I bought a bag here at Michael Kors and paid cash. When I got home I put all my stuff in my new bag. With all my stuff in the bag, the shoulder strap was very uncomfortable. I took it back the very next morning when the store opened and asked for my money back (after all I did pay cash). They told me they would not refund my money and would only give me store credit. I told them that I didn't see a bag I liked and asked for a refund. I was never told that they do not issue refunds but they still refused. So here I am with a store credit and no purse that I like. This is the worst kind of customer service. After I use the store credit, I will never step foot in a Michael Kors store and I hope whoever reads will also boycott Michael Kors. read more

Another stop onthe birthday trip.. This is a really great store that offers significant discounts off retail especially in the clearnace sections. Sizing can be limited. Spent $662.65 for five bags... talked to Jackie who got the commision and she cant help me get 4 small paper bag so that it will be easier to hand them as a gift... needed to talk to a manager and she had te worst customer service attitude..."Sir if all customer ask for extra bags during this holiday season it will be alot...also sir its our policy not to hand extra bag..." Great Customer Service! I bought a pair of pants that was a super good deal, it was transferred from a retail store originally priced at $125 I got it for $29.99. When I got home I loved it even more! So, I called the nearest Michael Kors outlet near me at Cabazon but, unfortunately they did not have it...I called the store in Carlsbad and asked if they would transfer the item to another store...A gal named Kimmie had a better solution! Unacceptable customer service. My receipt was past the 30 day return and exchange policy. I missed the extended Covid day of return which was August 31. Really I'm just 5 days past the date that I wasn't even aware of. If I could give negatives stars I would definitely do that! I was shopping for Christmas gifts and I thought those MK wristlets would be a great gift for aunts or cousins. So I was planning to buy 10 of them and I requested to get 10 small paper bags so I could give them as separate gifts . I think that A REAsONABLE request since if these were sold to 10 different customers the store would give out 10 paper bags anyways. But the cashier rolled her eyes to me and said no. There were no explanations and she doesn't even care to say anything else. Then I requested again she said the store manager didn't allow it. So I said how about three small paper bags? More ridiculously the lady next to me requested additional bags and the other cashier gave to her..I really don't understand why three fucking paper bags matter so much to them. Went to the store today and was looking at the shoes. The sign said 50% off and "price as marked"...so when you look under the shoes they have two Stickers one says "225" the other "60" so I'm like wow what I great deal for 60$! Which seemed realistic given the holiday sales? When I went to the register the cashier tells me "ohhhh that means it's 60% off ". I said how does that even make sense when the sign says 50% and price as marked. The sticker didn't have a % nor a $, just 60. The boot was marked 60 and should be sold for the lowest ticketed price, which was 60. So this thing they are doing by putting the percentage off as a sticker next to the "price" is so confusing and misleading, and quite frankly could be seen as false advertising. Don't put a sign if you're going to change the price anyway. Then they get you to the register and make you feel awkward about it and the sales associate makes it like you're dumb for thinking that would be the price and tries to get you to purchase it anyway because "you're still getting a great deal". read more

As a looong time and loyal Michael Kors buyer I am LIVID. I bought a purse three days ago and tried it out and it didn't work out for me. The Kimberly purse is the ONLY purse in the store that does not have a pocket inside of it. It was driving me crazy that I didn't have a place for my key/phone. I went to return it today and they told me that I was unable to return it. I spoke to the manager and was told bc I used it for three hours I was unable to return it. The purse is in excellent condition, the purse looked good as new. I am floored by this customer service from someone that has been a long term customer. It was my first time at this outlet I live in national city and heard about the huge sale and decided to come up and check it out I didn't know exactly where the store was located in the mall so I called and the woman who answered the phone gave me good directions. When I got into the store they handed me a 20% off coupon in addition to the 60% sale that was already going on at that moment I knew then it was definitely worth the drive. I couldn't really make my decision on which purse to buy, I knew that I wanted something for every day use preferably a medium size bag. I also really wanted to grab a pair of sunglasses that I once saw at a different store but passed up luckily for me there was one last pair at this store and Sharon was kind enough to clean them for me and made sure they were to my liking. There was also another woman who helped me with pricing questions I had she had long blonde hair and spoke Spanish. Between her and Sharon they provided great customer service they were very attentive and patient. But Sharon went above and beyond by really helping me find the perfect bag for me so that I didn't feel like I was settling on a choice but that I was absolutely sure of my purchase. I've been shopping at Michael Kors for maybe five or six years now and I can't say that I've felt more comfortable than when I was in the Carlsbad location. I was in gym clothes, slides, my hair wasn't done and I had no make up on I don't even think I had time to put lotion on so I was probably ashy, lol.. but they made me feel like my presence there was just as important as anyone else in the store and i've had enough experience to know that, that is a rarity when it comes to shopping at places like Michael Kors. So