I had a very bad experience in this place the waiter who was serving us "Lupe" was a disaster. He was very unprofessional, rude and sooo disrespectful. (he pointed me to the restrooms with his foot) My wife and I traveled 3,000 miles to visit family here. My sister in-law recommended this place and they were very embarrassed for us as they are residents here. I hope the owner put his business over poor service from family. read more

This place is our go to restaurant in town, way better food than the other two spots in town. Always have good service, the salsa is amazing. Always easy to get in and out of and quick turn around even when busy. I find myself here almost every time we think about going out and don't want to spend $100 for 2 on dinner. I would not go to mi Jalisco in keene... they are sneaky and will charge you without telling you. I specifically asked my waiter if toppings on tacos would cost anything he said no... my receipt add 1.00 for each thing... $5 total. I then ordered the shrimp tacos... menu says $12.99 and was charged 13.99. They said prices raised in the computer system but it would be to much to update the menus... My partner and I had dinner last night at the New Mi Jalisco in Keene. Having had many tasty meals at the Milford Mi Jalisco, we have been anticipating the opening of this restaurant. The restaurant was beginning to fill at 6:15 pm, however we were welcomed and seated in a comfortable booth right away. As soon as we had settled in, our server brought us a basket of fresh, warm tortilla chips and some of Jalisco's delicious salsa. We also ordered guacamole, a Cuervo Gold Margarita and a Dos Equis Amber beer. These were delivered quickly to the table. The guacamole was fresh and tasty. I liked the Margarita very much. I enjoyed a chicken tostada and a pork taco, with rice and beans--generous proportions (I brought the tostada home and look forward to eating it for lunch today!). My partner ordered a mushroom quesadilla and a bean tostada, served with rice--he liked both very much. The food here is fresh and yummy. The menu at Mi Jalisco has something for everyone and we will put the new Mi Jalisco on our list of favorites. In our opinion it significantly bests the Mexican options in Keene. read more

We had lunch at Mi Jalisco yesterday because of all the great reviews. Eh, um. Yeah. I don't know what was going on, but we certainly did NOT have a wonderful experience. The service was fine, although, since there was only one other table in the restaurant when we were seated, it would have been nice for the food-covered empty tables to be bussed rather than left to sit with dirty plates and glasses (and a plastic bustub) right next to us. But, it was the food that really was the issue. I ordered the crab enchiladas. DO NOT ORDER THE CRAB ENCHILADAS. They are not crab, but made with that fake stuff made from processed whitefish and pink food dye.That's bad enough, but then they seemed microwaved. The "crab" was the texture of a smooth sponge and the corn tortillas in which it was wrapped felt like softened cardboard. The dish was totally inedible. My husband got vegetable enchiladas, an assortment of four, each different. They were "meh" at best, although still far better than the crab enchiladas. I also had ordered a chile relleno, and it too was meh. I've had much, much better. Keene's not exactly the Mexican food mecca of the country, but there are better places in Keene. We should have gone downtown ... a few blocks would have taken us to a much better lunch. We won't be back to Mi Jalisco. read more

We usually Love Mi Jalisco But tonight it was Awful!! I believe our waitress was Isabel and she was Very Unfriendly.. She acted like we was bothering her when ever we asked for anything and She Never came back after we got our food to find out if everything was ok or if we needed anything. The onions that came with the chicken Kabobs was Raw and I usually love that dish. My boyfriend and I was very disappointed in the service and the food tonight and we won't be back for a long time. Keene, you have come a long way indeed(!) Who would have thought you could hold three Mexican-styled restaurants, with Mi Jalisco being arguably one of the fresher-tasting ones to date? Veronica and I ate here earlier tonight to celebrate my birthday, and after eating so-so Mexican food in town, we thought, "Why not try the new place in West Street Plaza?" This might have proven one of the wiser food decisions we've made, alongside the biweekly trips to Charcoal Charlie's barbecue. They serve up a smooth, if not somewhat potent, Mi Jalisco margarita that if you appreciate and/or love tequila, will rock your taste buds. Afterwards, I ate a Vallarta main course of chicken, shrimp, and scallops prepared in a pineapple glaze salsa which balanced well with the guacamole, rice, and salad on my plate. Veronica's "Camarones de Mojo" offered tasty-doused shrimp with tortillas and well-textured refried beans. For a New Hampshire Mexican restaurant, this really lifts my hopes for more fresh, ethnic food in town. It might not be Santa Fean, but I might ask my New Mexico-based friends to check it out. read more

