Next day I snuck out to this store on my motorcycle in a rush and needed to be in and out before she woke up to surprise her. I initially entered around 10:20 and it was quiet. There were two workers, one at the cash register one in the back. The one at the register immediately acknowledged me and welcomed me in even though I had my helmet on still. I told him exactly what type of bag she had, what color she likes, preferences for safety like: Able to hold close, smaller, more concealable, quick access. Wallet needed to have cards on the INSIDE and fit inside the bag. Within minutes he helped me find the exact bag and wallet combo for her Discounts: I received a 20% discount off the price of both items. I was made aware of every deal going on and pricing of every item I looked at. The worker even explained and modeled different ways the bags can be worn and colors that worked together. Very disappointed with the customer service at Michael Kors during my recent visit. While one associate greeted us and shared the current sales, the rest of the staff appeared disengaged--more focused on their phones than the customers. At one point, I needed a price check and had to look around for help. I eventually found an associate (I remembered, she was wearing a two-piece brown outfit with curly hair) who was on her phone and didn't acknowledge me right away. At checkout, things got even more frustrating. I had just signed up in-store for the KORSVIP program to receive the 10% welcome discount, but the cashier initially refused to apply it, claiming we had already signed up. I showed her the confirmation email with a date and time stamp from just minutes earlier before she reluctantly honored it. This level of service is disappointing, especially from a brand like Michael Kors that's supposed to represent quality and professionalism. They're great everyday sunglasses because the designs are very cute and universal, and they're not super expensive so no worries if they break (I broke my previous pair after years of wearing them). On a mission to find a specific purse at this specific location... I went in and was greeted by Alli. I walked around and was not offered any help by anybody else. Not sure if it was because of my attire. I approached Alli and she assisted in locating the purse I wanted. As for the other staff members that were there... you all suck in customer service. My daughter and I visited this location today (and we purchase all of our MK items here for years) saw several purses that interested us. The one purse in particular we really liked asked the new sales person Bree to get us a price on it; so she pulled out the tag and her calculator on her phone and said that the purse would be $199. The purse was 40% off which made sense if it was $298 (with 40% off plus tax) would've been $199 but when we got to the register we were told that the purse total was $319 that would be with no discount. We were very confused by this price so we asked the store manager Allen to get involved and he came out of the back office with a completely STANK attitude and said that Bree was "new" and that they miss quote prices all day long and that they cannot sell us that purse for the price that she quoted us. But Bree had already scanned the ticket and then did the math on her device so we knew that the price that he gave us was wrong. We had plenty of money to buy whatever purse we wanted to today, in fact we could've bought a few purses but with the attitude of the staff which actually trickles down into pretty much all of the Michael Kors team today 5/16/22 we left disgusted! No one wanted to resolve anything and Bree ran to the back to hide when we politely asked for clarification. To add insult to injury the sales person who was helping someone in front of us had allowed the person who was checking out was shopping to go back-and-forth to the sales floor and get additional items and we have been standing in line for almost 15 minutes. She was the only cashier and there was about six sales people on the sales floor and a active store! No eye contact. No apologies for the long wait just pure STANKNESS! We will never be back. It's clear that this particular team has NOT been properly trained, someone (leadership) needs to go over there and investigate what's really going on. read more

This past Tues I was up in Vista and was headed back to Downtown around 5pm, traffic nightmare right?! I've been wanting a new purse lately, so I decided to stop at the outlets. I also wanted a wallet and possibly some clothes...I knew this wasn't going to be the cheapest way to miss traffic :) I immediately went straight to the Michael Kors store. I loved the purse that I'd had for the last few years and it eventually gave out. I was nicely greeted by Christine who showed me several options when I told her what I had in mind. As I was browsing around, I also saw a lot of fun accessories and some fabulous candles as well. I had one bag which I really liked that came in 3 different sizes. Christine was nice enough to help me decide which was a better fit on me. I wanted to briefly look in Coach before I made any final decisions so I headed over there. The staff over there are quite pushy, to the point where you just want to say, "I got it, you have a sale going on." I didn't find a bag that I liked in there but I did find a wallet. As I was browsing I was thinking about the purse I'd seen in MK and thought about how much my Mom would love their candle set for Mothers Day. So...I went back to MK. Again, I was greeted by Christine. I told her that I definitely wanted the candles and she went and found me a set that wasn't on display, I know that my Mom is going to love these. And after holding both bags again, I decided on one! I'm not a crazy purse shopper as I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars on a handbag. I knew that the outlets were inexpensive, but wow I certainly got a great deal! I was overly excited that I got a super cute white leather signature tote for $98. The candles that I got were also $30 marked down from the original price of $75. The store itself was clean, all of the girls were nice & very helpful, it's a wonderful shopping experience to walk in to and overall, it's a great deal! I came by this past weekend and finally met the MK associate whom helps out my mom on a regular. She is super friendly, smiley, and went above and beyond.. her name is Emily. Emily took the time to assist us with purse shopping, pricing, and checking out the jewelry .. trying on different bracelets etc. She made the experience great along with some of the other associates as well. I come here a few times a year (Christmas, moms birthday, girlfriend's birthday). I always find the nicest bags here for the important women of my life (see list above of reasons why I go). Some bags are flashy with the MK logo all over, some are very basic with a nice leather that just have the MK badge by the straps. If the purses are a little higher than your price range they also have some bags in the store from a previous season that are usually an additional 40% off. Aside from that they have a nice assortment of clothing as well such as tops, pants, and dresses. They are pretty colorful and seem to be lighter weight nice clothing perfect for San Diego's warm weather that's pretty constant. I have to be honest, I have shopped here for myself once or twice. Their unisex sunglasses and watches do call to me. I love the white watch I purchased here a year ago and the brown shades I purchased a few months ago (which I have already lost). The sales team here is really perky and upbeat and always happy to help and can always lend some great advice on what to get if needed. read more

