Food was great service was great. Sat at the bar and had their steak and eggs as well as the Mac and chicharron, both were amazing! No pictures because I ate it too quick. Nice dinner style Latin food place would recommend if you are in the area! read more

Stopped here after a concert at Racket NYC -- Only a few steps away, and also very close to the 33rd street PATH station. Food all came out fresh and in reasonable time. We were glad to find a place in the area open past 10-11pm (this place is 24 hours!), and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing a few apps. Nachos were a decent size and very yummy - also enjoyed the oxtail empanada and fish tacos. Chicken flaunta was a bit dry. Truffle fries had really good truffle flavor! Would definitely come back again for late night Latin food. Its on my list! read more

Went here for a family dinner and everyone left satiated and delighted. We started with the oxtail empanadas (superb!) and tequenos (can't go wrong with deep fried cheese). The portions are huge so make sure you go hungry! And they don't seem to take reservations- but that wasn't a problem; we were seated right away. Our server was also very warm and friendly. My husband and eldest son had the Lomo Saltado - the meat is tender and flavorful and plentiful. The potatoes were cooked perfectly as well. They are big eaters and neither one of them could finish it. My youngest son had one of the specials - flank steak with puréed sweet potatoes and a salad. He was absolutely raving about it. If not cooked properly, flank can be tough, but this was NOT! He ordered it medium and got it perfectly pink in the middle with a gorgeous char. He also took a doggie bag home. I ordered Mafongo con Costilla - absolutely gigantic portion. Again, the meat was perfect and just fell off the bone. The sauce was delicious. I didn't quite understand what I was ordering for the mashed plantains so I was surprised at the mound of mash mixed with other veggies. Nevertheless, it was great with the sauce and very filling. I also took more than half of my plate home. The restaurant is cozy and dimly lit. It's lovely and welcoming and apparently open 24 hours! We will be back the next time we are in town. And next time I will take pictures!! read more

I stopped into this diner to get some good lunch. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into the busy diner and was greeted and sat. I ordered with Stephanie and she was nice. I ordered: Oxtail Empanada (Sweet Plaintain) Hash De Costilla (Short Ribs, Potato, Roasted Pepper, Egg) Arroz Con Pollo Lemon Pie My favorite was the Arroz Con Pollo! The Hash was good but needed a little more season but was so tender! All in all a good experience! read more

Good place for drinks and bites late at night. Nice ambiance, 24/7 hours, and pretty fast service. Menu is huge! We each got cheladas and ordered the pulpo and chorizo torta deluxe with yuca fries, tostada de mariscos, and the sweet corn empanada. We finished with the Mexican brownie sundae, and everything was good. read more

Good. Came in here solo for dinner on a Sunday. Found a seat at the bar near the kitchen. Comfortable and the service was great. I ordered a glass of wine (not the best) and the oxtail empanadas to start. Empanadas were good. Nothing exciting. I then ordered the Havana salad- kale, pumpkin seeds, queso fresco, tomatoes, lemon mustard dressing and I added the steak medium rare. The salad was a large portion and had a great flavor. The steak was overdone and too much seasoning which overpowered the salad. I would come back to try different items. read more

Food: 2.5/5 Service: 2.5/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Value: 2/5 Friday afternoon around 1pm I decided to grab lunch here after my doctor's appointment in Union Square. I took the M14 bus over and figured I'd hit the 1 train downtown to get back to work in FiDi after I was done eating. Sat at the bar. Restaurant was maybe 10% occupied. Yet for some reason my meal (fried chicken plate for lunch, medianoche sandwich to go) took forever. There were three or four cooks in the kitchen, not sure what the hold up was. The chicken pieces were small and overcooked. Hard, brittle. The biscuit was also tough. $54 including tip for the two dishes. Way too expensive for diner food. read more

my fav place to go when I am in NYC. Cuban diner open 24 hours with amazing drinks, servers, and food. no reservations. they will seat you when your whole party is there. I have fallen in love with their food mainly, but the vibes, drinks, and team make me want to introduce everyone to it fan favorites: - lomo saltado - ropa vieja - lechon - gamba al ajillo - cochinillo the staff came up to us to to ask us about the cochinillo bc it was a new item they were looking to serve on the regular menu. Be sure to check out their house specials for any good treat. read more

Came pretty late at night to get some food after going to a bar, and it was pretty active. The steak and eggs was really tasty and filling, also came with rice and beans that are hard to see in the picture. We also ordered a waffle that came with whipped cream and strawberries, which was so so good. The service was pretty fast, and a bunch of different people came over and helped us so always felt like we had a waiter even if ours wasn't around. Super cute late night vibe, good music and nice decor. read more

24 hour Cuban/Latin American diner with fun vibes. Came here for dinner and ordered a few plates to share. We got the Cubano, Camarones (shrimp) Cienfuegos, and Churrasco (steak). The steak stole the show for all of us, we were very pleasantly surprised by how perfectly it was cooked to order. The dish was super flavorful, and a really good size. Would absolutely order this again and again. The cubano was fine and the shrimp was pretty good, but not my favorite. The shrimp dish was pretty spicy and I had wished came with more shrimp. Food portions were pretty large for the most part, and we ended up leaving a bit of food on the table. Most cocktails were tequila and rum based, I ended up getting a Hemingway royal, but wasn't really feeling it so my boyfriend finished it for me. read more

