Why... Food was great! Service was great... Group of 10 but we split the bill I Had the chimichanga plate, They told me the cook made the wrong order for me or something, but They sorted it out and I still finished before the rest of my group so good!!! My bill was $58.86 I left a tip of $20 cash only to have them charge my card $70.66 anyways? That's a $12 tip on top of what I left! WTF???? Just left Mi Pueblo in Cotati, and man have they been bust. The place looks awesome! New carved and decorated tables. New carved chairs. Great lighting, and new paint too! But same great food. My wife had ceviche and there was so much fish you couldn't even see the tostada. The flavor was amazing with just the right amount of jalepinos. I had the Chicken Tostada soup. The vegetables were cooked firm and not over cooked. Tons of chicken and a huge portion too. Delicious! On top of all that, we had great attentive service. Do you like Mexican food? So looking at the past reviews, I think I am furthest away in the SF Bay area to review this venue. I came here cause I wanted some Mexican food. My cousin that lives nearby said lets come to Mi Pueblo" so that is how we landed. The waitress was very nice, friendly, professional and attentive. All the staff was as well. We ordered combination plates which were great. Interesting on my chile relleno was a sort of like chicken type of gravy. That was a first, but it was not bad by no means. After all I also order chicken enchiladas. the chips were very good and so was the salsa. We both had beers to accompany our food. All in all, next time I am in the area, I will come here for lunch. This place is terrible, the problem is that I like their food but they consistently fuck up orders. I order them about once a month on door dash and more often than not they get something wrong. This has happened no less than two dozen times, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this. Edit: Juan, I asked for enchilada sauce on top of the burrito, I received house salsa in the bag but no enchilada sauce. A mistake here and there is totally reasonable but all the time is truly frustrating, one time I ordered cheese enchiladas with house salsa on the side (because I had received several orders without any salsa and I don't know anyone who wants Mexican food without salsa) what arrived was two rolled up tortillas without any enchilada sauce at all and house salsa on the side. You cannot explain away these mistakes, staff should be doing a better job of making sure the requests are met. Especially on food that is being picked up or delivered and there is no way to fix it once it's picked up. There have been times I've ordered from the Petaluma Mi Pueblo because I know they will get it right despite the fact that they are further away and I pay more in fees. I've been to this happy hour a few times in the past few weeks and it's amazing. They have $5 house margaritas and delicious food options. We got the super nachos with juicy shredded chicken, flavorful Buffalo wings,and carne asada quesadilla. The bartender was very helpful and makes great drinks. The whole staff overall is very friendly and helpful. The happy hour is in the bar only but that includes their patio area as well. It's 7 days a week 3-7. Give this place a try. read more

We ordered a taco bar for 30 people and everything about it surpassed my expectations! They delivered it to residence in Petaluma, completely set it up with chafing dishes and everything. I went there for dinner this week and they were very busy but the bar only had one couple in there so I decided I would go to the bar to eat dinner. But I think that I would have been better to get a table because the bartender was so busy Taking food out to the patio, pouring drinks and cashing out tabs that it would have been better for me to have went into the restaurant itself. Finally, I was asked what I wanted to drink. I said a glass of water. He then gave me a menu, and as I was looking at the menu, I was brought chips and a bean dip and salsa. No the bean dip in the sauce. It was perfect but what was lacking was the tortilla chips. They had no flavor. They had no salt. They were very crispy to the fact, they weren't the typical type of chips most Mexicans restaurants serve. I think as a owner of a restaurant, the first thing that you serve should be the best of quality because that will set the tone for the rest of the food. I'm not sure what they do to their chips, but they are hard and dry, and very unappetizing. I understand them being slow because it's hard to find workers nowadays so I excuse them for that and all the rest of the food is top quality, Mexican food. So if you're inclined to go and try a different place, I would suggest it to you. But hopefully, they will do something about the chips. read more

We had the steak quesadilla and a salad which was missing the onions, carrots, spinach and dressing that it was suppose to come with the salad.:( We had a margarita and michelada. The michelada was missing the prawn that it comes with the drink.... On a scale of 1 to 10 we rate the drinks a 5. The server should have been checking the plates to make sure the plate included everything on the menu. Management needs to retrain their servers. read more

