Don't bother. There are much better options. I went there yesterday late afternoon with a small group of 6 and we were seated quickly. Sadly, that's the best service we had throughout dinner. While the server came soon afterwards to take our drink orders, it took more than 10 minutes for the water and iced tea to be served. My ice tea was tepid, with just a few small shards of ice. As fate would have it, that was a hint of things to come. It took about another twenty minutes for the food to be delivered, and it's delivery to our table was the first time our server returned since serving the beverages. My regular burrito covered with red sauce must have been sitting out for long time because it was close to room temperature and the red sauce has already developed a very thin film on its surface. The burrito itself was very bland, but moist. We never saw her again at our table until she brought us the check about 15 minutes after we had finished eating, but that "timeliness" was only because a member of our party had to go searching for her. I'm happy for her though, because she did have a delightful, extended time visiting with friends or family seated at the table adjacent to ours, but.... you guessed it.... she never even looked our way to see if we needed or wanted anything. read more

I was very unhappy with my experience at Mi Pueblo. To begin, parking is very limited. You can park at the car wash after 6pm or park down the street and walk. We were seated immediately which was nice, but the service afterwards was extremely slow. I seen our waitress assist another table 3 times before coming to take our drink orders. The drinks and food was also very slow to be brought out. I ordered the 6 taquitos plate which was so disappointing! It's not 6 taquitos, it was 3 cut in half. It was fried is dirty oil and burned. It was so hot when they served it to me, when I bit into one the hot grease squeezed out and burned my lip and fingers. In the end, the waitress took a long time to bring our tab and we were ready to go. We just handed her the card without checking the tab and upon reviewing the receipt we were charged $3 for apple juice that we never ordered! I was going to have them fix it but my boyfriend said it's not worth it. She'd take 30 minutes to come back and fix it. Bad service and bad food. We won't be coming back here. read more

This is an average Mexican restaurant in Rohnert Park/Cotati and it's part of a family owned chain with other locations in Petaluma and elsewhere. The food is good but there is nothing special about it. There are other local Mexican restaurants that serve more authentic food at better prices. The service is good too! This location is relatively bigger than the other two in Petaluma which makes it more comfortable to be at so I prefer to make the drive to this branch instead. If you're ever in the mood for a tasty and good-priced burrito for its size, you won't be disappointed to try the super burrito at any Mi Pueblo. I love the shredded chicken one! read more

Don't bother going here during the virus. Told it would be 30 minutes for 2 salads, showed up 30 minutes later, and the place was packed and the line extended outside, almost to the carwash. No signs or anything on what to do, if this line was for everyone, pickup, or to order? After waiting for 20 minutes in line and it only moved up two people, I finally just left. If it takes another hour, on top of the 30 minutes, to just get my food there is no way that it would still be good. read more

I have been going to this place since they opened. We went there on Monday night 12/13/2021 and had a good meal but the server could not even speak English and had a hard time with my order. Disappointed in the fact that if you gonna take orders you need to speak the language. Also, I was appalled when I got the bill and they now charge for refills of sodas that cost maybe a quarter to refill. I will never go again to this place again! We were never told by the waitress it cost to refill our soda's. $17 dollars for 3 sodas is outrageous! Good bye Mi Pueblo. While service was polite and brisk, I was entirely underwhelmed by the food. Piping hot bean dip and good salsa, served with burned chips. I was assured that while they make the chips fresh daily, they were all over-cooked today, as they do prep in the morning, and no more would be made that day. It was 4pm. We ordered mega burritos. The portion size was good, and my pollo desebrado (shredded chicken) was tasty. Unfortunately the steak in my sweetheart's burrito was overcooked, tough, and in some bites, burned. I love a wet burrito, but sadly the red sauce on the burrito was bland, bland, bland. Think of a slightly thickened chicken broth with a couple spoonfuls of tomato soup for "flavor." Good points? The salsa and bean dip would have been great with good chips. The waitress noticed when I got to the bottom of my water glass, and promptly offered a refill. My wife and I ate there about 3 months ago after returning from Hopsville. I ordered a carnitas chimichanga. What I got was a burrito with cut up cubes of pork. It looks like a place to drink margaritas and eat bar food this may be it but for sit down Mexican dining forget it. read more

