Stacks is a down-to-earth local restaurant "chain" (two locations) in the Indy area. It specializes…read morein breakfast and does the basics very well. This location is just off Quaker Blvd. near the I-70 interchange and is quite convenient to the gaggle of airport hotels clustered around it. The building and the interior are reminiscent of Midwestern family-style restaurants. The facility is comfortable with ample seating, however, having both booths and tables. The breakfast menu features traditional Midwestern breakfast fare with pancakes, of course, as a cornerstone offering. We visited on a Friday morning and were seated right away. Our server, Amy, took care of us quickly and did a good job throughout our visit. My colleague went with the theme and got the big stack of six pancakes, too much for one sitting. He also got a side of fresh fruit, which was a nice offering. I went a little heavier and got the corned beef hash, a favorite of mine. Here, it comes with hash browns, which is a little unusual. I certainly appreciated this nuance. I also had some hash and potatoes left over to take away. We both thought our choices to be quite good. The coffee was not bad and more than adequate with food (not sure how it would be on its own, which is the ultimate test for coffee). Between the two of us with food, drink, tax and tip, we spent $42. By today's standards, that's not unreasonable. It was not a bad value considering we each had enough to take away for another meal. I would not hesitate to go back if another opportunity arose.

My visit to The Green Room Cafe was nothing short of a caffeinated revelation…read more From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that felt like a secret garden had collided with an artist's dream -- warm, inviting, and humming with just the right kind of energy. The service was absolutely impeccable: attentive without hovering, warm without pretense, and delivered with the sort of genuine hospitality that makes you feel less like a customer and more like an honored guest at an impossibly chic gathering. And then came the drinks. The pistachio latte was a masterpiece of balance and indulgence -- velvety, nutty, and luxuriously smooth, as though a pistachio grove had somehow been distilled into liquid silk. Each sip unfolded like a sonnet. The wildflower latte, meanwhile, was pure poetry in a cup. Delicately floral without being overpowering, it carried an almost ethereal sweetness, like spring itself had been persuaded to dissolve into espresso. It was whimsical, elegant, and astonishingly memorable. The Green Room Cafe has achieved what so many coffee shops aspire to but few truly accomplish: creating not just beverages, but an experience -- one steeped in artistry, comfort, and just the right amount of enchantment. A triumph. Five stars scarcely feels sufficient. Oh, and parking was mindlessly easy, the owner was present, the bathrooms impeccable, nursing mother's room near restrooms and high ceilings to dissipate the hum.

There is plenty of parking and many other restaurants shops nearby. The inside is clean and modern. There are roughly 10 tables, a comfy couch and chairs, and a small bar area. I HAD to try the Beach Day Latte. The latte was made perfectly. The icing on the cake was the house made coconut cold foam! Ohmygoodness- it was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was standard. I will say they did cook my egg to my liking. The bacon was good but still had grease on the two pieces. Our order taker was friendly and extremely helpful with the explaining the menu. I will definitely go back further the lattes!

Do not miss the "Sticky Foot" dessert - a slab of DELICIOUS date bread pudding with caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream and popcorn on top. YUM. Our server Emily was cheerful and informative. A parking garage across the street served us well for dining at this restaurant and attending an event at Hendricks Live across the street. The shrimp cocktail appetizer featured fresh large shrimp with dollops of horseradish on the plate and a nice sauce. I enjoyed the steak frites entree, a generous portion of steak perfectly cooked, served with a delicious broccolini and tasty fries. My sister ordered the chicken marsala and noted that she would have liked more sauce, and the truffle potatoes were delicious. My brother said his huge pork chop was perfect, and my sister in-law recommended the sirloin steak. We had reservations and were seated at a high top table, which is not my preferred way to dine but the restaurant was full so we didn't ask to be moved. We had a bit of a wait for our entrees and chalked that up to it being Saturday night. There is a separate bar area and rooftop dining with igloos available.
