I am in need of a surgery. The first time I came here was at…read more8:10am a couple days ago. I figured I would just walk in and make an appointment since it's literally right across the street from my neighborhood. There was a lady outside who I asked what time they opened and she said 8:00. So I came in and the lady from outside was now behind the counter. I believe her name was Cece. I asked if I could make an appointment for a surgery evaluation, and she said, "oh we don't make appointments in person, you have to call" I feel like she was either having a bad morning and I thought she was kinda rude so I just left. I went and got in my car and contemplated calling for an appointment or just finding a different spot because of the treatment I received. But all of a sudden, there she was standing at my passenger door telling me she could get me an appointment. Her entire attitude had changed and she became much more pleasant. She said the person that normally sets appointments was not there yet but she wanted to get me taken care of anyway. I don't know if the correct person wasn't there or if Cece WAS the correct person, and quite honestly, I didn't and I don't care. The fact that she did a course correction and changed up her entire demeanor to be very nice and friendly was amazing in my opinion and I appreciated it. She took what could have been a bad day and turned it into a great one. So far this has been my interaction here but I have my appointment today (why I checked in, lol) so I will let you know how it goes from here.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tahir Surgical Center in Mesa. I had an urgent and…read moreincredibly painful situation last Monday and initially called urgent care, who referred me here. I called Tahir Surgical Center last minute, not knowing what to expect, and was immediately welcomed by the most compassionate and understanding staff member. She truly listened, understood the pain I was in, and personally reached out to Dr. Tahir to see if I could be squeezed in. Despite it being a holiday week, being short-staffed, and already busy (as emergencies always seem to happen at the worst times), Dr. Tahir agreed to see me the very same day. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly, caring staff who made me feel comfortable and reassured. Dr. Tahir was kind, attentive, and efficient, and he promptly took me to the surgical room where I underwent an urgent procedure that, while unexpected, was absolutely necessary. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Tahir and his entire team for going above and beyond to care for me on such short notice. Their compassion, professionalism, and willingness to help during a stressful and painful time truly meant everything to me. I highly recommend Tahir Surgical Center to anyone in need of exceptional care.

(0 stars if I could) PLEASE! read my review on this place before choosing it. I was referred to…read moreTahirs through workman's comp for a hernia so I had no choice, but good lord I would have NEVER chosen this place after going through this. Dr. Tahir does not care about patients pain and has zero personability. He made me feel stupid for every question I asked. After my initial surgery they sent me home with an open wound that they forgot to glue, I sent him pictures but he shut down the idea that it could be open because of course he did the surgery. I called about the pain meds not helping and asked for some different meds like ibuprofen and they never called me back. Now the worst part, I had to call the office after 4 weeks to extend my work restrictions because I was not ready to jump back into working like he said I was, when I got there I showed him my incision scabs, he proceeds to lay me down and grabs tools, I say "is this gonna hurt?" He replies back with a snooty attitude "it won't hurt me" then Dr. Tahir proceeds to rips off my scabs from my incision sights that weren't fully healed, re-opening them, he then poked a hole in my of my incisions with the wood tip of a cotton swab stick, when I tell you the amount of shock and pain I was in, it honestly felt like I was getting tortured it did not feel right. He never told me how to proceed with working out, like easing into it or anything, I expressed pain I was still having and he just said to get an ultrasound in 3 months if I'm still dealing with the pain. You're basically on your own after the surgery, this man will not make you feel comfortable or confident in recovery whatsoever. I don't wish anyone to go to this man and I will never step foot in that building again. This isn't me being dramatic either, I'm shocked how this all played out and honestly makes me not trust anything in the medical field more than I already didn't.