Coppelia, a Cuban-inspired diner that is open 24/7, serving satisfying Latin comfort foods. Their menu is predominantly Cuban cuisine, however, you will also find some Mexican, Colombian, and Peruvian food. They also have a nice cocktail menu. It was hard to choose what I wanted to eat, they even have tempting all day breakfast menu. I opted for the Roja Vieja, a flavorful shredded beef dish prepared in a tomato-based sauce. What a hearty meal! And one of their popular dishes as well. It's a huge dish served with rice and black beans. My server also had recommended lomo salteado (beef short ribs) and the churrasco (skirt steak). I also enjoyed the cozy yet lively vibe. Overall, 4 stars. read more

Coppelia is 24hrs that alone is enough to make it worth the visit. The Cuban vibes definitely make me feel at home. I love the versatility of their menu options. I ordered a Ropa Vieja and a Lychee Fresca. The bartender Raphael was attentive and knowledgeable about drink recommendations which I eventually decided on trying out. It's a great spot for a date solo or paired and to bring friends to. read more

Rating: 9.5/10 Date Last Visited: 1/25/2026 We ordered the Lomo Saltado ($30), Shrimp and Grits ($28), Mofongo Con Constilla ($30), Churrasco ($29), Steak Frites ($32), Ceviche ($17), and Dulce De Leche Pancakes ($17). Almost every dish was amazing, but the lomo saltado is the star of the show. The combination of the beef short rib, onions, tomato, and fries along with the sauces is perfect. The beef is extremely tender and the dish is super flavorful. It's worth going to Coppelia just to eat the lomo. For brunch, the shrimp and grits is really solid too, but a bit pricey for just four shrimps. The pancake was amazing too. For the dinner entrees, the churrasco and steak frites are also really good. Coppelia does a good job on all their dishes and I'm a huge pan. Overall, I would 100% recommend this place. read more

Coppelia has been one of my favorite fallback spots when in the area for a few years now. They always deliver, whether I want a late-night Cuban sandwich or empanadas. The diner vibe is incredibly lively, and the fact that it stays open nearly around the clock makes it a true lifesaver after a long night out. The food is consistently flavorful and packed with authentic Latin spices, not to mention the portions are large enough to share. read more

Extremely overpriced and very disappointing. I ordered a toasted bacon, egg, and cheese on Cuban bread because they don't sell bagels. I paid $15.24 and received two small strips of bacon, cheese and way too much bread. The bread was soggy and wasn't even toasted. I ended up eating just the cheese and the little bit of bacon because there was so much bread. No sides--just bread. This isn't the first time this has happened. I decided to give them another try, but once again, they disappointed me. For $15.24, I expected much better quality and value. Shame on them. read more

I went to Coppelia with my boyfriend, and now I get why it's one of his favorite spots in the city!! The staff is genuinely warm and on it - so lovely. The host, the servers, everyone we met was friendly and attentive! I've tried the churrasco on one visit and the mofongo (the one with short rib) on another, and both were incredible. They're known for their Lomo Saltado, and that might honestly be one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life. My boyfriend gets it every single time - it's like a Peruvian/asian fusion dish with braised pork belly. Just know it's a huge bowl!! The drinks were great too. I had the passion fruit strawberry guarapita and loved it, and he got the passionfruit marg which was amazing! We also ordered maduros as a side. Soft, sweet, perfect. AMAZING food and great music -- super lively and lovely. I already want to go back! read more

Very solid 24/7 diner! We got a ceviche style chips and salsa, the lomo saltado and enchiladas. The lomo saltado was a bit sweet but maybe that's the cuban style, I have only had the Peruvian style. I recently ate here on a whim and as an extreme lover of Latin food, was quite excited. Sad to say, I left pretty underwhelmed. I will say - I will definitely be back for their fried pickles. They are delicious, but everything else was just underwhelming. The oxtail empanada sounds absolutely delicious but it's mushy inside, and doesn't taste like oxtail. Also the pico that comes with it just doesn't match the taste I was expecting. I also got a shredded beef arepa and it just didn't have any kind of taste. I barely took four bites before giving up. I took the food to go because I didn't want to waste it, but it's just sitting in my fridge waiting to be chucked. Next time I'll come when I'm not hungry but want to snack. read more

Stopped by here after an event in Brooklyn a little after midnight. The place was pretty packed, so we waited about 20 minutes to be seated, which honestly wasn't bad considering how busy it was. For appetizers, we ordered the oxtail empanadas. They were just okay.. nothing terrible, but probably not something I'd order again. For our entrees, we got the churrasco with yuca fries and the ropa vieja. The steak was cooked exactly medium like we asked and was absolutely delicious. The ropa vieja could have used just a little more seasoning, but it was still enjoyable overall. And definitely try the michelada, I was in heaven lol. I also love that this place is open 24/7. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. I don't live nearby, but I'd definitely come back to try more from the menu. read more

