Ok ok I'll give them 5 stars...even though they let my wife go (2nd employee EVER) just because she requested Christmas vacation (policies policies). Still, the clothes are amazing. As a guy, there's little there for me but sunglasses, cologne and watches but 90% of my entire watch collection is Michael Kors...must mean something ;) Keep up the good work girls! read more

I bought a bag here at Michael Kors and paid cash. When I got home I put all my stuff in my new bag. With all my stuff in the bag, the shoulder strap was very uncomfortable. I took it back the very next morning when the store opened and asked for my money back (after all I did pay cash). They told me they would not refund my money and would only give me store credit. I told them that I didn't see a bag I liked and asked for a refund. I was never told that they do not issue refunds but they still refused. So here I am with a store credit and no purse that I like. This is the worst kind of customer service. After I use the store credit, I will never step foot in a Michael Kors store and I hope whoever reads will also boycott Michael Kors. read more

Lucky me, most of my friends like Michael Kors, which saves me time and some nerves when I need really nice B-day presents. I came in for just one gift, but ended up leaving with two absolutely amazing pairs of watches for different people, plus I haven't forgotten about myself: one summer dress did literally chose my closet as its next location. I actually like MK style and designs. Came here with some friends to buy a watch. Store is clean and the service is great. Actually chatted to the sales rep for a good 15 minutes talking about random stuff. She was cool..... =) Sales rep took it upon herself to go to the stockroom to get an untouched diaper bag instead of selling us one on display. It's always nice to get something that's untouched. So we walked out with a new watch and diaper bag.... read more

Great Customer Service! I bought a pair of pants that was a super good deal, it was transferred from a retail store originally priced at $125 I got it for $29.99. When I got home I loved it even more! So, I called the nearest Michael Kors outlet near me at Cabazon but, unfortunately they did not have it...I called the store in Carlsbad and asked if they would transfer the item to another store...A gal named Kimmie had a better solution! She was able to charge it over the phone and they will mail it to me by ground for free! Awesome Customer Service!!! read more

Another stop onthe birthday trip.. This is a really great store that offers significant discounts off retail especially in the clearnace sections. Sizing can be limited. Store sales staff was super helpful, got items for us and checkout was a breeze. I own several pieces of Michael Kors retail store clothing and have been a fan. This store is a winner! I highly recommend them for a stop on your outlet trip. read more

Loved my visit here! On a Thursday, so hardly anyone at this outlet mall, which was great..Naomi was a great help. On top of their 50% off, they had coupons for AN ADDITIONAL 20% off! Added a few more things to my collection- lol! Had alot of fun at Michael Kors :) read more

Spent $662.65 for five bags... talked to Jackie who got the commision and she cant help me get 4 small paper bag so that it will be easier to hand them as a gift... needed to talk to a manager and she had te worst customer service attitude..."Sir if all customer ask for extra bags during this holiday season it will be alot...also sir its our policy not to hand extra bag..." At this time I already wanted to return everything and the great manager said yes...its ok... got to the cashier and she graciously offere store credit.. on a transaction that was 5 mins old... So when i asked for a copy of the policy...the manager said i can give you three bags... What the hell... you could have given a customer 3 bags instead of 4 and we would have been all on our merry way... Dear store manager... $662.65 transaction doesnt walk in everytime... you dont have to destroy a customers buying experience... we could have taken our money to another store. Paper bag is part of your expense for each bag sold... because your marketing people didnt account that each vustomer will be buying 5 bags at a time... if your running out of paper bag... it means you have a very weak forecast for sales. 9/4/216 @ Carlsbad Outlet (Michael Kors) Store:00139 Transaction 025244 12:11PM read more

Unacceptable customer service. My receipt was past the 30 day return and exchange policy. I missed the extended Covid day of return which was August 31. Really I'm just 5 days past the date that I wasn't even aware of. Regardless any other reputable store would honor this simple exchange for a $50 wallet that I received as a gift. #michaelkors horrible. Managers you have the ability to override. read more

If I could give negatives stars I would definitely do that! I was shopping for Christmas gifts and I thought those MK wristlets would be a great gift for aunts or cousins. So I was planning to buy 10 of them and I requested to get 10 small paper bags so I could give them as separate gifts . I think that A REAsONABLE request since if these were sold to 10 different customers the store would give out 10 paper bags anyways. But the cashier rolled her eyes to me and said no. There were no explanations and she doesn't even care to say anything else. Then I requested again she said the store manager didn't allow it. So I said how about three small paper bags? The store manager said no with the most terrible and disrespectful look I have ever seen. More ridiculously the lady next to me requested additional bags and the other cashier gave to her..I really don't understand why three fucking paper bags matter so much to them. And why I was treated different and discriminated. But I know I will never shop there again and I will never buy any MK stuff. The is the most horrible shopping experience I've had. read more

