My husband introduced me to this place yeeeaarrrss ago. Last night I was craving for their Mango Chicken (BTW the best thing EVER on their menu). If you're planning on getting the Mango Chicken, order that first because it takes some time. It's a MUST ORDER. Once you eat you'll never eat anything like it again. We also ordered the Dip Trio which included: Hummus, Red Pepper, and Eggplant Dip. So fresh. Also, if you like lemonade, it's freshly made. So if you're looking for refills, it's $5. Just letting you know before you think it's fountain like I did and got 3 refills. We also ordered the Seafood Campechana (I think that's how it's spelled). WOW. Just wow. The grilled shrimp is to perfection. Not over cooked. And the ceviche, so much flavor. Sweet but not too sweet and a bit of tang. I was looking for a good Mediterranean spot and did some research on social media. This place cooks meat to perfection. I ordered chicken, lamb, and fish. The spicy fish sandwich is incredible. As well as the lamb shank being super tender. I also ordered calamari which was flavorful the coating made it extra crispy. The fries were cooked perfectly. The kebab/shank comes with rice the lamb was falling off the bone, I did not prefer the rice, because I do believe there's maybe nutmeg/cinnamon in it but that's all personal preference. and would recommend if you don't mind that. The only thing that I would not order again would be the bread pudding. It had a very milky/dairy aftertaste and I didn't taste the white chocolate or vanilla. But for entrées, appetizers, soup and salad main courses this is a great spot and I will definitely be coming back to try new items! read more

Mezza Grille was a nice dinning experience, although it seems to be frequented by senior citizens. In fact, out table was the only one last night with the younger crowd. Mezza Grille is located in a strip mall, with plentiful parking options. Huge bar is located right inside the doors, and is nicely decorated. Menu is extensive, and I had difficult time deciding what to order. There must have been 10-15 salad options, that many pasta options, additional seafood options etc. I settled on breaded chicken with pasta in lemon sauce. My friends had ravioli and risotto. Overall, I was happy with the dining experience. The lighting is a bit dim for my taste, and prices are on the higher side. Having regular patrons who are senior citizens can mean consistency, and from what I experienced they got lots of it!!! read more

I came here while visiting Houston per my best friend's recommendation. This place is what I'm all about when it comes to food - refreshing, delicious food at a good value. My friend used their famous mango-stuffed chicken and their hummus as the selling points to convince me to come at which point I was, of course, sold. We started with their "pick-3" dips deal and we got the hummus, eggplant, and red pepper spreads with pita bread. The hummus was excellent, definitely the best of the three, although the other two certainly had their own appeal. All 3 were light and refreshing, the red pepper dip had great pepper flavor and a nice crunch and the eggplant spread was light and smooth. For my main dish, I stuck with my friend's recommendation and went with the mango-stuffed chicken. In a word, "wow." First, the portion size is large enough for two people with normal-sized appetites or, as in my case, one person with a bottomless pit for a stomach. The chicken has a crisp, fried exterior and is moist inside. The chicken is stuffed with what tastes like a cornbread stuffing mixed with corn and black beans. To top it off they slather the whole thing in a buttery mango sauce that is nothing short of genius. As if that weren't enough, the chicken comes with these fabulous scalloped potatoes in a gratin-like cream sauce as well as some grilled veggies. Seriously amazing folks, one of the best entrees I've ever had at any restaurant, and I live in NYC. My friend got the snapper which I also tasted and it was pretty delicious; very hearty piece of fish with that great char-grilled flavor. I washed down my meal with their jalapeño cucumber margarita which was just perfect and so refreshing. If you come here you are guaranteed to have a special meal that you will remember. Came here for a close friend's birthday. The service was good & our server was knowledgeable about every item on the menu. We were a pretty large group & she was on top of everything for the most part. Now on to the food. Everyone at our table was amazing with how great everything tasted, so flavorful & fresh. I ordered the grilled chicken breast Alfredo which I paired with tomato basil soup & the hibiscus martini. That martini was SO good, I wish I had ordered 2. One note is that the server did forget to bring my soup however I was able to get it to go as well as removed from the check. I always get the Lemon Butter Chicken Platter with a salad or maybe a sharwama through Uber eats so I can't say much about in restaurant dinning. What I can say however is that the chicken is scrumptious