I was very cautious when choosing an OB. After getting opinions from people around me whom I trust, I decided to go with Dr Ghazaryan. This is now my second baby with Dr. Ghazaryan, and here are some things I love about her: she is very straightforward, extremely knowledgeable, always on top of everything, and cares deeply about her patients. She was my wake-up call throughout my entire pregnancy, and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. The staff is amazing -- I love them all. If you have a bad experience with the staff, try to reflect and see if you may have been the problem lol. And always keep one thing in mind: doctors are not magicians. No one can promise there won't be complications before, during, or after labor. Keep your expectations realistic and always try to stay positive. read more

I've been a patient at this OB/GYN office for many years, and unfortunately I've finally reached the point where I can no longer justify staying. The first issue has always been billing. An annual well-woman exam is supposed to be covered by insurance, but on more than one occasion, if I asked a question about my health during my annual visit, it was reclassified as a problem-focused visit and I was charged a copay. To me, discussing my health concerns is exactly what an annual exam is for. It felt like almost any question could be used as a reason to bill me for an additional office visit. Another frustrating experience was when they ordered several tests that all came back completely normal. Instead of simply calling me with the results, they required me to schedule another appointment just to tell me everything was fine and suggest two medications that I had no intention of taking. That unnecessary visit cost me $85. Over the years, the office has also canceled my appointments multiple times, often citing that the doctor had to leave for surgery. I understand emergencies happen, and I've always been patient and accommodating. However, that same understanding has never been extended to patients. The office is frequently running behind, and it's common to wait 20-30 minutes or more after your scheduled appointment before you're even taken back. Today's experience was the final straw. Before enrolling in my new health insurance plan through work, I called every one of my doctors to confirm they accepted it. This office told me they did. When I arrived for my appointment today, I was about 10 minutes late. While I was checking in, I overheard staff discussing me in another language they didn't realize I understood, commenting that I was late and discussing my situation in the lobby. Regardless of the language being spoken, discussing a patient's situation within earshot of the waiting room is incredibly unprofessional. Then I was told they actually do not accept my insurance. I immediately called my insurance company to see if I could switch my medical group so I could still be seen. While I was doing that, a staff member told me they couldn't see me because I was 10 minutes late. I explained that I understood I was late, but I had also been understanding over the years when they canceled my appointments or kept me waiting well past my appointment time. I even offered to pay cash so I could keep my appointment. Instead of trying to help, I was told they needed to ask the doctor. I was also informed that the doctor had to leave for surgery. Whether that was actually the case or simply an excuse, I don't know. What I do know is that while I was still on the phone with my insurance company trying to resolve everything, I watched the doctor walk out of the office without speaking to me or making any effort to help. To make matters worse, no one had ever informed me when I scheduled the appointment that I needed to arrive early to complete annual paperwork. Every year they have patients fill out the same forms, even when nothing has changed except an insurance card, which they photocopy anyway. At that point, I asked them to tear up my paperwork, signed a medical records release, and decided I would find a new OB/GYN. I've lived in this community my entire life, and I understand that medical offices are busy. I don't expect perfection. What I do expect is professionalism, compassion, respect, and consistent customer service. Unfortunately, after years of giving this office the benefit of the doubt, I can no longer recommend them. The front office staff is pleasant, but Mary in the back office is extremely rude, which really affects the experience. Another concern is that Dr. Ghazaryan does not offer any form of pain management for IUD insertions. Overall, she's an okay doctor, but there are definitely better options out there. read more

Please please please DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR She is rude, she doesn't listen when you need her to listen I went to her when i found out I was pregnant. I heard a lot of bad things but two of my relatives gave good feedbacks so decided to try During my whole pregnancy she was very good, nice, caring buttt when i started to have contractions very early she said just wait few days when you get to 37 weeks I'm going to do something ti make it faster. So I was in contractions for full 12 days. I was having really bad contractions, i was dilating very slow and i had very low amniotic fluid. They first found out i'm having contractions when i went for amniotic fluid check up. After that few days after i started having painful contractions when i went At 2.5 cm my nurse was getting all document's ready for me to stay and she came in said no she's going home after she left even nurse said But I was getting ready for you to stay. So I said i'm not going to go home because i was scared that my water will broke or something will happen and i will not notice even when i was 2.5cm dilated she was saying go home but i stayed after few hours it was 3cm and when she came i again said i'm not going to go home and she said " You have few hours to dilate more or there is no one who will keep you here" This is her words. After few hours they said you are more dilated and called her she came in and said " so you anyway went into active labor?" And she was very rude and serious Like i could to something to stop the process?? All nurses were coming in and saying Oh you're still pregnant? Why They don't do something? before i went to 4cm since it was taking too long I was crying, I was asking her to do C-section or give me a medicine to make it faster but she didn't do ANY THING even when I said I'm taking all responsibility even if something happens. After a lot of time I was finally 5cm and they gave epidural. I was under Epidural from around 6PM until 5 AM in the Morning so almost 12 hours until 3 I was dilating another 5cm and for around one hour I was pushing After My daughter was born they took her to NICU because they thought she had breathing problem. She was sewing me because i had tears and during that time when i was shaking after birth, they took my baby, she turned to me and said " this is why I was telling you not to have at 37 weeks" Can you imagine my feelings? That was the worst minutes of my life because in that situation i was thinking I did something that hurt my baby but just now after 9 months I had strength to talk about this. read more