I love MK handbags and also the watches. So far, out of all the MK outlet that I 've ever been to.. this location (Carlsbad) is the most nice, clean, uncluttered and organized store. They are fully stocked and so many variety of style. Their sale is also very good. They have an additional 40% of their already markdown price. If you have AAA membership card, you can have additional 20% off their "non clearance" item. Off course the Sale will change from time to time, but so far... they will have this extra 40 for a while until the change of the Season starts... The staff are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their merchandise. Bottom Line: Lots of handbags and some clothing with ok prices. I've never even looks at Michael Kors handbags and wallets but I've always gravitated towards the clothing at Nordstrom. However, at this store the clothing line seems like it is marketed toward older, more mature ladies than the fun pieces I've found at department stores in the past. And the blouses that I like are still $80 at the Outlet so that is always a bummer. I duck in here regularly and I have yet to find any hidden gems but I'll keep checking back. I wanted to just lie down in this store and savor all of the awesome purses!!! Somehow though, I dont think that would be smiled upon. So I just walked through the store, very slowly... touching them all, looking at them all.... dreaming about how great they would all look on my shoulder. The one I fell in love with, was actually only (I say only like Im a millionaire) $169, and its large! They had the matching wallet but I just couldnt take the sadness of picking it up, touching it, getting close to it and having to leave it there. Wifey and I did some Christmas shopping last year and were shopping for a new purse for her. We walked through all the shops and agreed that MK had the best look and quality to what she was looking for. They had a great sale going on that was too good to pass up, so we bought a bag and matching wallet. Fast forwards to 6 months later, the bag started to tear at the handle and was pretty disappointing that it happened so soon. We drove 45 minutes to take it back since we were within the 1 year warranty period and after a little back and forth, Heather and Robinne helped my wife get a new bag! Although she was sad because they had discontinued her old bag with a new model, the customer service that was shown was tremendous. I am so disappointed in this store's customer service and team. Went with a friend to the store today to return a purse she bought 3 days ago. The cashier insisted it was used and would not allow the return. She explained she tried it and realized it didn't have a lining or a pocket and it did not work for her. The purse was in excellent condition. She was trying to exchange it for another purse...so no funny business on this end. They refused to take it back. Honestly, I'm still in shock! I would never expect a higher end store like Michael Kors would treat a long time customer this way or have a policy like this. The people in the store were just so rude. My mom took me into Michael Kors to buy me a new watch for Christmas.. We probably have been to this store at least once a year for the past few years for Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, etc., Once I decided on a red watch, we asked to have it sized in store. After having many Michael Kors watches sizes, we knew that I would need 2 links taken from the bottom (under the 6) and 1 link taken from the top (above the 12). This is the way that all of my MK watches have been sized. My mom made sure to reiterate the exact amount of links and from where to remove. The sales lady helping us said "okay", in way that seemed as if she was just brushing off whatever we were asking. After waiting about 15 minutes she brought the watch out. Me being excited about my new watch, I put it on as we are walking out of the store. While we were walking away, the watch kept turning on my arm. We took a closer look and it was very apparent that they just removed all 3 links from the top (above the 12). We walked back into the store and straight to the check out counter to the same sales lady and my mom explained to her what happened and again reiterated that she asked for 1 link to be removed from the top and 2 from the bottom. Immediately, the sales lady started defending herself and whoever sized the watch, by saying something along the lines of "we are taught to do it a certain way". (Interesting that she didn't mention this fact when we first made our request.) So once again, my mom told her that she specifically asked for it to be done a certain way for a reason. (To stop the watch from twisting upwards on my wrist.) Another sales lady then stepped in and said "okay, well what do you consider the top?". To which we replied, "the top is above the 12". And we showed them what the watch was doing with it being incorrectly sized. (All the while, the first sales lady that was "helping" us was clearly talking and laughing about us to another employee.) Yet again, another sales lady steps in and says "oh yes, I get mine sized like that too". They then take the watch to the back to have it fixed again.. we waited 30 min until we ask how much longer it'll be. They send a manager to check on it and she then comes out with the watch. My mom immediately takes it to inspect it and sees that they chipped the red paint from the watch while trying to resize it. My mom then shows the manager what happened and asks for her to just give us a completely new watch and tells her that we will just have it sized elsewhere. As she hands us a new watch, my mom let her know that we did explain to the first saleswoman exactly how we wanted it sized and asked her to relay the message to whoever was going to size it. Again, instead of apologizing, she just started defending herself and whoever sized it, by saying "well I can't speak for someone else". We have never had a problem, until today, for resizing a watch.. And from an actual Michael Kors store! Macy's even does a better job on resizing my MK watches! 2 stars are for the employees that "helped" us at this location. Maybe one of the worst experiences I have encountered with customer service. I bought a 3.4 oz bottle of Michael Kors perfume by Michael Kors. Today I noticed a large stain where the bottle had apparently been leaking. As I was just running out to get gas I stuck a tissue under it. When I came home I found not only a huge 'water' type mark where the perfume had leaked but the tissue is glued to my expensive, large 41" tall armoire. My furniture is irreplaceably ruined. I have purchased more purses, wallets and other types of things from Michael Kors than I can count, especially since I live by the Carlsbad Premium Outlets. I always bypass Coach, Dooney & Bourke, and Kate Spade for Michael Kors. At this point I was told they will not even replace my bottle of perfume. That's the least of my concerns to be honest. I need my furniture replaced!!! At least a couple hundred dollar credit on Amazon to buy something cheap until I have the funds to really replace it.