I have been coming to Coppelia for over 10 years now if that gives any indication of how this review will go! I usually stick to what I know but on this lunch break decided to go for the fish tacos. Not my favorite thing on the menu let me tell you. First of all I hate when places advertise fish as being crispy and it is nothing of the sort. The fish was more flaky then crispy. It also was a mess to eat. It was constantly dripping and falling apart. And as for the coleslaw, it was more like wilted seasoned cabbage. The yuca fries are always a big hit! So crispy and soft on the inside. Now just because today wasn't a hit don't let it deter you. They have plenty of great dishes. The Cubano sandwich is always a hit you can't go wrong with. The tequenos are essentially like fried mozzarella sticks but so much better. The star of the show for me is their quesadillas!! The creamy spinach and Gouda cheese is soooo good together. It's like eating a spinach artichoke dip wrap which to me is amazing! The corn and cheese empanada is also a show stopper. The creamy ness from the cheese and sweetness from the corn and crispness from the turnover is so delicious. I can go on and on but before I end this review i need to tell you about their drinks. One drink specifically only known as The Gran Paloma. I cannot tell you how many hangovers I've had due to this wonderful drink. Many years ago they use to have the double portion of the drink and I am sad to report they no longer do. 3 of those double portion drinks would have me set! This drink is the perfect amount of sweet, tart and strong. The drink has cazadores blanco, passion fruit, lime juice and topped with grapefruit soda. And the tajin rim gives it that extra zestiness. I can't wait to continue coming for another 10 years! read more

Food was terrible, not authentic flavors or preparation. Service was the only redeaming factor.

Late-night cravings? SOLVED. Coppelia, located at 207 W 14th St in NYC, is a 24-HOUR CUBAN DINER that absolutely slaps. No other way to describe it -- this place is a certified banger. Started off with their Oxtail Empanada and let me tell you... WOW. The sweet plantain dough? Magic. Braised oxtail melting inside, topped with crema, queso fresco, pico de gallo, and a little salsa verde action? Just chef's kiss. Then came the Lomo Saltado -- unbelievably tender, salty, slightly sweet, and available 24/7 (yes, seriously). Perfectly cooked beef meets lightly caramelized crunchy French fries, bone-dry rice, and that savory, stewed tomato sauce that hits every comfort button. Coppelia is a Cuban diner with a big, beautiful bar and vibes for days. Whether it's 2PM or 2AM, this spot should be in everyone's NYC food rotation. Go. There. you know you'll walk past a place you used to frequent a million times and think "i'm so happy they survived the lockdown era of the pandemic," at least that's what I think and thought about Coppelia. finally after what felt like a million years i went back with friends for some late night Latin fusion. delicious, no wonder they have remained open and busy. we got shrimp, steak and stir fry. rice, beans, veggies and frozen margs all served by attentive and very friendly front of the house. the vibe is moody, like a diner in Havana and it was clean. a not so hidden gem that hasn't lost it's way in a city of private equity and soulless restaurant groups. i think they may make a regular out of me. read more

While I visited the restaurant a few years ago, it wasn't until a few weeks ago that I gave it another go...it is my new favorite go to spot! The staff is welcoming and have become quick friends...AJ and Freddie keep the energy coming especially with the music. Highly recommend sitting at the bar (or table). The place is very LGBT welcoming. The food is so tasty - with great portions. Love the steak and eggs (their breakfast is served all day), iced tea, red sangria, espresso martini, and their play on eggs Benedict. Love that you can see into the kitche where everything is being cooked! Perfect place if you want an easy, casual hang out place...you can hear the laughter throughout the entire space. They are also open 24/7. Highly recommend. read more

This place is my kryptonite it's open 24 hours. At least it used to be. Very solid Cuban diner food and they have good drinks as well. I will say the food used to be better than it is now but I've been here plenty full of times when it was delicious. Also if you're coming after hours this is the best you're gonna get in New York City. Their Lomo Saltado is really good, steak and eggs is really solid, cuban sandwich. Honestly all the meat dishes are a great choice. But my favorite thing here is Chicharon mac & cheese. Generally the service is quick and it's casual and lively. Stumbled on this gem while we were in town. Got the lomo saltado and was sooooo excited for it. We are used to having lomo with actual steak. PSA- the lomo beef is braised/stewed. I was disappointed but I couldn't stay disappointed long because the flavor was so robust and the meat was so decadent. I would order the dish again but wouldn't order it if I was craving lomo saltado. Service was fast, and friendly. Bathroom needs de-odorizing. I landed in New York at about 11:30 pm on a Sunday, so was very pleased to see Coppelia was open 24 hours! I got the Ropa Vieja delivered. I cannot believe something so delicious was available at midnight. The beef was well seasoned, there's lots of umami flavor to contrast with the sweetness of the tomatoes. The fries still retained their flavor and texture (despite being in a mix and then traveling in a delivery container). The rice was soft, but not mushy or soggy. All in all, fantastic and the only thing that could have went better is if I had been able to eat in the restaurant (which I will next time)! read more
