Months after bookmarking this regional mini-chain, I finally visited for lunch. I'm glad I did. Ordering here is at the counter. After taking a seat at whatever table you choose, a runner delivers your food. The atmosphere here is airy and roomy. It's clean too. The food here is quite satisfying. My wife was in awe of her chicken salad sandwich. In fact, Mia's uses candied pecans, which apparently give the chicken salad a nice boost. I'm more of a home cooking guy, and I ordered the chicken fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. I'm almost sure they use a tenderized club steak here, and that's fairly standard. But they do a nice job with it, considering no knife is required. The jalapeño gravy is also tasty -- with a tiny bit of spicy bite. The green beans are akin to something most southerners would enjoy at a family reunion: cooked down to a soft consistency with plenty of smoked pork and onion flavor. The mashed potatoes might just be the best I've ever had at a restaurant ... creamy like whipped butter. If I have a bitch about this place, it's the whole advanced tipping thing. (I've noticed more and more restaurants leaning this way.) Why would you ask for a gratuity in advance? Furthermore, why would any reasonable patron offer one? I prefer cash on the table as I'm readying to leave the place. It just makes more sense. We'll be back here for sure. Mia's does an excellent job. read more

Mia's does offer Burgers and Seafood. It is a little confusing ordering as you enter but the restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere more like a small town restaurant. On multiple visits we have ordered burgers. They come out cooked medium. For reading it was part of Johnny Carrabbas, I am surprised from multiple visits most staff does not smile (in my opinion and most everything seems rigid). We like the restaurant's food. It is a great late lunch spot. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants for good old American food. EVERYTHING here is delicious. Even the sides are all delicious. My favorite items are the meat loaf, chicken fried steak with jalepenos gravy, and the ribs. The green beans, mac and cheese, potato salad are also very good read more

If you don't know about Ms Mia hunny then you are missing out. This is some good old fashion southern cooking. That jalapeño gravy is EVERYTHING! I can't try the other things on the menu because every time I go I can't get away from ordering the chicken fried chicken with jalapeño gravy. There are several locations and this one is my favorite. Best chicken fried chicken! The jalapeño gravy had a nice kick but wasn't spicy. The chicken fried steak was very tender and well seasoned. All sides were good. We came on a weekday around 1pm and there wasn't a wait . Food came out super fast. We didn't try them but there's a good variety of milkshakes and desserts. My first time here was wonderful. We decided to try the cheeseburger with fries and onion rings. We also grabbed a side of green beans and baked beans. My sister and husband got fried chicken and started with the queso with meat and chips. The cheeseburger was so good and cooked perfectly. The vegetables on the burger were so fresh and tasty. Now the green beans were amazing!! Wow. The baked beans were so good, I wish I could buy some. The queso was so good and full of cheeses and meat. Awesome. The fried chicken was so fresh and crunchy: Here is our one issue. The fries and onion rings came out cold as ice and not good. We asked the server to recook them, he looked at me like I was asking for free food. He finally brought out some fresh ones and it was awesome!! I will definitely be back!! So good!! read more

Mia's Table in Webster for the big WIN!!! We appreciate how this amazing restaurant and every employee accommodated us. It was our emergency and yet they made room for the 50 in our party. From the young lady at the register to Jas, OMG, they did their best. We all sat and had our wonderful tasting food. We had reservations at Vida Marisco but due to a power outage we could not eat there. I then called the area Pappas restaurants and neither of the 3 could accommodate us. Was recommended to this place by my brother in law. First off everyone was super friendly from beginning to end, my wife and I was greeted as we entered by the young lady taking our order at the front entrance. She was very helpful and knew all the answers to our questions about the menu. I ordered the chicken fried steak and she had the grilled pork chops and the food came out hot, fresh and delicious. If you're craving southern comfort food I'd recommend this place if you're around Bay Area! read more

I came here with my parents. You order at the counter and there was no wait which was nice! I got the green goddess salad with salmon, was delicious a little bit to much dressing for me I may ask for it on the side next time but it was fresh and yummy! My mom got the chicken salad sandwhich with sweet potato fries also amazing! My dad got the burger and regular fries he liked it but wasn't the best burger and fries he's ever had. They have free ice cream which is always a plus but it was strangely grainy in my opinion. read more

Nice place, clean and very attentive staff. I enjoyed the outdoor patio since the inside was way too cold for me. This place is a bit pricey for the amount of food you receive. $18 gets you three small butterflied shrimp and three small strips of catfish, two onion rings, cocktail sauce and tartar sauce, and a Texas toast slice. Fries come with it unless you want to substitute but I'm not sure if you pay more. I ordered a side of fruit and a side of creamed corn which I didn't care for and a sweet tea and it came out to $35 dollars. Pappadeaux prices but not Pappadeaux quality or quantity. Just wanted to give it a try but I won't make a special trip for it. A banana pudding I believe was about $5, I didn't try it but a bit much. You do get a free self serve ice cream cone if you want though. read more

