My wife and brother in law told me about this place and mentioned that they used to eat here when they were younger. We were in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. There were a ton of cars in both of their parking lots on each side of the street but we managed to fit in one of them. The wait wasn't too bad and we were able to find a table within 5 minutes. Our table was right near the piano player so we got a nice "concert" while we ate! The food and service were excellent. After we ordered, it only took about 10 minutes for our food to arrive. I chose this restaurant because I was told it was one of the best in the neighborhood. Perhaps I had an unfortunate first experience, but one thing is certain: I will not return. I ordered the carnitas, and they were very tough, as if they had been sitting for days. At first, I thought it might just be a cooking style, but shortly after leaving, they made me feel unwell. I came here and ordered the chilaquiles con mole y pollo. There was less than an ounce of chicken in the dish. Also, the tortillas were very burnt and basically ruined the flavor of the mole. I explained to my server that I thought the tortilla chips were burnt, and if he could bring me some extra. Instead of bringing me extra chips he argued with me and told me that it's not possible that the tortilla chips are burnt because they are made previously at a different time in the day. He was also very difficult about bringing me extra tortilla chips and he wanted to charge me and told me that he could only bring me a giant bowl of them. Kind of ridiculous that he chose to argue with me and charge me instead of giving me a small bowl of chips and making me a happy customer. The have a here own private parking lots so parking is quick and secure.. the food was delicious and tasty I ordered the Super Chante breakfast steak n eggs , steak was cooked to my liking accompanied with retried beans and potato casserole and handmade tortillas. Came here with my mom on March 9 during brunch and let me just say this place is amazing. I rate customer service 10 out of 10. It has a nice ambient and the food is great! I had the shrimp omelette served with beans and potatoes. To drink I had a coffee de la olla. I am a coffee addict and this coffee was by far amazing. I did not have to put any sugar or creamer. I appreciate the hostess for calling a cab for my mom and I. I will definitely be returning. read more

If you come to this restaurant you have to try their filet Mignon it is to die for. I come here with my girlfriend we always both orde the filet Mignon meal. This restaurant was just perfect! Ate here twice, because the food was delicious, the place was clean (as well as restrooms) and the staff was very professional, clean and well-mannered. I are a soup of Siete Mares (7 Seas) luckily, I ordered the small because I would not have ate a large. I didn't even take photos. Our waiter Juanito on second round, was very attentive. I'm from South Texas so I not know Tex-Mex authentic food but the soup here was better (in my opinion) than back home and I live by the water back home so it should be just as fresh as out here. No fishy odor or taste. We came for lunch and by 5:00 we swung by for a little more and they were sold out. read more

This place was so delicious the food was great and the service was awesome. The wait time was average it was full and we waited like 10-15 minuets to sit in the table.