Just visited this restaurant for the very first time intrigued by its authentic name an given the mediocre food options in the general area. I was really pleasantly surprised by the service, atmosphere and quality of the food. The food is very flavorful and authentic. I am South American and the base of the seasoning and the rice tasted like something my grandmother would have made. It's not bland like most other places are. My only complaint is that the portions are huge! I wouldn't have minded getting about half the amount of food I got but I'm used to eating small portions. Service was fast! The food was FANTASTIC I got the green chicken my husband had the enchilada lunch special and our friends say the Texanas fajita are superb. The price point was fantastic as well for such great quality! The food is good, some of the prices are a little much for what they provide. The staff is very quick and takes care of you, there is some overlap of asking what people want with the army of people waiting on you but that is better than having no one wait on you. There is a Tex Mex feel, I dont really think that anything is uniquely authentic but that is really the name of the game for American Mexican food. There location is decent although i feel like being hear the Hannaford's it makes it hard on parking. They were pretty much dead when we went. Keene restaurant. Had a great atmosphere and attentive waitstaff. My fiance and I arrived around 5pm on a weeknight and it was busy but we were seated right away. Chips and salsa were a good snack but save room for the delicious and authentic mexican food! My fiance enjoyed the beef tacos and I loved the vegetarian burrito with rice. I have eaten at Mi Jalisco quite a few times - probably almost every time I come to Keene. The food and service is excellent, all at a decent price. Their nachos are absolutely delicious. The staff is very nice! These guys warn you that the plates are hot, even when you ordered a taco salad. I have yet to try their dessert! I always get too full to order it because the meal is more than enough to eat. Maybe next time! Overall, this is probably the best Mexican restaurant in New Hampshire, so I highly recommend coming here if and when you get the chance. read more

I really like the food here. The food feels/tastes authentic and the service has been pretty decent so far. The only gripe that I have is (and why I almost gave 3 stars)... One day I came to the restaurant with my wife, and a friend. It was fairly busy, and I was just sitting there enjoying my drink and the company. All of a sudden, and without warning, one of the waiters smacked his hand on the thick black book (that they give you the bill with) right next to my ear! Not only did it scare the living crap out of me, my wife, and friend, the loud smack also hurt my ear, and it rang for a while. I understand that it was a case of mistaken identity because he thought it was my birthday (which it wasn't, it was the next person down in the next the booth). Seriously though, scaring the crap out of customers, IMHO, is not the best way to treat someone if they have a birthday. It doesn't just scare the birthday person, it scares anyone in the vicinity. If they had a heart condition, they could likely cause someone to have a heart attack. I've gone back once after that (and it was great) but I can't seem to fully relax while I'm there because I'm worried more crap like that will happen again. read more

I'm a local resident and have been here several times. However, the service I experienced last night 5.27.19 was shockingly rude. We were a table of 6 guests. 4 of those guests were all Keene residents who were embarrassed for our guests visiting and questioning themselves, if they would return here for dinner. I believe his name was "Lupe". We spoke with the young women at the front desk who apologized as we wanted to speak with the manager/owner who was away. I was told that the server is a family member. I hope the owner put his customers and business before family members who clearly don't care about good service. As a guest who spent 25 years in the hospitality business and formally owned a restaurant, I was beside myself at the level of disrespect from this server. read more

Mi Jalisco is one of our go to restaurants in town when we don't want to wait long for our meal. Every time I have gone (which is easily a couple dozen plus times by now) I have been seated right away and received quick service. Bottomless salsa and chips are complementary and always good, the house margarita is consistent, and the food is the most authentic Mexican food you can get in Keene and always comes quickly. Some servers are more cheery and congenial than others but they always do their job well. I've been here for a couple group events too and they do a great job managing larger parties and keeping the food and drinks coming. I've only once had an order messed up here (ordered an item that had three proteins and asked them to omit one of them but they didn't) and one time the steak in my fajita burrito (an item I've probably ordered a dozen times) was a bit overdone and chewy but the food and service are pretty consistent overall and the staff are very efficient. In terms of price/quality/quantity I consider this place a good value for the money. I definitely recommend this restaurant for those who want a sit down experience without a long wait. read more

Really decent. I've heard horror stories about service there, but either we got lucky, or they fired whoever was fucking up their reviews. The service was excellent, the food was great. Big portions, the wings we got were fried first, with sauce on the side which is such a better way to serve them. Totally delicious. I honestly have no complaints. I got the jumbo burrito and it was full of flavor. Chicken was super tender and flavorful, guac was good. If you are going to get Mexican food anywhere in Keene, go here. I love Tex Mex and all variations of Mexican. This place had lovely service but the food was sooooo grody. Gave me instant need to use bathroom and I eat beans and rice at least 2x/week. Go if you have an iron gut and like the gringo kind of "Mexican" food they serve: aka for fat white suburbans who are used to eating processed food and think iceberg lettuce is a healthy nourishing vegetable. read more

I went to Mi Jalisco for my best friend's birthday. A server continuously walked by us and glared at us for the half and hour we were there. As well, my boyfriend ordered a beer and the server insisted that his card was a fake ID. I would just like to add as well that 3 out of 6 of my party were black. Mi Jalisco is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Keene. I have been here about 10 times and only once was I disappointed because the beef in my taco tasted too salty. The food is fresh. The guacamole is amazing. The margaritas are potent so be careful. I usually order off the dinner special menu but I tried the special dinner because it's only 14.99 plus it has basically one of everything. It came out on 2 plates! I took half of it home and had a whole other meal the next day. I will continue to frequent Mi Jalisco forget Margaritas they are a joke and Pedraza's has gone down hill. read more

No one was there to greet us at the front, while potential diners were entering and lining up for a table.i had to hunt through the restaurant to find someone to help seat us , after I felt we had stood and waited long enough to get some attention. They also seemed to have lost our reservation, made the day before. There was clearly tension between management and service personnel , and we were uncomfortably caught in between. It took FOREVER for the food to be brought to our table , but the drinks were quick to arrive. They need to get their act together and recognize that they are part of the hospitality industry .
