Dude. This might be the best Mexican spot in Bloomington-Normal. The Steak tacos/ quesadillas are amazing. Really good authentic steak. Also the Chimichanga Fajita is insane. My fiancé gets it with ground beef and it's so good because the fajita juices mix with the beef to give it a good spice. The drive thru window is clutch as well. Also. Solid quac and cheese sauce and chips. Everything we have had here is super good. 10/10. Go here. read more

I had the beef chimichanga and enjoyed it. But the real treat for me was the chili con queso. SO much meat in it that it could have been my entree. I live fairly close and see this place as possibly becoming a regular spot for me. Clean, nice new fixtures, great festive atmosphere and decorated for the holidays when I visited. read more

The service was good and the food was pretty good as well. However, I did think it was a little pricey for what you get. You get a smaller portion compared to other similar restaurants in the area but again the food was good. I think if you haven't been it's worth checking out. Definitely a good place for the family. The drinks looked pretty good too even though I didn't order anything from the bar. read more

We visited on a weekend and were seated immediately, it wasn't very crowded but the decor had a nice vibe to it. The servers were friendly and answered all my questions about the menu. We stopped for dinner while driving through. A family of 6 with young children. Our waitress was friendly and very helpful, as we need to avoid allergens. There are many gluten free and vegetarian options. The refried beans do not contain pork. We ordered beef natchos supreme, taco salad (minus the shell), and Pollo Yucatan. We received a standard, appetizer of chips and salsa. The tortilla chips were crisp, but the salsa tasted like salty V8 juice with sparingly chopped onion. The salad was sized like a side salad, but at a full salad price. The natchos supreme was surprisingly small as well, with the lettuce and sour cream toppings taking the primary stage over everything else. As my Pollo Yucatan sides, the rice was overcooked, on the verge of mush. The vegetables, chicken, cheese, and shrimp portion were well seasoned and tasted good. Overall, everyone said everything tasted bland. Spicy hot level 0 overall. My wife said the woman's restroom smelled unclean. We were happy to try something new, but wouldn't plan on coming back if we're in the area again. read more

My family and I all ate dinner here last night. I ordered the steak taco dinner, my daughter had an a la cart steak taco, and my husband got the steak fajitas. The steak was a little greasy and bland. The greasy factor might be the main reason we don't go back. This place is close to our house so we'll prob go back. This place provides excellent service, well prepared food and reasonable prices. Split the half and half fajita and it was plenty of food for two. Could have used cheese on the side but the guac was excellent. Great margarita, not of a mix. Atmosphere was lively and a full crowd. Food seemed authentic and we will be back! read more

This place is disgusting. Took an employee there for lunch. We were the only table in there. They have upped their menu prices but if you don't read the little fine print on the front of the menu you will not know that your entree is now $3 more. I didn't eat my food the meat was tough vegetables overcooked and no flavor When the one and only employee possibly the owner ask how everything was I said it was not good that is why I didn't eat it. He didn't offer anything else or even discount the bill. Spent $31 for two lunch specials a water and a sprite. I will go to Moe's next time. The chips were also stale and flavorless The only explanation I was given when paying for the horrible food was we don't have any help Nobody wants to work Really isn't that everywhere?¿? Took forever...almost 2 hours on a Monday and it wasn't crowded. very greasy and the place smelled like an outhouse. Sopapillas should not have chocolate on them. Menus and table sticky. Only brought 3 spoons for 5 people to share a dessert. The list goes on and on. I can not figure out how this place has high reviews. read more

Indoor dining just reopened, everyone working wore masks, restaurant was clean and comfortable, food was hot and amazing, and our waiter was friendly and patient while we read through the menu and devoured the chips, salsa and cheese. Food is average. Nothing spectacular from the items we tried. Quesadillas were greasy, enchiladas were bland (blended canned sauce) and chili rellenos were tasteless and not made with fresh ingredients. They charge for pico de Gallo. Salsa for chips is bland as well. We could smell old oil in the chips we had. Ingredients need to be fresh! Service was good. read more

Mexa-Maya is fabulous! The wait staff are so friendly and helpful. There are many options on the menu. Nothing has failed to please us yet and we have been many times. I was excited to visit the Mexa-Maya since it's new in town! The hostess seated us right away and we got our orders taken rather quickly. My husband ordered 2 gorditas (beans with cheese, and al pastor) and I ordered the burrito. When our orders came out, my husbands gorditas were really small, cracked in half and had the wrong meat inside. The meat was also cold. When we let the waiter know he told him to order something else and didn't seem to care about the order being wrong. read more

The salsa was pretty good, but the guacamole had that kind of strange store-bought taste and consistency to it. I think the chips are probably not made in house either, but they were fine. I got the grilled chicken quesadilla which was simply made and pretty good. I wish it had come with something on the side, like lettuce and sour cream at least, but it was enough food for me. My husband got the steak-chicken-shrimp fajita and it was a lot of protein. He said he would skip the steak next time because it was a bit tough. Overall, the experience was decent. Definitely not the best Mexican food in town, but it's fine. My suggestion to the owners/management would be to make more food from scratch and definitely unplug the air fresheners. That was very distracting to me. It should smell like food in there, not Glade pug-ins. read more
