Sales associates stand around talking while customers are waiting to request a shoe size and there were a few customers visibly hitting on some of the sales staff with no indication that this behavior is not tolerated or acceptable. We witnessesed overt flirting and overheard unprofessional dialogue taking place between one customer and a sales associate. I finally got my shoes and was able to check out and there was a Buy 1, Get 1/2 Off Sale underway. Great deal on all shoes made the stop worthwhile.

But if you want top of the line running shoe, go to a specialty running apparel/shoe store. I do love shopping here as the selection for women is far bigger than the men's. The pricing is fair and the quality is good. That's the reason why I usually come out of here with new shoes.

The store is conveniently located in carmel mountain plaza next to Target. Inside the store has 4 friendly workers. Each of them separately asked if we needed help with anything. Nordstrom Rack in la jolla is a discount retail store located in the shops at la jolla village,…read moreoffering a wide selection of name brand clothing, shoes, and accessories. Pros: This is a solid spot for finding discounted name brand items if you are willing to look through the racks. There is a decent variety of clothing, shoes, bags, and accessories, and you can sometimes find really good deals depending on timing. The store is organized by section, which makes it easier to browse compared to some other discount stores. It is also in a large shopping center, so it is convenient to pair with other errands or food stops nearby. Staff are usually helpful when you need assistance with locked items or sizing, and checkout is generally quick even when it is busy. Cons: The biggest issue is inconsistency. Some visits have great finds, while other times the selection feels picked over or limited. It also gets very crowded, especially on weekends or during sales, which can make shopping feel a bit hectic. Parking can also be annoying during peak hours since the plaza is shared with many other stores. Verdict: Overall, this is a reliable place for discounted shopping if you are patient and go at the right time. Weekdays or off peak hours are usually the best for selection and a smoother experience.

The store is located in a nice shopping center with several other businesses nearby, including ice cream shops and other retail stores. This Nordstrom Rack is quite large and has a great selection. I especially loved browsing the home decor section and candles. I found a Sand + Fog candle that was 50% off, which was such a great find. They also carry a lot of smaller items and travel-sized products. My boyfriend picked up a few items, and we noticed a lot of merchandise from brands like TravisMathew at significant discounts. There are definitely plenty of high-end brands available at great prices. They also have an impressive shoe selection. Overall, I really enjoy shopping at Nordstrom Rack because there are always amazing deals on quality brands. The staff was friendly, the store was clean and organized, and the shopping experience was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

The sizing is way off and had to try several items to just find my right size, as it's not consistent with the labeling across different designs. And then comes this sweet girl to help me out. She would grab sizes for me I wasn't asking for BUT she knew what size I needed and this is great as it shows product knowledge. However the bummer part was that a lot of the colors I wanted they didnt have in store in the size I was looking for and unfortunately it seems to be the case online as well. Nonetheless it was a good shopping experience, and felt that customer service was great. Even my mom picked something out. Alo doesn't offer military discount and probably should. They do have a point system for your purchases which you can redeem for freebies similar to what Sephora offers. For the stuff they didn't have at the store I went online searching for it and found a lot more items that the store doesn't carry, so I loaded up my cart with more stuff. Being in San Diego it doesn't get THAT cold and the store carried a lot of super winter style coats which I think perhaps the store should carry some more light weight jackets that are on their website. The quality is good and pricing goes along with it. I only gave it 4 stars because of sizing limitations, they were either too small or too large for the most part so it made it hard to shop for more

They did not greet me which is fine. I approached them and one of the ladies (short and stout) stared me up and down twice and gave a nonchalant "can I help you?" There was no "hi" or "welcome" I told them I needed to do an exchange and they paused as if I was interrupting their convo and asked what I was exchanging. The same lady continued to look me up and down. I let them know the items and they looked up the scanner for the items and it took them forever without any updates. So I proceeded to peruse the store. They gave me only 1 item and I had 3 to exchange for a better size. I tried it on and the fitting room worker (Taylor) was super nice and helped me. I waited and continued to shop. After a few minutes I went up to the same lady and she stared me up and down again. I asked "did the other items ever come up on the scanner with my size?" She said defensively, "yea, I saw her grab it and we gave it to you." I told her, "no, I didn't get them." She said "well, I saw her get them."The gentlemen worker next to her took the step to actually help me and we walked to the fitting room and there was only 1 piece. Was still waiting for the remaining piece. So I was like whatever and got different pieces and tried them on instead. Went to the front, cash register lady was so grumpy, no smile. She told me to pull up my order number and I gave it to her. She responds with a grumpy accusatory voice, " this order number is a wrong number." I told her I'm exchanging the pieces I brought in. She looked dumbfounded. Then she realized why she asked me for the order number in the first place. Transaction done. I said "thanks for your help." She says sarcastically and looking down, "yea. my pleasure." I will mostly likely stick to online purchases given the lack of quality customer service the store provides. There were at least 5-6 workers and I was 1 of 2 customers. Not sure what they were working on that kept them from helping me kindly. I see now why the store has overall poor customer service reviews with the exception of Taylor. She should manage that store. Alo La Jolla store, please do better.
