. I'M. PAYING. YOU. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE A SPECIALIST. If anyone should know the answers to these questions - it's an OB. The attitude I received from Rogers when I asked those questions just backs up her absolute ignorance in what she practices on a daily basis. Her only job is writing prescriptions for something she knows nothing about. Based off of the other reviews I've read: If Rogers is THIS notorious for having a bad attitude about doing her job, maybe she should find a different one that's less taxing on her inability to communicate and treat other women with respect. I am utterly disgusted by the treatment and attitude I received from Rogers, and it hurts me to see that I'm not the only one that's wasted my money and time on her. read more

She performed a LEEP procedure on me 2 years back and was so careful, helpful, educational and lovely throughout the entire process-- I never had any fears or concerns. Dr Rogers is a godsend! I've never encountered a doctor as kind, patient, and caring as her. I had an easy pregnancy under her care. But, closer towards the end of my pregnancy, I fell ill and ended up in the hospital for a week while 30 weeks pregnant. There wasn't a day during that difficult hiccup that Dr Rogers wasn't at my aid. When she wasn't visiting me in the hospital, she was constantly monitoring my baby while at home and from her office. She went above and beyond to make sure I had all the help and care from the nurses and the numerous doctors she recommended during my stay, to get me back on my feet, and to especially make sure I didn't deliver early. It took me a loooong time to come across a good obgyn. One who truly cares and puts in the time and effort. Thanks to yelp I found Dr. Rogers, though an odd place to look for good doctors, it did not disappoint me at all. Her staff are very friendly and helpful too, most importantly it does not take them two months to give you an appointment. Oh i forgot to mention that the doctor herself calls in with the lab results which I thought to be wonderful...Thank you doctor. read more

So far she (and her staff!) have been the ABSOLUTE BEST! I'm pregnant with my first child and she has just made this experience so wonderful for me, my husband, AND my mom and mother-in-law (since they insist on being involved). I'm so glad I chose her. I'm approaching week 17 and so far I could not be happier here! I'm just going to really quick address the parking issue brought up by another reviewer, there is street parking! Also, I've never paid more than $5. Oh, AND I have, not once, had to wait long. AND there are things you can do on your phone without wifi (like play solitaire or something) :) She's the best, I would recommend her to anyone I care about! read more

From my first appt with Dr. Rogers to the delivery of my baby, I have had nothing but great experiences. I had over 10 appts with her during my pregnancy so I would say that's enough time to develop an opinion :-). When it came to my delivery, I was set on having a vaginal delivery but ended up needing to have a C-section. I was nervous but Dr. Rogers, Dr Quach, and the entire surgical team gave me the best experience one can have in that particular situation. I'll definitely be having her as my OB for my next pregnancy. read more

I was very impressed by the beauty of the office its very warm and welcoming there. Dr Rogers herself is super excellent!!! Her bedside manner is very warm and welcoming. She professional and knowledgeable. I am so glad I find her she will my new OBGYN...only one thing though....they don't do tubal ligation due to the Catholic hospital policy ugh!!! That was the main reason I went to her but she no longer does it...oh well hopefully she will be able to refer me to a doctor that will do it for me. read more

I didn't even make it into the door! I have insurance - literally government employee insurance. I've never had an issue using it anywhere, even out of the country! The receptionist tells me that this doctor only take employee issued insurance (wtf? My BCBS IS EMPLOYEE issued, but even if it wasn't, what kind of doctor only takes employee issued insurance???) So first this receptionist tells me it isn't valid. Then tells me it is. I call this morning to see if I still have the appointment, to which she tells me is canceled and she didn't reschedule because I didn't ask her to do so. BUT I ALSO DIDN'T ASK HER TO CANCEL IT. So then she goes back to saying my insurance isn't valid because its private and not employer (EXCEPT ITS LITERAL EMPLOYER. IT SAYS EMPLOYER ON THE FREAKING CARD. I LITERALLY HAVE THE SAME DAMN INSURANCE MEMBERS OF CONGRESS HAS!). So here I am today, no OBGYN appointment and no one anywhere near me has any openings until next year. Well hopefully I'm in great health, because Dr. Rogers receptionist / office screwed me over. Ugh. read more
