I would give it a five-star review except our waitperson was very grumpy, not friendly at all. This place was recommended as very good, I say pretty good for the area. Being from South Texas I am very picky about Mexican food. The $2.99 Margaritas on Tuesday were absolutely delicious. I had the Taco Bowl, can't mess that up, and it was really good, the taco shell perfectly fried. It was supposed to have beans inside with the ground meat but my bowl did not have the beans. Another reason for a four-star rating. My husband ordered the fajita quesadilla expecting a round tortilla cut in triangles just like in Texas. That is not what he got. It was more like a large flour taco stuffed with the fajita meat (nicely seasoned might add) and folded over with melted cheese on top. It was just okay, the plate came with rice but no beans which is weird to me. The place was fairly occupied. Nice inside with music playing in the background. Sits nearby to a highway and a Super Walmart. Pretty convenient because we walked over from our hotel room. I recommend to give it a try. Two plates of food along with 4 margaritas(2 each) the bill was $43.87 not too bad for dinner nowadays. read more

The new building is gorgeous! Parking is a little tight. As big Fiesta fans, we were excited to try the new location since they moved across the shopping center. There was not enough staff to assist the busy the dining room on a Saturday night. Our cheese dip sat on the bar for 15 mins and was ice cold. We watched the waiter jam glass margarita glasses into the ice chest - major code violation. 2 of our 3 orders were severely messed up. The waiter took the wrong food from our table and gave it to another table. The waiter tried to correct our food but got it wrong 3 times in a row leading to us just wanting to leave. Hopefully they can work out the kinks but we will prefer to frequent the other locations. read more

I only give it a star because of the cold beer, that is it. The only way to improve is to shut this place down and file for bankruptcy. By far the worse Mexican food in town. Not to mention by far the worse waitress " Shelby", so rude, loud, extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. She needs to get fired. The food was cold and tasted horrible. If you're looking for a great spot for some good Mexican food and their margaritas, this is a great spot in Bloomington. Sometimes the food takes a while to come, but fortunately, there's chips and salsa to fill me up as I wait. The portions are decent and they fill me up especially when you just keep snacking on the chips and salsa. The staff is very nice as well. I would recommend ordering the fajitas as they do a great job with piling on the meat and it tastes delicious! Came here after craving some Mexican food and was disappointed. Service was good over all and they do have a lot of options on the menu (something for everyone I'd say). I ordered one of their wet burritos which came out cold, not cooled down, but actually cold. The sauce on top was cold and when i cut into it, the filling inside was cold. The best part of my meal was the chips and salsa. We ordered wings, which were alright. My husband got the nacho supreme with steak which was not bad either. The atmosphere is lively but they have a jukebox in the back and some of the customers were playing it pretty loudly so we could barely hear ourselves talk. A fast and good Mexican place. Their chips and salsa might be the best in town. Although the refills of chips and salsa are NOT FREE (+$0.5 each extra order). But they were made fresh and tasted so good. We ordered the Fiesta Fajitas For Two. It was soo good, especially the shrimps. Generous portion of pulled pork, steak, and veggies. Don't forget to roll some of the burnt green onions, fajitas sauce and salsa sauce in your tortillas. You will love the layered tastes and textures! I am a total sucker for Mexican food, and it doesn't matter how authentic it is. This was the first time I had been here in about 10 years. It was just as I remembered it. Service can be aloof at times but that isn't why you come to a place like this. You come here for food loaded with melty cheese. So we started with the cheese dip and then got the ranchero cheese steak. Both of them are delicious. Definitely get the large cheese dip and then use some to add to the cheese steak. My wife and I both love Mexican Food. The folks at Fiesta Ranchera always treat us well and the food is great. We have ordered several different menu items and have never been disappointed. We both have our favorites, but its always a difficult choice to try something new or go with our favorite. The single best aspect of this establishment is that you can almost always get a table for 10 people at any time. It's not that it's desolate, but rather just seems to be larger than it really needs to be. In Bloomington, it's hard to find a place to eat on a Friday night that doesn't have a 45 minute wait, so Fiesta is a great place for the hungry, pre-bar crowd. I have found that my favorite menu item is the Ranchero Cheesesteak, which is steak, onions, peppers, tomato, lettuce, and cheese all folded into a tortilla and covered with cheese sauce. Rice and beans are served on the same plate. Now if you're afraid of grease, this is certainly a dish you should avoid, and perhaps maybe even a restaurant to avoid. The interior is not fancy (although they did just repaint). You'll have either the classic black plastic/leather-seated booth, or some temporary-seeming chairs and table. You'll be greeted with chips and salsa, but if you're in a rush to get food you won't have to wait long - the service is very fast. If you're looking to have some beverages, there are some rather large margaritas and beer options. Probably not a place to take a first date, but a good option for a group of friends who are more hungry than critical. read more

Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I had the chori pollo. This is a meal I've had at several places so I have lot to compare too. I've been to the Fiesta that's on Market St previously and had a way better experience there. I can't really rate the food at the location because, well, we didn't get any. We had this crazy idea to go get Mexican food on Cinco de Mayo. Our party of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) anticipated a long wait because we knew everyone else in the city would have the same great idea. To prepare for this, I arrived 20 min before the rest of the party to get a head start on getting a table. Waiting in line to get a table was no big deal to us but it wasn't clear if each group was going to be seated or if it was a "see a table and go grab it" type of situation because both were happening. When we got to the front of the line (after a 45 min wait) a very nice woman told us she's get a table ready for our larger group. No big deal. We waited. (And listened to the blaring mariachi music that was far too loud.) Ten minutes later I found her and asked if the table was ready yet. She was cleaning it off for us and told me we could make our way over to get seated. At this point we were all extremely hungry and thirsty - it was very, very hot in the restaurant - and saw about 4-5 servers continuously walk past our table as if we didn't exist. After waiting 10 min, we were given chips and salsa, but still no server. After both baskets were empty and with 2 kids getting very antsy (as well as 4 hungry adults) I went up to the front counter to the man running their register and mentioned that while I understood they were very busy, we had been sitting over 20 min without so much being acknowledged. He...wait for it... pinched my chin (!!) while telling me "Oh I know I know, I'll finish here and be right over." I was satisfied with this answer even though I was annoyed he reached over the counter to touch me. Another 5-10 min went by with no one approaching our table and I saw the same man go to several other tables while we sat with nothing. At that point we got up and left to go elsewhere for dinner. Worse Mexican food I have ever had. Wouldn't think you could screw up making a taco. I asked for a fried white corn tortilla shell. They told me no problem. It evidently was. They came on an Ortega hard yellow corn shell. The taco meat was tasteless too. I had 2 of their 27 oz margaritas also. Fiesta Ranchera is one of our favorite places for fairly authentic Mexican food at good prices. The frozen margaritas are awesome and half price on Thursdays! The decor is nothing fancy, but you can always get a table and the service is quick and friendly. I usually get a chicken quesadilla and it's very good. My husband enjoys the Ranchero Cheeseteak, the Fajita Nachos and the Chimichangas. Their rice is also very good. There are several choices on the children's menu and some new seafood entrees that sound tasty. read more
