She was in the hospital for 10 days and actually had to wait an extra three days for Dr. Turner to return from a conference, as the hospital would not trust anyone else to perform the surgery, so we waited. It is amazing! I used TMJ mouth guards, underwent surgery for discs in my jaw and used botox on the muscles in my head, but these treatments did not relieve my pain or allow me to open my mouth beyond 1/3 of the normal range.
