I walked in thirty minutes before they were about to close (I hate being that person sometimes but it happens) I didn't get the name of the wonderful lady that was eager to answer any questions I had and set up the fitting room with the clothes I wanted to try on, but she was amazing. I'm 99% sure I'm just too poor to fully understand... But who pays $18.50 for a pair of cotton boxers? What am I getting extra than just buying $5 cotton boxers and putting the remaining $13.50 into my Roth IRA? Lets see... Made of cotton. Doesn't say local, organic or fair trade. The doggies are a cute pattern. I love dogs! The whales are cute too, but not as cute as the doggies. Sorry guys. Made in China. Probably a sweatshop. Maybe not. Or Made in Maurituis, a small island east of Africa. Once a slave port for France. Texture didn't feel any nicer or softer than my Old Navy or Walmart boxers. No built in fitness tracker. Lame. Built in Chick magnet? Nope. No J.Crew logo on out the outside? Wtf? If I'm going to buy name-brand clothing, I want people to know I'm more awesome than they are because I wear name-brand clothing and they don't. Non-name-brand clothing people are losers, obvy! So again, why would anyone pay $18.50 for these boxers? Again, I'm probably too poor to understand. Illogical. But the staff is nice and the sale items can be a decent value. Hooray! It's open :) I'm a big fan of J Crew but not a big fan of how crazy Fashion Valley is - so ever since they closed the J Crew in Horton Plaza years ago & made the FV location smaller shopping at J Crew has been pretty nil for me. So, with the upgrade at UTC the new J Crew store moved in! It's across from PBK Kids and down the Nordstrom side of the mall. One down side is since it just opened there are no sale items at all but it won't be long before the sale area starts. This store is larger then the FV store and has a whole shoe section to the side. And luckily for me much closer - not lucky for my bank account though! read more

This location seems less packed than Fashion Valley. It's been a hit or miss with the customer service here for me. Sometimes the sales girls are great at helping you out and/or returning items. Other times I've had one or two sales rep seem disinterested in taking the time to help a customer. I think their women's sale section (which, come on, admit is, is the only way most of us can afford to shop here nowadays) is the largest in town. That's why I'm giving this location four stars. They're located right next to Tiffany's and across from Pottery Barn. I think it's easiest to park in the Nordstrom lot to have better access to this location. UTC really has revamped itself so this J Crew really reflects the new feel of the mall. Come check out this location if you haven't already. read more

JCrew misleads customers with a "30 day return policy." When you order online, it's really more like a week (JCrew subtracts the time it takes them and their shippers to send the package, send the return, and then process the return) Direct quote from customer service: "it takes up to two weeks for the return to be completed and the policy indicates that returns need to be processed and received within the 30 day window" ... shady practice, I would avoid doing business with this company. read more

Maybe not a review for the whole team, or the store, but for one outstanding employee. Had an issue to resolve today due to some confusion on an item return, and were very lucky to have Mila working with us. I rarely praise customer service, but have to say that Mila went above and beyond our expectations. Cheerful, helpful and courteous, she instantly understood the problem and worked diligently to solve it. 5 stars for Mila and J.Crew for employing such outstanding person! read more

Haven't shopped at JCrew for some time and stopped in for some work clothes for an upcoming business trip. Several sales-folks walking around and not one...I repeat...NOT ONE asked if we needed assistance. They watched us go in and out of the dressing room multiple times getting various sizes and not once asked if they could help with a size or even tried recommending something else that may work. JCrew customer service has either gone downhill or it's just the management of this store. Disappointing. read more

I have been in three times now since it opened. The first time was opening day - obviously a zoo. The next two times, I had a similar experience. I do not think that many of the people that work there know they work there. Both times I have had to ask someone to get me a fitting room (and I was weighted down with clothes on my arms). And there are some very rude salesgirls/checkout girls. The guys that work there are the worst. I will keep going back, as it's closer than the FV location, but hopefully they will get their act together. read more

Was just there tonight. My wife bought a few things. All good. Where I'm really annoyed is that I saw a pair of Kenton boots size 12. No price. I ask for the price. The sales woman goes to find out and comes back. $90 she says. Are you sure? I asked twice. And I follow up by saying these are usually $250. Twice, she says nope, they are $90. They are pretty scuffled but I'm like hey for $90 it's a good deal. We get to the cash register... she rings them and the price comes out at $250. She goes into a song a dance about how the deal is on a different color they have on stock... she asks another sales person and she is as confused as my sales woman... blah blah blah. Anyway I told them to keep the stupid shoes. It feels like that place is really going down hill. read more

The customer survive is overwhelmingly positive at this location - probably the best I've ever received at a J. Crew. (Although the staff at Fashion Valley have been nice, the location seems understaffed, as I wait many times for for too long to get help). I rushed over Sunday evening to make a return, and arrived 15 min to closing. I felt horrible when I needed a shoe for an exchange, as they were preparing for new merchandise on the floor, but the manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and ship me all the pieces they didn't have in my size. It was perfect customer service- nothing astounding- but unfortunately it seems so rare with busy stores that I felt compelled to write. Love you, J. Crew. read more

My friend left here super pissed as she wasn't able to make a purchase. While we were waiting in line, she was next, and she couldn't get service. They actually told her that they weren't going to help her, that everything else they were doing was a priority. HUH? So we left without buying anything. read more

Superb customer service and attention to detail. Wendy the store director is amazing. She was nice enough to let me return an item that turned discolored after a wash. The icing on the cake was when she was able to find my lost sunglasses, i had left in the dressing room, a week before. Super sweet person, willing to do everything in her power to help you out. A favorite brand opens another retail store closer to me. Great! Now if they had all the current collections I would be a happier customer. The store is nice, sales representatives even nicer, but I think I'll continue being an online customer given that I can browse through all items and take a look at the incoming collections. read more

Hit or miss customer service. I had completely opposite experiences two days in a row. I went one day and it was fine and went back the next day and the employees were rude to me and my friend. The check out was the worst. Long time in line and then the employee was passive aggressive when I tried to make a small chat about one of the items I was buying. Didn't even said "thank you". Then my friend went and when she said "thank you" the employee called the next in line completely ignoring her. After her checkout I went back and pointed out that the item I purchased was a bit damaged and another just had an attitude and said they would have to order it. At some other places they offer a small discount for damaged goods but here they don't work with the customer. Weird how the day before there was an employee who was so sweet and helpful and the next day the complete opposite. They need to get their act together. Plus the quality of the items has dropped. I usually stick to online ordering to avoid these kind of scenarios. read more

I needed to exchange a pair of pants with no receipt & Wade at J Crew UTC hooked it properly! I needed a specific size of the style of pants I was given (I'm in a wedding) & although they didn't have it at the UTC location, Wade called Fashion Valley & had them hold it for me. He also verified that I'd be able to exchange the pants at no add'l cost. Kudos to you, J CREW--now I can be in my friend's wedding in pants that fit me!! read more