Normally when I go to Mi pueblo we dine in and receive amazing service and food. Today we ordered takeout and when I came in service was eh. My order was the only order on the table and the 3 people talking up front made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by picking up. Then we got home and checked the food. Absolutely no sauce on my enchilada just big chunks of cheese and dry meat. Very disappointed since I normally adore this restaurant! Looks like dining in is the way to go from now on. read more

I don't know what that is, but it wasn't good food. Why do you put spicy stuff in their without letting us know. My kid can't eat that stuff. When the meat tastes undistinguishable, most people would throw it away. That is what i did. Didn't even have good chips. read more

I went before covid, the food was always delicious & flavorful, but it seems like they re-decorated and have a very beautiful spacious outdoor dining area. We live in the East Bay, and spotted this place driving by as we were running an errand in Rohnert Park. The tent set-up looked safe and we love Mexican food, so we gave it a try. Knocked our socks off! The food was tasty and nicely presented. Margaritas were good and generously poured. The service was genuinely charming if not perfect, but we are living in strange times. If you enjoy cold food, watered down drinks and poor service then this is the place to go. Our enchilada's were served to us cold. We ordered had two pictures of margaritas and could not taste the tequila and several glasses had no effective on us even though we did have a designated driver. Be sure to check your bill carefully since they did over-charge us and even the manager refused to correct it. read more

Honestly doesn't deserve the one star! Awful service, food was cold, and took an hour to come to the table after ordering. When our waitress came to the table to take our order she told us that you need to order now or else you won't get food for a long time. Who does that if you want business! Never checked in with us and even had gratuity when they don't deserve the tip. We never got refills on our water so for the entire meal We all had to slowly drink our water. The restaurant was totally dead only one other table here while we were. Never go to this restaurant ever again! Also added the waitress changed the total on our bill automatically added tip. But after we paid the waitress agreed with us about that it was a suggested tip. It's not suggested when it's marked out and a new total was handwritten and that's what was charged. I met a friend at Mi Pueblo on Mexican Independence Day. The place was packed and quite busy but the staff got us seated at a table real quick. Our waitress came to our table and took order. I was surprised by the responsive service given how busy everything was. We were served our meal and drinks pretty quick. The food was hot and delicious. There was live music, the energy was upbeat and the mood was festive. The staff was friendly and the other guests seemed to have a good ti.e as I did too. Used to be my favorite spot. Great food and usually great service. I went to lunch and ordered a super burrito and a drink. When I got the bill, both prices were inflated from the menu price by $2 each. I asked to talk to the owner...he said it was due to me using a credit card......I told him I used to work as an Account Exucutive for Amex and all charges were 1) not allowed, or 2) would be below the line of charges.....also, maybe 60 cents with transaction fee and discount....the waitress, and cashier were very nervous.....I paid it....but regardless of good food...no one should be cheated.....Also, I asked for a copy of menu to take a picture and he refused. Food is really good, haven't eaten inside just takeout, but atmosphere seems good. Service is quick to help as soon as you walk in.

I have been coming here for awhile and just love their food! And they have an amazing salsa bar! Yesterday I had the camarones con crema which mean shrimp with cream sauce. It was cooked with peppers and the sauce was kind of cheesy too. It was hands down my favorite dish there! Boyfriend had the chile Colorado and that really the reason why we made the trip over to here (from Santa Rosa). It was delicious. :) Note to the owners: the grumpy older gentleman with glasses needs to not be seating people. His rude demeanor is off putting so it's a good thing the food and nice waitresses make up for it! read more

I don't know what has happened here.. Food is good, not great, and your lucky if your server takes your order, much less if you have a question and would like an answer. Our server had to check her list to realize we were even her table after we waited 10 minutes for anyone to show up. 3 things we wanted, they "did not have" (quotation marks because not sure if that was the case or server forgot to ask-just the feeling we got) After we received our entrees, no one checked on us to see if we needed anything or even desert (which we wanted but after the wait decided against it due to potential longer wait). It's not a matter of staffing, as there were staff that appeared available, maybe training or personnel, but, for almost $100 before tip for 2 people??? Lots of complaints from restaurants about drop in revenue, customers, etc. Maybe we are tired of complacency and the expectation that we will tip 20% no matter how bad the service is?? Part of the reason I go out to eat at a sit down is the service, otherwise, I would carry out from a taqueria or taco truck with equal quality for $25 and make my own cocktails.
