He's definitely the ankle & foot DOCTOR to see :) & he has great bedside manners. Took his time with my son & made sure to answer all questions & gave so much detailed information about the injury & my sons options. His office is located right behind Honors Health Shea Hospital off 91st. Great location, plenty of parking, easy to get to and great staff. We were greeted by a warm assistant that checked us in and then Shane took my sons X-rays & escorted us into the room to meet with Dr Nassar. I want to give a BIG shout out to Shane who took great care of my son through the whole office experience... great attitude, and full of lots of knowledge. We were able to schedule with Dr Nassar for the achilles surgery, but I tell you this doctor is booked, so if your in need of an orthopedic foot/ankle doctor give him a call and get in there. I unfortunately broke my wrist recently (again) and decided to come back to Dr. Guidera (I have…read morebeen here for two surgeries and haven't had any issues until now). To say the least, that was a mistake. They left me with a $230 bill for a 15 minute visit, X-rays, and a splint that I could've bought at Walgreens for $10. Not to mention, I already had an identical splint on when I walked in. To be fair, I asked for the new splint hoping it'd be better than what I had. It was worse, and came with a price tag of over $100. Guidera and his PA told me the X-rays they JUST took weren't good enough and recommended that I get a CT scan done. He made a surprised/disgusted face when I sighed and looked down when he said I may need surgery. Sorry, I don't want to spend thousands more on my wrist if I don't absolutely have to... Anyways, after Guidera reviewed the CAT scan, his office informed me that I 'definitely' needed surgery and referred me to another hand surgeon since Guidera was unable to operate on anyone for 4 weeks due to his own surgery/injury. Well, that doctor said I did not need surgery and put me in a cast. Bottom line: Stay away from this office. They will nickle and dime you.

Terrible communication--an uneasy feeling of broken trust. It felt like anything that didn't fit…read morewith his "assembly-line" approach wasn't welcome--he said the head of my femur was broken off, and I needed surgery urgently but then sent me home for almost 2 weeks before admitting me; meantime, I was disabled/in constant pain. I only saw him personally for initial consult, at which he interrupted me and left room while I was asking questions--and then saw him for about 30 seconds while in preop just prior to surgery and again in postop for about 30 seconds immediately after. There was no other contact with him after surgery, although I was hospitalized. He did not appear for first postop office visit either, which they scheduled with his surgical assistant. At that visit, 6 WEEKS AFTER SURGERY, I was told he had found bacteria DURING surgery and they urgently wanted me to see Infectious Disease doctor now. No explanation as to why I wasn't told this at time of surgery, why referral to specialist wasn't made while I was in hospital, or why no mention of it whatsoever was in op report. (Or for that matter, why he did not see me himself to explain.) Furthermore, the antibiotic prescription given to me (finally) at 6 weeks after surgery had completely wrong RX instructions on the label--directions said "Take 4 by capsules by mouth 1 hour before procedure." I had to call office and ask how they actually intended for me to take the antibiotic--at 6 weeks postop. I gave him 2 stars instead of 1 star because I believe, despite all of the above, he did a good technical job on total hip replacement surgery, as I am in less pain and function appears good after PT/OT assistance.

They are kind, professional and knowledgeable. They address my concerns at each visit. Before AOC I had previously been to several Otolaryngology offices and received poor treatment from either the ENT or Audiologist. I will continue my care at AOC. I highly recommend AOC to family and friends. The front office staff is very efficient.

When I saw this doctor, he assured me I would have a 99% improvement in my pre surgical symptoms…read more Not 100%, but surely 99%. His resident looked surprised that he had made the statement. On surgery day, a few minutes prior to surgery, the doctor changed the manner in which the surgery would be performed. Saying it was a better approach. Later I found out, "it" was not. Since I was under anesthesia, I am uncertain what the doctor, and/or his resident, did or how the snafu was orchestrated, but my bowel was sewn way up under my bladder with 4 stitches on either side, causing a closed loop small bowel obstruction. After surgery, I was in terrible pain, and I have a high pain tolerance. I knew something was wrong, but only the resident came to see me and gave me pain meds to block the pain, but never assessed what was causing the pain. The doctor never came to see me after surgery. The resident was not as nice as he had been prior to surgery. I was at a friend's house in Phoenix, I called the office, described that I was still having terrible pain, and was told "take your pain meds. that's what they are for". For several weeks, I informed the doctor and his office that I was in terrible pain and had a myriad of symptoms. The doctor assured me I was fine. I saw the doctor at two weeks post op. I told him I could not stand with out urinating on myself, no bowel movement since the surgery and I was in constant pain. I discussed all of my symptoms, which later I found out he never noted in my chart. I telephoned him regularly, as he gave me his personal cell phone number. He suggested I call him and not the office. He stated he would reassess me at 6 weeks post surgery and "that" would be my "new normal". I never got there, I had excruciating pain, and started vomiting bowel particles through my mouth. I called the doctor and he said it was just constipation and to take magnesium citrate. My post op care was non-existing. Long story short, I had to have a bowel resection due to the closed loop bowel obstruction. It took me years to recover my health. I still am not the same as before. Due to the "good ole boy system, It is was impossible to hold this doctor responsible for his actions.