and I love the potatoes and veggies that comes with it. It'll cost you $35-$40 or so though. The rabbits on the wall really made my day... they are so adorable! Such a pleasant surprise. My dinner experience here was great. They play good choice of new remix/songs and they are not too loud. I was worried the songs might be loud but they were not. I ordered their chipotle beef tenderloin pasta and added shrimp. Smells and tastes amazing. I liked how they were generous with the grilled shrimp. The beef tenderloin was tender and yummy. The pasta was perfect. While it was a bit heavy for my liking, I decided to to-go the rest, which worked out. I will definitely want to return to this place. I was having a really bad night, crying and alone, and I needed a place to sit. I asked if I could buy something small with Apple pay --because I wanted to sit outside on one of their chairs and felt bad doing that without buying something but only had my phone on me. The bartender asked what I wanted and I told him just a water and he gave me a bottled water for free and told me not to worry about it. Mezza Grille is in the same shopping center as The Palm and Amalfi Ristorante off of Westheimer. I went with a friend who was in town from Austin on a Saturday close to 8 PM. Even though some of the parking lot was valet only, parking wasn't a problem. A non-descript exterior was juxtaposed by a nice interior with a trendy bar as you walk in. The menu is pretty extensive and features an interesting mix of Italian, Mediterranean, and New American dishes. They start you off with some complimentary pita chips with olive oil. I had the mango-stuffed chicken which comes with scalloped potatoes and grilled veggies. This was the most highly recommended dish on Yelp and I had never had anything like it! I ended up replacing the grilled veggies with some mushroom risotto since my mom taught me not to eat my vegetables. The portions are very generous, we're talking a lot of food! The chicken was stuffed with stuffing, bean, and red peppers for the most part. The dish was great but I wish the menu was more descriptive. All the menu says is mango-stuffed chicken instead of indicating what the chicken is stuffed with. For dessert, there is a Yelp deal for a free dessert of your choice so take advantage of it! They were out of tiramisu which was too bad as it's one of my favorite desserts but I went with the white chocolate bread pudding instead. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (again not indicated on the menu), I'm always a big fan of desserts that are a la mode. You also get a little wafer with the dessert. While not the best bread pudding I've ever had, it was an above average dessert. Service was good, just a bit "salesy" with overly aggressive to try to convince you to get an app, salad, etc. While a bit annoying, it definitely didn't spoil the meal and we were both impressed with the quality of the food! read more

The food here was amazing. Before the food comes, they give you these pita chips that are like crack. Perfectly light and crispy with the perfect herb seasoning. I ended up ordering the mango chicken and it was super good. Nice and crispy on the outside, the chicken was cooked perfectly, and it was stuffed with cheese and an assortment of different veggies/fruit. The mango sauce that came came on top was also addictive and added a nice balance to the savory flavors. It was served with a side of scalloped potatoes that were buttery and garlicky, and it's something I could have just eaten on it's own. Would absolutely order again. The wait staff were attentive and friendly, nothing more you could ask for there. My favorite is simply that the chicken wasn't dried out. The scalloped potatoes were good but the grilled veggies were a bit soggy. Ordered with Uber eats and mezza had it prepped in 30min. My husband and I eat here a lot. Everything they make is always so good. Their hummus is hands down the best I've ever had. I usually get a seafood dish and the butter sauce that goes with it has so much flavor! One of their best sides are scalloped potatoes. They are so good and creamy yum. My husband's favorite is the beef Kafka wrap with their heavenly garlic sauce to dip it in. It's so huge he can't even finish it. Their kabob plates are really good too. Now, that I got that out of the way, the unassuming decor, hides a menu of deliciousness!!!! You get this toasted pita bread chips with seasoning that you can't eat just one. The fried calamari flavor with fresh marinara was killer (definitely need to shorten fry time to help with texture, but still awesome). The restaurant can be missed when driving down Westheimer. It's in the same lot as Amalfi Ristorante Italiano & Bar and Melting Pot. Upon entrance, the hostess is to your immediate left. The bar is straight ahead. There are tables spread throughout the restaurant. There is outdoor seating available as well. FOOD: Pita Chips with Olive Oil and Herbs: Decent. They only give you about 5 pieces of pita chips. We had to keep asking for more, especially with