I wanted to make sure I wrote a review and extended my deepest appreciation to the staff. There was even a short young woman with long dark brown hair who noticed we were waiting in line longer than expected and she came over and apologized for the wait it's paying attention to details like that, that will make such a big difference in how customers feel when they are in the store. This store has the worst employees when it comes to store security. From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in we could tell we were being watched! I understand having to take preventative measures, but when you're being watched openly and awkwardly it's extremely disturbing. I'd go as far and say maybe it was a race thing but both the employees and my boyfriend and I are all Mexican, so that didn't make sense. It got so awkward to the point that when we headed to the line to pay, we just turned around and left. Five stars for customer service alone. The three ladies that helped me made me feel like my patronage was appreciated and wanted. They were all very attentive and friendly without the feeling of being hounded by a salesperson. I don't remember their names (I'm absolutely terrible with names), but one was blonde, the other was pregnant and the other was a taller brunette ( possibly a supervisor or manager). I would come here again and would definitely recommend this location to my friends. Love this store! I went in as an after thought to buy an I.D. holder for my Real Estate card. I found a great case for $29.00! Beautiful leather with a strap. Holds my business cards and my Sandicor card for Real Estate. While in the shop I took a look at the handbags. I am not a name brand handbag kind of gal. I normally choose a handbag in the 30.00 range. The sales girl showed me a bag that I really thought would be functional. I purchased the bag and I have to say I really love it. It is beautiful and functional. Two weeks later I went back with my mother to get her and they happened to be on Sale for $19.00! Really nice leather (the same one I purchased a couple weeks ago). I love the deals they have here and I continue to buy my purses here. But my last experience with an employee was so uncomfortable and awkward. I went with my friend. I picked up a bag that I was interested in and the employee walks over to me and asks if she can help me and I said "No, thanks." Then she stood there staring at me as if she was about to say something but I had nothing else to say. I was so uncomfortable. Then she asked if I needed help finding similar bags to compare and I said no, but she just kept standing there staring at me while I was trying to look at this bag. I came in the store, not really looking for a new MK purse but I figured I deserve it why not! So I looked all of the purses and found a BEAUTIFUL brown tote that was all leather. I carried it around while I shopped and contemplated the purchase. As I was looking the staff asked if they could help me find anything..etc...but they were very nice (not like other stores where it seems like they are harassing you). ANYWAY I sat the purse down and took a picture and sent it to my friend for approval (she loved it) so I went to buy it. They picked up the purse and I saw all these scratches on the bottom of the purse. I said, no I did not want to buy it if it had all those scratches on the purse, they went in the back and found a PERFECT purse (the same but with no marks) and I bought that one. We did not have a pleasant shopping experience at one of your stores. We went to shop at Cabazon outlet in California last Monday Sept 21th with our friends and family. Our group has more than 10 people. The total of our purchase was around $ 1500 dollars and we decided to put them into two transactions ONLY FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE CASHIER OTHERWISE WE WOULD SEPARATE THE PURCHASE INTO INDIVIDUAL TRANSACTION. We were given two bags only. We asked for an extra one since it was too heavy but our cashier who's name Natalie told us it is Michael Kors policy not to give out any extra bag. The store manager who's name Kimberly was also there but did not intervene and agreed with what Natalie did to us which was not to give us an extra bag. How can a company be so CHEAP that they can not offer their customers an extra bag free of charge. Please note that we made only two transactions for the entire purchase instead of making separate transaction which might be time consuming. Because we were not given an extra bag. We asked the cashier if we could returned them all and put them into 10 different transactions that means the cashier would have to provide us 10 bags ???? We asked Natalie we would like to return but she told US THAT MICHAEL KORS DOES NOT TAKE RETURNS ????? THAT IS A COMPLETE LIE because we read everything on the back of the receipt ... it says 30 days return policy. At this point, we were so frustrated. We did not want to make a scene in front of other customers. The cashier did not have a name tag but we asked for her name, why does Michael Kors employees do not carry name tags? Lastly, no one came to help us or provide us assistance when there were several employees standing around doing nothing. WE ARE DEEPLY PROFOUND ABOUT HOW WE WERE TREATED. WE KNOW MICHAEL KORS DOES NOT TRAIN EMPLOYEES LIKE THAT. WE WOULD LIKE TO NOTE OUR CONCERN AND ADDRESS THIS INCIDENT... The staff here are friendly. The problem I have is that most of the products available aren't part of the true MK lines. Many brands buy & make items specifically for their outlet stores with cheaper materials. I'm certain that this is the practice here & that few products available actually trickle down from MK stores. That being said I think the jewelry and watches hold up to the real deal & I MIGHT come here for what I consider lesser items like wallets & travel bags, but will likely not purchase a purse here for the reason stated above & because it still seems too pricey for what you get (example: wallet of lesser quality=$138 here, 40% off sale was happening = ~$83. The real deal wallet at the MK store is $138. I'd rather pay a little more for better quality, personally). read more