Although Dr. Stone is a good doctor, his staff is horrible. They treat you like a number, they don't care , they don't listen to your concerns. Most of his staff are young girls that are on a power trip that have no idea how to communicate or talk to people. I got a lot of red flags that I chose to ignore first being I had made an appointment three or four weeks out because that was their soonest appointment. I called two days later mind you still weeks in advance to change the appointment to a different day and the girl that answered said she was going to have to put me on a hole to see if Dr. Stone wanted to see me anymore because I had changed an appointment. That was my first red flag. I should've ran so fast, but I didn't. I kept trusting that they will pull through for me with this horrible medical problem I had. I was basically desperate To get help, but I have now learned that no one has to put up with that kind of treatment and I will never succumb to any doctors office that treats you like shit. And what sad is a lot of doctors don't even know what their staff is telling their patients and They're just on these power And control trips. Especially D, Dr Stones medical assistant Debbie and Jessica. They treat every case the same. Although I have organs hanging out of me , they gave me such a hard time with my disability and medical leave from work. Staff discounted every thing I said, acted like it was no emergency. Try to say all I had was a little urinary incontinence when my cervix and bladder were and still are sticking out 4 inches outside of my body. I've been in such pain and called in sick to work and they had the nerve To ask me who told me to call in sick when I can't even sit without being in terrible pain. I had surgery scheduled and now I have to start over with my new doctor and they have made me have to postpone this very much needed surgery along with Jeopardizing my reputation at my job and jeopardizing my state disability. I have a very strenuous job and lift 50 pounds on a daily basis, but they didn't care. They acted like I was trying to take time off of work for no reason. Staff is very demeaning, rude and sarcastic. In this type of practice, Dr should really have educated staff that know how to talk to people, especially in this field . They literally made me cry four different times after hanging up with them. They kept changing their stories and just ganging up on you like bullies in grade school. Pretty pathetic so I've now gone to a different Doctor Who is amazing and his whole staff treats you with respect and listens to your concerns and actually cares. Steer clear of this practice because you will be terribly disappointed and frustrated your choice. If anyone decides to go with Dr. Stone's office, you will be pretty much on your own with no help from his staff. If you have complications or questions you might as well forget about telling them because they'll just poo poo your symptoms and act like you're insane. I don't think anybody wants or expects to be treated that way. I recorded every single phone call and I suggest anybody that may be going to them do the same. They just couldn't comprehend the simple fact that I work out of California, but live in Arizona and I've been paying in interstate disability for years and it's there for me to use in these situations. They kept saying that it was Fmla and it was Social Security disability and then jessica had the nerve to say sarcastically "well we're not in California, we're in Arizona. " Literally talk to me like I was a five-year-old. It was maddening There are Many better urogynecology practices. Don't make the mistake that I made. And also read the reviews. There are a-lot about his incompetent, uncaring staff even one says it's like his staff are sleepwalking through their jobs. Beware . Very sad situation. If anyone else has had any similar situations with Valley Urogynocology specialists, please do a review . Here is just one of many bad reviews about the staff. There are many more check, yelp, and Google and all the review avenues.

He explains in detail what he plans to do before surgery and is patient, kind and caring. When someone suggested I get a second opinion before the surgery, the doctor I called said "he's a better surgeon than I am! He trained me and half of the Valley. You won't find a better surgeon!" Although my arm was very painful by its nature, it healed well and I was delighted to regain the use of my arm as much as possible. I'm very glad I found him!
