We started with two seasonal margaritas and an array of tacos. The food was fresh and tasty. The prices seemed elevated for tacos ($7 for the pork birria taco, $8.75 for the brisket taco, $7.75 for the fish taco), but these days it's hard to gauge. I really enjoyed the smoky chicken taco and ordered another one. For the pair they were $11. Which I thought was quite reasonable compared to the other prices. Gooey cheese, spicy jalapeños, smooth guac. It's all there. Loved every bite. A total hit Mauntak marg: if you are not a tequila person this is great for you. Like a pina colada in marg form. Excellent, a hit for me! Spicy marg: right up your alley if you actually do want to taste your tequila. Tajin rim is a nice touch. Hubby likes tequila and enjoyed this one. While in the city on my lunch break, I finally had the chance to try Mexicue a spot that had been sitting on my must-visit list for a while. I went in fairly early, so the restaurant was quiet, which made for a chill and relaxed atmosphere--perfect for a midday break. I ordered the Elote along with a fish taco and a brisket taco. The Elote was definitely the highlight--well-seasoned, flavorful, and satisfying. As for the tacos, they looked amazing, but the taste didn't quite match the presentation. They have great happy hour deals (some apps and drinks) and provide 3 taco options for the bottomless taco offer. When we were there it was the avocado taco, smokey chicken taco and pulled pork taco. Each was delicious and are surprisingly large. I think most people would be satiated from 3 tacos, so if you don't plan to eat at least 4, the deal isn't worth it as tacos range from $7-9 each normally. They allow you to order 3 tacos at a time. We also got the nachos with cashew cheese which were very good. People enjoyed the happy hour margaritas as well. They have vegan and vegetarian options not on the happy hour menu as well as seafood and an extensive bar. I thought the flavors in each taco were unique and very tasty. Each taco had a good amount of ingredients, without any overwhelming the other. It added to the texture and taste. If you are hungry and like to eat, you could likely eat 6, if you are a big eater, you could do 8-9 but will be quite full. You can also pick which of the 3 tacos you want, so you don't have to do all 3 eg two chicken one pork or just order 1 taco or 2. The space itself is large, but got very busy and loud as the night went on. Our waiter Luis was fabulous, very friendly and attentive. They are definitely a large portion unless you make it for happy hour and get the smaller one. You must try the corn. It is really good!! Stopped by here for lunch and wow, Mexicue did not disappoint. When we first walked in the ambiance of the place felt super cool - bright, colorful, and open. We were seated immediately and our server has to be one of the friendliest servers I've ever had. He immediately recommended items to us off the menu which I loved!