Went to the store today and was looking at the shoes. The sign said 50% off and "price as marked"...so when you look under the shoes they have two Stickers one says "225" the other "60" so I'm like wow what I great deal for 60$! Which seemed realistic given the holiday sales? When I went to the register the cashier tells me "ohhhh that means it's 60% off ". I said how does that even make sense when the sign says 50% and price as marked. The sticker didn't have a % nor a $, just 60. The boot was marked 60 and should be sold for the lowest ticketed price, which was 60. So this thing they are doing by putting the percentage off as a sticker next to the "price" is so confusing and misleading, and quite frankly could be seen as false advertising. Don't put a sign if you're going to change the price anyway. Then they get you to the register and make you feel awkward about it and the sales associate makes it like you're dumb for thinking that would be the price and tries to get you to purchase it anyway because "you're still getting a great deal". read more

The store was clean and well layed-out, but the employees were incredibly rude. I went in with my boyfriend and, because we look young, they proceeded to treat us like kids and ignored us, walked away for 5 minutes in the middle of checking out, and took their sweet time when doing literally everything. They were very unfriendly and untalkative as well. read more

I would advise everyone who goes into the store not to be fooled by their somewhat okay customer service. Because in the end it's not. I have bought plenty of purses at this store and I got one a month ago that in my eyes is defective. I only wanted to exchange it for the exact same purse and the manager Sedrick basically called me a liar and told me it wasn't defective. I will never shop in the store again and I'm sure Michael Kors himself would not be happy. What a shame. I am updating my review since the manager Ashleigh made it right. I really prescient your time and your attention that you put towards this matter. Thank you read more

First time visiting this store. I understand how busy retail can get during the holidays but I only asked 1 question for 2 different employees and each displayed poor customer service fits right into the stereotype. To say the least I'm displeased with this store. I hope not all high end retail displays such conduct. read more

As a looong time and loyal Michael Kors buyer I am LIVID. I bought a purse three days ago and tried it out and it didn't work out for me. The Kimberly purse is the ONLY purse in the store that does not have a pocket inside of it. It was driving me crazy that I didn't have a place for my key/phone. I went to return it today and they told me that I was unable to return it. I spoke to the manager and was told bc I used it for three hours I was unable to return it. The purse is in excellent condition, the purse looked good as new. I am floored by this customer service from someone that has been a long term customer. I'll never be stepping into that store again.......beware!! read more

It was my first time at this outlet I live in national city and heard about the huge sale and decided to come up and check it out I didn't know exactly where the store was located in the mall so I called and the woman who answered the phone gave me good directions. When I got into the store they handed me a 20% off coupon in addition to the 60% sale that was already going on at that moment I knew then it was definitely worth the drive. I couldn't really make my decision on which purse to buy, I knew that I wanted something for every day use preferably a medium size bag. I also really wanted to grab a pair of sunglasses that I once saw at a different store but passed up luckily for me there was one last pair at this store and Sharon was kind enough to clean them for me and made sure they were to my liking. There was also another woman who helped me with pricing questions I had she had long blonde hair and spoke Spanish. Between her and Sharon they provided great customer service they were very attentive and patient. But Sharon went above and beyond by really helping me find the perfect bag for me so that I didn't feel like I was settling on a choice but that I was absolutely sure of my purchase. I've been shopping at Michael Kors for maybe five or six years now and I can't say that I've felt more comfortable than when I was in the Carlsbad location. I was in gym clothes, slides, my hair wasn't done and I had no make up on I don't even think I had time to put lotion on so I was probably ashy, lol.. but they made me feel like my presence there was just as important as anyone else in the store and i've had enough experience to know that, that is a rarity when it comes to shopping at places like Michael Kors. So I wanted to make sure I wrote a review and extended my deepest appreciation to the staff. There was even a short young woman with long dark brown hair who noticed we were waiting in line longer than expected and she came over and apologized for the wait it's paying attention to details like that, that will make such a big difference in how customers feel when they are in the store. Great job ladies!! I will definitely be coming back to your store for future purchases! read more

The purses are the highlight for me; solid construction and leather components that withstand the test of time. I can easily do without sales representatives who smile at customers, then smirk and make snide remarks behind their backs. Who do they think they're fooling with that snarky attitude? read more

You know it's bad customer service to begin with if you call to check if an item is in stock and the voice mail answers. Nice, clean MK store at the Carlsbad Outlet. Their name brand items, especially purses and watches, are particularly pricey. I suggest venturing to the back left and perusing their sale section. Shark...tank. You can tell the girls have sales numbers to make. From the observation, I assume revenue per hour. They were friendly, I didn't feel like I was being perceived as "just looking" and we got what we wanted. Every few minutes "can I help you" when we kinda wanted to be left alone. Eventually a young gal got lucky when we found a purse, tried to upsell (which I respect) then left us alone. Priscilla I believe her name was. She did a good job read more

Five stars for customer service alone. The three ladies that helped me made me feel like my patronage was appreciated and wanted. They were all very attentive and friendly without the feeling of being hounded by a salesperson. I don't remember their names (I'm absolutely terrible with names), but one was blonde, the other was pregnant and the other was a taller brunette ( possibly a supervisor or manager). I would come here again and would definitely recommend this location to my friends. These ladies definitely know what it means to build rapport with customers and to make them feel like they are friends and not just another dollar sign. Plus the purses are fabulous and priced to sell . read more