Dr. Armine Ghazaryan was great and professional, today marked 6 weeks since I did my hysterectomy She followed my case for about a year and tried different treatment options before we decided surgery was the best step. I was feeling really unwell and anxious before surgery, and she made me feel reassured and comfortable throughout the process. I had a missed miscarriage last fall and Dr. Ghazaryan handled my D&C. Everything seemed to go well but she denied any further testing even though this was my second miscarriage and told me my chemical pregnancy wasn't 'medically significant' and that if I became pregnant again there was no reason to be in her office any earlier than the typical 9 weeks. I have since seen two other doctors and they both have said that my first chemical pregnancy was 'medically significant' and they I should be in for an ultra sound earlier than 9 weeks. The worst part was that she did not follow my HCG levels down to zero after my D&C surgery which apparently is the only way to ensure that there is no retained issue. My current doctor described this as 'negligent.' read more

Isn't that unethical? She didn't even look at my or my wife's eyes even once. That was very disrespectful. She even didn't provide professional answers to our questions. She told me on my first visit, that I could never have kids by my own. I walked out crying form her office. Who gives their patient a delicate description of their health that easily with no empathy whatsoever?! As a matter of fact, I am as fertile as I can be, my second opinion doctor gave me all the hope I needed. PCOS is known for infertility and other hormonal issues, however, simple lifestyle changes can bring your hormones back to their normal state. I've had a great experience with Dr. Ghazaryan so far and I am very grateful! Her staff is attentive and communicative. I was a little peeved, though, because I was told to arrive at 8:20am but they don't open until 8:30am. I got there early, so I guess that's a good thing. I'm not familiar with the area so I parked in the parking structure and got lost trying to find an entrance into the building. Once I was in though, it was a breeze. Let me start by saying, I was taken by (big) surprise when I found out I was pregnant with my second son in June 2020. I immediately searched for the doctor who delivered my first son in 2016 at Glendale Adventist Hospital. I was devastated, and became increasingly nervous and anxious, to find out he no longer worked at the hospital and no longer accepted my insurance provider. I was sure I wanted to have my second son at the same hospital because of the service and care I received during my stay with my first son so I started a search of doctors at this hospital. I was very nervous and indecisive on what doctor would be right for me because there were several different options. I looked up reviews for each doctor that I thought could be a good fit for me which turned into hours of online research with an end result of being even more confused. I choose a handful of doctors at the top of my list and started making calls to see if they were accepting new patients and when the first available appointment opening would be. I called the first doctor on my list whose office staff was pleasant enough, but I just didn't feel they were going to be the right fit. It was on my second phone call to Dr. Armine Ghazaryan's office in which I was pleasantly greeted and offered assistance from a woman named, Diana. I explained my situation and how nervous I was at this point of my journey in finding a new doctor and the whole process. She immediately made me feel a sense of calmness and very secure that I was going to be taken care of at this office and super comfortable in the sense that if I ever had any questions or concerns whatsoever that I was able to call and ask them no matter how naive, silly, or important those questions may end up being. Fast forward to my first appointment... To say that I was surprised and completely satisfied after my first appointment with Dr. Armine Ghazaryan would be a huge understatement. The office was clean and was implementing all COVID 19 safety standards. Diana was just as pleasant in person as she was on the phone. The nurses explained the process at check in for that day and for future appointments. The doctor was very friendly and approachable, she made me feel very comfortable in everything that went on during that first. She explained in detail everything she would be dong at my first appointment AND why she would be doing them. She explained the appointments and timeline during my pregnancy entirety, she advised me what to do in the case of emergency that could take place after hours or on the weekends and how to get ahold of her. She made sure to take precautions and have me go in for additional tests as I am over 35 years old. She personally called with certian tests results to inform me of the results, next steps, and answer any questions, concerns,, gears, etc. I had or will have. Being someone who does not like change (a.k.a not wanting to have to worry about finding a new doctor) and being so apprehensive at the start of my surprise pregnancy to try to find a new doctor that I really did like and felt safe with, I have to tell everyone who is searching for a new OBGYN, stop searching now! Dr. Armine Ghazaryan is the doctor you should see and Diana and the rest of the staff are the ones who can assist you in making that happen. I want to give a BIG thank you to every person in this office for helping and making me feel so welcomed and comfortable during this beautiful, yet scary, time in my life.