What a great find for the family. Different concept of ordering a real meal and then bringing it to your table. Great food and atmosphere for the family (especially big with kids). Ordered curbside, food was ready as requested! Friendly staff person who brought out the food! I got ribs were great, nice serving and the side beans were great!! I am from a small town ,Bastrop Texas about 30 miles out of Austin Texas . I visit my son often in Friendswood. We don't have a Mia's table , but would be a great addition to our small town !! Came here on a whim because my boyfriend really wanted to try it and see what it was about. I've been here before and I didn't think much of it, but that was probably because I had a bad experience the last time I came here. I decided to give it a try again and I was not disappointed this time around. It gets pretty busy. But I think the wait is worth it especially considering the food is so yummy and the portions are huge. The restaurant is very country style themed. They were playing some great bangers and I love the red plaid table tops and the old diner style themed bar. Upon entering, you order at the front, and they give you a number/tracking device to bring to an empty table that you choose. Their menu is extensive and has something for everyone. There's some delicious sides to complement the main meal, which I equally enjoyed just as much. My boyfriend ordered the country fried chicken smothered in delicious sawmill gravy with a side of green beans and bacon and mashed potatoes. I ordered the bbq pork ribs (they don't come in a half portion I think, so I got an entire rack) with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The drinks were also delicious and refreshing to go well with the meals. We got the passion fruit and orange drink. It was sweet, but it wasn't too crazy sweet. It was the perfect amount. I actually ended up eating my entire meal and I was relatively surprised at how creamy and delicious the Mac and cheese was. It was plain and simple, nothing crazy added in, but that's what I enjoyed the most. The ribs were wonderful too. It wasn't anything like fall off the bone. You still had to work and get messy eating the meat off the bones, but that's the true beauty of eating good ribs. It was the definition of "finger licking lip smacking" good! Highly recommend it. I didn't order dessert but they do offer free soft serve ice cream near the exit if you're in the mood for it. I didn't get a chance to eat any, as I was just so incredibly full already. But there will definitely be a next time. I'm glad I was able to give this place another chance and am looking forward to coming back! read more

I could sit at Mia's Table every day it's so damn good. Country cookin for real. First time there. Been trying to get to this restaurant since it opened. Finally, some friends of mine thought it would be great to dine there. The concept reminds me of Rudy's BBQ. You order in the front but they bring you the food to your table. Flatware, napkins and condiments are on you. I love that they have a Sunday and ice cream bar. That's so great. I ordered the famous Chicken Fried Steak with Mash Potatoes gravy and black eyed peas. Just roll me out there please. So good. I was not able to finish my plate but it made for a great lunch the next day. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Thank you. I look forward to coming back to Mia's again soon. Lots of parking spaces and the restaurant itself is super bright, colorful and full of good energy. Forks Up!!! read more

I'm sorry, but I review all the restaurants I visit., Mia s was not what I was hoping for. I got the half chicken with dry rub, my wife got steak salad...I ate it but not impressed!! Rudy's half chicken better in my book. I'm retired and not a tight wad, but why do a lot of businesses ask for a tip when they don't do anything??? I went and tried it. 37.00 later...atmosphere was nice. read more

Mia's Table exceeded our expectations! We ordered their chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken, extra jalapeno cream gravy of course, and sides of mac n cheese and coleslaw. Their bison burger, all the classic toppings, crispy fries on the side. And last but not least their grilled chicken sandwich that had the most delicious sun-dried tomato pesto spread and sweet potato fries. Finish things off with a complimentary cup or cone of their creamy vanilla soft serve, and anyone will have thoroughly enjoyed their meal here! My only complaint being that the prices are a little high especially for it being counter service. But all the workers were quite friendly so it makes up for it a little. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu! read more

Meatloaf wasn't great for being homemade. My 1st time here. Not sure if I will go back. Poor guy who delivered our food didn't know to look at the number on ticket or the # in front of us. Meet the Business Owner: Johnny C.

Proudly born and raised in the East End of Houston, Texas, Johnny Carrabba III was raised in his parent's family-owned grocery store, Carrabba's Friendly Grocery, and attended St. Thomas High School. In 1986, Johnny opened The Original Carrabba's on Kirby Drive. The second location on South Voss Road opened its doors in 1988. In 1993, Outback Steakhouse created a joint venture partnership consequently opening over 250 Carrabba's Italian Grill Restaurants nationwide. Johnny and his family continue to own and operate the two original Carrabba's locations. In 2012, the family's new fast-casual concept, Mia's, opened one block behind the Original Carrabba's on Kirby. In 2014, Grace's, affectionately named after Johnny's grandmother, Grace Mandola, opened its doors forging the fourth family-owned and operated restaurant for the Carrabba family.

The chicken I had was extremely tender and juicy, and the gravy had the perfect amount of sweet and salty where I just gobbled it down with everything. The vibe is nice and homey and overall this place was just great. It for sure isn't someplace you can rush through in 30 minutes, but that kinda adds to the experience that you get the minute you walk in.

The belly wasn't fatty and greasy (thank goodness) this is a must have. Pork ribs combo with chicken- chicken was cooked well but kind of bland. All the seasoning and flavor was on the skin of the chicken. The smoked pork was wonderful the flavor was actually in the ribs and really juicy. I got it with the green beans and carrots and they are great. I like how the carrots are cooked well enough where it's not mushy but has some firmness and the beans also has a nice flavor with an oil that I can't get my tongue wrapped around but it's really good. Now to my server Kyaana- she was FANTASTIC very friendly and polite. Checked up on us numerous times which I really appreciated. Best part, we said that we would share the pork Combo we ordered and she actually had it separated on 2 plates so we both won't have to be sharing from one.