I re ordered the food and sat there forever A lady he knew came in 15 min after me and placed an order, they went to look for my order, came back with her food....and walked away without making eye contact with me. I should have left, but I already paid. Mind you he saw I was paying cash, left the drawer open from the last order and used the ten key to add my order without ringing it up in the register, which people do in retail when they skim money instead of making a legit sale. They only looked for my order after I told them it was for lunch and now everyones lunch was over , and why did they give their friend food before mine and I was there way before she ordered The food was crap. Nachos packed heavy with mostly chips and beans. Not worth almost 40.00 for two nachos (95%beans and chips) and one plain quesadilla. I also tipped them as if I was dining in. So although the service was sh*t and so was the food, they made out like bandits . I will NEVER eat here again. They have no decency or regard for their sh*t service. Another Mi Pueblo is... well... redundant. But, seeing as I'm attending nearby SSU, it's also convenient. Now, once a week, I have a place to go, where I kick back and relax with my colleagues and cohorts, and de-stress from all the craziness of graduate school. Granted, the facilities are kind of old (the building once housed another Mexican restaurant and channels an overdone old school faux-Mexican kind of architecture) and the service is kind of slow (which can hopefully be attributed to working out the kinks of a new location) but it's Mi Pueblo. Essentially what that means is Happy Hour. $3 margaritas in fact. And while other nearby places have Happy Hour, they don't have margaritas. Which you sometimes just need a little more than you need beer. And although they don't taste like they have much tequila in them, I drank three of them and I definitely was feeling good. First time there for lunch. Great customer service, except not filling the chips, and the food was really good. The warm beans and salsa to start out with was yummy. It's obvious this is a place that cares as the response to the review. This is another reason why this will be our new go to place for good food and good friendly service. Cotati location- We just walked out of this place due to a lack of service. It's a Tuesday with only 2 other customers in the restaurant. We walked in and they were not friendly AT ALL and after sitting there for 10-12 mins and a basket of chips gone we still hadn't seen our waiter and hadn't even ordered drinks! We got up and left. We never have a problem with the Petaluma location. Unfortunately this place is polar opposite. I really like Mi Pueblo Rohnert Park because they serve consistently good food and great sized portions at very reasonable prices. The restaurant is a comfortable, low-key place to sit and relax with friends over a good meal. My modus operandi when coming here is left-overs. I never am able to eat an entire serving, even though I can eat a LOT, so I always have left-overs, and look forward to enjoying them throughout the week. Last week it was the Sample Plate. Nachos with guacamole, taquitos and flautas over which I sprinkled some freshly chopped jalapenos. Delicious! And a VERY large portion which could easily serve three or four people. Left-overs came home with me, and I had four more good-sized meals during the next couple of days. Another of my favorites is the Padre Macho Burrito with either pollo asada (grilled chicken) or steak - easy on the sauce (they can be heavy-handed which makes left-overs a soggy mess). From one of those, I can easily get seven meals after the one I eat at the restaurant (how's that for value!). No matter what you order, you will get an excellent bang for your buck. Hubby and I never sit in the dining area. The chairs are faux wicker and, because of their design, they compress when an adult foodie sits on them. Since Hubby is 6'-1" and not precisely sveldt, he feels as if his knees are at chin level. THAT is the one complaint I have about the Rohnert Park restaurant - the dining room chairs. Which is why you'll always find my hairy-self and my hubby in the bar, at one of the high-tops. For the rest - we like the beer selection with Racer 5 and Sierra Nevada being our go-tos. The margaritas are good. Not the best I've ever had, but reliably good. Plenty of chips and salsa. If you run out while you're perusing the menu, ask for more. If you want to try different flavors, they have a refrigerated salsa bar in the lobby. If you like good, basic, flavorful Mexican food, do yourself a favor, stop in and try it. read more

Me and my family of six came to this restaurant for Cinco de Mayo and it was a good experience. the food was good and came in a timely fashion. They had an Elvis impersonator singing which was very interesting. I did feel like the wait staff had a very hard time handling the amount of people that were there, the System they have set up for seating is not really a efficient system you have to write your name on a piece of paper and then somebody but you have to find the notepad before you can put your name on the list which might work if there's only a few people in the restaurant but when there's a couple hundred it makes it very difficult. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful and the people there are very friendly. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my vegetarian burrito. There was just too much sour cream and not enough beans. I love Mi Pueblo's beans too so that was a bummer. I've been to the Petaluma & Novato location and have enjoyed those burritos but the only difference today is I ordered to go instead of eating there. I was picking up my car in Cotati so I figured I'd go to this location today but unfortunately they weren't as good as the others. Great value, decent size portions. Not a fan of paper straws, and would have preferred the lemon on the side of the water vice in it. This is the first time with this restaurant and I am so upset with them. My order was supposed to be ready at 4:26 pm but when I got there I am told it was not ready. It is ok to wait. It is understandable that it was mothers day. But I had to wait 1 hour. My order was handed in at 5:22 pm. There was an apology of course with tapping on my shoulder. I understand that too but I was expecting an explanation because everybody got their order but me, even the people who came after me. Dined here the other night with a friend and would say the food was pretty good. We split an chili relleno, on chicken enchilada and an order of mix beef and chicken fajitas. Fajitas were really yummy along with the roasted veggies. The chili relleno was a little soggy for my liking, but the chicken enchilada was pretty good as well.