This store has the worst employees when it comes to store security. From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in we could tell we were being watched! I understand having to take preventative measures, but when you're being watched openly and awkwardly it's extremely disturbing. I'd go as far and say maybe it was a race thing but both the employees and my boyfriend and I are all Mexican, so that didn't make sense. It got so awkward to the point that when we headed to the line to pay, we just turned around and left. I'd rather go wait in a thirty minute line at the Las America's location then ever coming here again. read more

Love this store! I went in as an after thought to buy an I.D. holder for my Real Estate card. I found a great case for $29.00! Beautiful leather with a strap. Holds my business cards and my Sandicor card for Real Estate. While in the shop I took a look at the handbags. I am not a name brand handbag kind of gal. I normally choose a handbag in the 30.00 range. The sales girl showed me a bag that I really thought would be functional. I purchased the bag and I have to say I really love it. It is beautiful and functional. Two weeks later I went back with my mother to get her and they happened to be on Sale for $19.00! Really nice leather (the same one I purchased a couple weeks ago). I got one for my daughter and my sister who travels alot...AWESOME! Great service, great handbags and beautiful ID holder on SALE!!! P.S. I did a price check at the coach store around the corner and their ID holders were $48.00 and very drab looking. Not the beautiful leather MK had. read more

I came in the store, not really looking for a new MK purse but I figured I deserve it why not! So I looked all of the purses and found a BEAUTIFUL brown tote that was all leather. I carried it around while I shopped and contemplated the purchase. As I was looking the staff asked if they could help me find anything..etc...but they were very nice (not like other stores where it seems like they are harassing you). ANYWAY I sat the purse down and took a picture and sent it to my friend for approval (she loved it) so I went to buy it. They picked up the purse and I saw all these scratches on the bottom of the purse. I said, no I did not want to buy it if it had all those scratches on the purse, they went in the back and found a PERFECT purse (the same but with no marks) and I bought that one. I've had so many compliments on the purse :) read more

Classy place, friendly people... But $300 for the majority of items in the handbag store? In an Outlet store? Not my gig.

Sharon, Cedrick, and Shaun were really helpful... Found me the stuff I needed at the right price. Great experience.

I love the deals they have here and I continue to buy my purses here. But my last experience with an employee was so uncomfortable and awkward. I went with my friend. I picked up a bag that I was interested in and the employee walks over to me and asks if she can help me and I said "No, thanks." Then she stood there staring at me as if she was about to say something but I had nothing else to say. I was so uncomfortable. Then she asked if I needed help finding similar bags to compare and I said no, but she just kept standing there staring at me while I was trying to look at this bag. Mind you, she was about a foot away from me and she wasn't walking away. I probably looked uncomfortable, trying to figure out how to get out of this weird situation, so she asked "Are you okay?" My friend and I looked at each other like umm what?? I ended up just buying the bag I was looking at partly because I liked it and partly so my friend and I could quickly walk away from this woman. Weirdest and MOST uncomfortable customer service I've ever experienced anywhere. read more

I was just here, but unfortunately wasn't able to even look at anything, because the moment I stepped into the store, I was chased by someone named Danika trying to tell me about the sale, ask if I have questions, and proceed to follow me when I told her several times that I didn't need help. Guess what? I turned right around, and went and spent several hundred dollars at Coach, where I had an enjoyable shopping experience. Your bad, Danika! read more

We did not have a pleasant shopping experience at one of your stores. We went to shop at Cabazon outlet in California last Monday Sept 21th with our friends and family. Our group has more than 10 people. The total of our purchase was around $ 1500 dollars and we decided to put them into two transactions ONLY FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THE CASHIER OTHERWISE WE WOULD SEPARATE THE PURCHASE INTO INDIVIDUAL TRANSACTION. We were given two bags only. We asked for an extra one since it was too heavy but our cashier who's name Natalie told us it is Michael Kors policy not to give out any extra bag. The store manager who's name Kimberly was also there but did not intervene and agreed with what Natalie did to us which was not to give us an extra bag. How can a company be so CHEAP that they can not offer their customers an extra bag free of charge. Please note that we made only two transactions for the entire purchase instead of making separate transaction which might be time consuming. Because we were not given an extra bag. We asked the cashier if we could returned them all and put them into 10 different transactions that means the cashier would have to provide us 10 bags ???? We asked Natalie we would like to return but she told US THAT MICHAEL KORS DOES NOT TAKE RETURNS ????? THAT IS A COMPLETE LIE because we read everything on the back of the receipt ... it says 30 days return policy. At this point, we were so frustrated. We did not want to make a scene in front of other customers. The cashier did not have a name tag but we asked for her name, why does Michael Kors employees do not carry name tags? Lastly, no one came to help us or provide us assistance when there were several employees standing around doing nothing. WE ARE DEEPLY PROFOUND ABOUT HOW WE WERE TREATED. WE KNOW MICHAEL KORS DOES NOT TRAIN EMPLOYEES LIKE THAT. WE WOULD LIKE TO NOTE OUR CONCERN AND ADDRESS THIS INCIDENT... We are loyal customers of Michael Kors but incident has changed our mind about spending money at your stores. Thank you very much . read more
