My wife and brother in law told me about this place and mentioned that they used to eat here when they were younger. We were in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. There were a ton of cars in both of their parking lots on each side of the street but we managed to fit in one of them. The wait wasn't too bad and we were able to find a table within 5 minutes. Our table was right near the piano player so we got a nice "concert" while we ate! The food and service were excellent. After we ordered, it only took about 10 minutes for our food to arrive. Definite five star quality! Thanks for everything and we look forward to returning the next time that we are in town!

Comida muy rica y a buen precio. Un menú básico pero para todos con gustos diferentes.

The ambience is is adorable & relaxing. Food was delicious and service was excellent. The pianist was amazing, I could have sat there all day listening to him play.

As always great customer service from the moment you arrived to park your car with the valet to the host and server. Really large portions and a variety of different items to choose from. I will definitely come back and recommend to a friend.

Great service ,mexican style coffee shop iv come to have breakfast a couple of time always a wait but worth it. The have a here own private parking lots so parking is quick and secure.. the food was delicious and tasty I ordered the Super Chante breakfast steak n eggs , steak was cooked to my liking accompanied with retried beans and potato casserole and handmade tortillas. I ordered the cafe de la holla to drink. I like this place not in the tourist area on the way to airport in the Postal district. Try this place it' a must try spot .

I'm always scared to go here because I know the history but it is a really decent and cheap place to come. It seems super gangster to me but I didn't see the bullet holes in the walls anymore. Food is good service is excellent and we had a pianist for bfast today. Warning for those who aren't accustomed to culture they have pan or bread on the table it's not free they will charge you for it. Just FYI.

Good food at a very good price, just keep in mind that it's always busy so expect a wait 50% of the time , very delicious antojitos

First time here and for sure I will be back. Be prepared to wait, but don't worry, the wait is worthy. Fresh ingredients, friendly team, cozy ambiance. I love their pan con queso so good I wish I could bring home. Fresh orange juice, delicious coffee and homemade bread.

Found this place, thanks to Yelp…read more We crossed over to droop off my parents and wanted a place that served food but that we could sit down and talk. We had a 15 minute wait before we were sat at our table. As soon as we sat down, we had coffee cups ready and regular coffee or Cafe de olla ready to be served. Our Server was amazing. He made sure we were comfortable, and asked if we had any questions on the menu. We ordered the queso fundido to start, chilaquiles and tamales everything was great! I can't wait to go back and try the lunch/dinner menu. The place was very busy but the place was filled with good vibes and great energy.

I had someone call from our hotel and we got right in and there was a line outside. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is all great. Their breakfast goes from American eggs and bacon with the best potatoes to wonderful burrito type breakfast items. Their menudo is great and they have great Mexican meats as well. Lunch and dinner is about the same. They make Mexican style fish and steak that is just perfect every time. All of their Mexican dishes are just wonderful. You can't go wrong. They even have bottled water--never drink the water there, just don't. They have the best rice and beans. The service is great. They make you feel right at home and even if you don't speak Spanish, most speak English and you will figure it out because they will help you. The prices are fair for what you get. At dinner I consider it fine dining. It is all good and you will be happy. The place is also clean and super comfortable.

The Zona Rio location has a small dining area, that is very popular with both the locals and visitors. It is easy to see why. Their menu does not over dose on the standard morning and afternoon items that you would find anyplace. However, this is the first restaurant I've been to in Tijuana, that does not have an English menu.... so I had to labor through the Spanish menu. But, they do have unique dishes, thus making the visit adventurous, because it is difficult to choose. I went back and forth, and finally settled for their 3-egg omelet with asparagus and sheep cheese. It came with refried beans, strings of carrots and beets, small fired up tostadas and fresh tortillas (both blue and yellow corn). A small side of soggy chilaquiles was also served. A small flavorful salsa tray is also provided with 3 options, ranging from mild to hot. The asparagus spears were thin, cut up into small pieces and sautéed with mild spices. The outer egg covering soft and not overdone. If anything, there was too much sheep cheese, in certain portions of the omelet. I say this because it was an asparagus omelet, and it, instead of the cheese, should have been the star. Still, it did not take away from the other commendable aspects of the complete entree and its accompaniments. Before the meal, a small refreshing fruit plate is served. Coffee and overall service here, was mucho excellente.

They have their own designated parking, which is nice, as sometimes parking may be an issue in town. The parking attendant welcomes you and lets you know where to park. You are immediately greeted when you walk in. I typically visit for a late lunch. The restaurant has a cozy feel. The staff are attentive and friendly. The presentation of the food is nice and it tastes good. Some of the dishes that I have tried are: Tarahumara (portobello omelet), Xitomatl (entomatadas), Huichol (chilaquiles con cecina), Mulli (mole Oaxaqueño), Teotihuacán (chilaquiles con chorizo y huevo), and Coyoltzin (puntas de filete). My favorite has been the Coyoltzin because the meat is tender and juicy. I also love that they bring salsas to the table. I like the chiles with oil and vinegar that they make. Overall, a great place to have breakfast or lunch with friends and family.