hungry appetites. Chicken Apple Sausage Pasta (4/5, Angel hair pasta in a sweet & spicy chipotle cream sauce, fresh baby spinach, & caramelized granny smith apples): 4 pieces of sausage. Goodness, the caramelized apple = genius. It definitely brings the slightly sweet flavor from the sweet & spicy chipotle sauce. I gave this 4 stars because the taste became overpowering and greasy after awhile. All pastas come with toasted garlic bread. Mixed Grill (4/5, 1 skewer each Shish Kabob, Shish Tawook, & Kufta with a creamy garlic sauce; saffron basmati rice, seasoned grilled vegetables): My friend ordered this and swapped the grilled vegetables for the Wild Mushroom Risotto. I tried a bite of the Shish Tawook wth the Risotto! Both were delicious! He finished this plate clean! It was warm, creamy, filling, and overall amazing. My dad had the Spicy Seafood Risotto, he said it was very rich, creamy, not too spicy, he wouldn't get it again. It isn't bad, it's just that if he ate all of it he would have heartburn for the rest of the night, it was very fattening, but it was good. We had dinner here on Friday night before a graduation. We wanted an option to sit outside and this fit the bill. Granted, the outside seating overlooks a strip center parking lot, but that is often the case in Houston. It didn't matter because the food and service was so good I would've sat in the actual parking lot. We had a delightful waitress who was the perfect amount of helpful but not overbearing. We started with an appetizer of hummus and pita and it was some of the best, smoothest hummus I have ever had. We each had a dinner salad. The salads were huge and were a great mix of apples and nuts and other things you don't normally see in a dinner salad. I had the falafel wrap as my entree and it was absolutely fantastic. Fabulous experience from beginning to end. The food and service were outstanding. The host was so kind and polite. Our waitstaff made sure our drink glasses stayed full. Our party of 4 ordered mango stuffed chicken, spicy chipotle seafood pasta, and the kofta kebab platter. The portions were huge for the price. The seafood pasta was so flavorful. You could tell just by looking at it that it was loaded with flavor. It had a creamy chipotle sauce that definitely had a nice spiciness to it. The rest of my party also really enjoyed their food. Very chill family environment. I was in Houston visiting for the weekend and found this place on help and we were not disappointed. We started with the chips and Some type of oil that was mixed with black pepper- I love it some much that I requested seconds to go along with my meal. Great service, nice atmosphere but I felt like the ribeye was lacking flavor. Food: I got the ribeye steak with double garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was charred and that's all I really tasted. It was not extremely tender nor did it have lots of flavor. All I tasted was charred meat. The garlic mash are potatoes were pretty good. I was really expecting a better tasting steak. Although the lobster bisque was really good! Management: can you confirm if the steak typically just tastes charred and lacks flavor? Maybe it was an off night. Also for the price I was expecting a bone in rib eye. Maybe you all can start selling bone in rib eyes ? Great service and nice place to eat after a long day or a good place to take a date as well. I may go back and get a few other thing s I kind of regret not trying the acclaimed mango chicken. Really love the food. Had one bad experience when ordering via Uber eats because the description on Uber Eats didn't say something had mushrooms (a LOT) and refused to replace it. Another note if it's delivery is I don't recommend anything that's going to be wanted medium rare because it keeps cooking when it's on other hot food and ends up being chewy. Other than that, the food is awesome. There's a seafood bisque that is one of my favorites and also a spicy chipotle sauce they use on a few pasta dishes that is amazing. I came here with my significant other after taking a board exam to celebrate, and it was the best decision I could have made! I had wanted to come here earlier this year for my birthday, as I was in the area, but they were unfortunately closed. So glad I was able to try again. There was plenty of seating when we came here around 5:30 on a Wednesday. We were seated immediately and served with water and pita chips. The pita chip serving size was small, but they were some of the best I've ever had! I ordered the mango stuffed chicken, and my partner ordered the lemon better chicken. It took a bit of time for the food to come out, but not so long that we were getting impatient. When it did arrive, my jaw actually dropped! The entrees, like the house chips, were prepared to be much more fancy than I was expecting. My partner and I agreed that it was some of the best chicken we had ever had--crispy and breaded on the outside, and not one dry area inside. We also really loved the scalloped potatoes, which were finely sliced. Our service was amazing too!
