Metro diner appeared great on the outside but as we entered the inside the customer service was feasible. We go on to order our food, I got the "Reuben" and homemade chips although , the meat was tough I couldn't chew it and the homemade chips I could've made myself ‍. Let me not forget the score of 82 My daughter seemed to enjoy her food so, I'll rate them a 1 1/2-2 out of 5 read more

The real reason we visited metro diner was because of it listed on Guy Fieri's Triple D spots. It was good, nothing that stands out or makes it different from a regular diner other than the fact that Guy Fieri visited Metro Diner. Still awesome though! read more

Love this place! Eddie and I try to come every weekend if we are able. We usually sit at the counter at the kitchen area-dinner and a show! These cooks have some hustle! Today we were seated immediately and had the pleasure of being served by Heather. She was friendly and asked for clarification to ensure she had our order down correctly. Kudos to her and the awesome cooks because despite the place being packed, our food was delicious and exactly what we ordered. Not to mention, we had two members of management stop by very briefly just to check in. If it weren't for the aptly priced mimosas at $2.99 a pop, the exceptional service will keep us coming back for sure! read more

Oh my goodness...the Holy Davioli Burger is fantastic. The service was impeccable and although they were quite busy, they were swift. Will definitely return. read more

Soooo good! Get the chicken and waffles you won't be disappointed! Friendly host and waiters!! Clean restrooms and good prices for the amount of food you get. read more

Bold City Burger is my fave. I keep thinking about ordering other things, but I love this burger too much to stray. My husband had the BBQ mac and Cheese tonight. It was good, but not the best thing he has ordered here. That honor goes to the Chicken and Waffles, which we have each ordered before tonight. We also like Huevos Rancheros, and the Fish and Chips. The food here is good, and there is plenty. One tiny complaint, we had apple pie and it was served COLD! I wondered if that was just a slip, or if all of the apple pie is served cold. Weird. It was OK, but would have been awesome yummy if it had been warm. We will be back. read more

I can't say enough about this place! The workers are super friendly and try to give you the best service possible. The food is phenomenal and it's always consistent! One of my favorite places in town! read more

The staff there was great. It's newly opened so a few kinks are to be expected. The kitchen made a mistake on my order but they bent over backwards to make it right. I will definitely be back soon! read more

Where to begin...this is everything you want and a pile more! Chicken and waffles with whipped strawberry butter and they mix up a dipping sauce that blows your mind for the chicken! The Monte Cristo sandwich OMG! Chicken salad was awesome too! Perfect service by Courtney who impressed us with her suggestions and professionalism at a young age! Gives me hope in the world. I love the chalk board too! read more

The food is great! Variety and the ability to get a decent mimosa. I've had the biscuits and gravy and they were fantastic. The spicy chicken biscuit was also on point. read more

Tried this for the first time with my parents tonight. It was a good experience for everyone. I tried chicken and waffles for the first time ever! They were delicious. My mom had the shrimp and grits and she said they were possibly the best she has ever had. (And she has had lots of shrimp and grits!) my dad tried the crab cakes Benedict. Also a thumbs up. I'd like to try more on the menu read more

Food was delish! Good options for even the picky eaters. Checked in online for the waitlist and only had to wait about 10 mins once we got there. Waitress was fantastic and attentive. read more

Our 2nd visit, went much like the first, but only better! We went in for brunch around 10:35 Sunday morning. The place was packed but we scored immediate setting. I had the Reuben and it was the BOMB! I wanted the sandwich with the sauce on the side and the fries extra crispy, and that's the way it came out! FABULOUS! My wife had a half order of the Avocado Toast with two scrambled eggs and she thought they were out of this world. We were served by a very nice and sweet young lady named Rachel F. She could not have been nicer or more efficient. My original rating of 4 (really 4.5) is now a 5 and would be a 10 if allowed. Great addition to the Madison food scene. Looking forward to my next visit. Best. Shorty sends... read more

Went back again last Sunday for brunch and enjoyed another excellent meal and top notch service. I ordered the meat lovers omelette with a side of hash browns and a biscuit. The omelette was prepared perfectly with tons of flavor and an excellent selection of meats and spices. The hash browns were cooked to a crisp without burning which is not as common as it should be at other restaurants. The biscuit was sizable and delicious. At $9.99, this dish is also an excellent value. Parking and access can be a bit tricky on busy times but the food is worth it. Went back again last night - ordered the meat omelette with cheese grits and a biscuit. The omelette was amazing and loaded with perfectly cooked sausage, bacon and ham. The biscuit was hot, rich and better than most. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the poor quality of the grits - no flavor whatsoever - I added hot sauce, salt and pepper but it did not help very much. The cheese seemed to either Velveeta or cheap American - anything less than sharp shredded cheddar is unacceptable. The cheese also seemed to be added as an afterthought and so what I really had were mediocre grits with some cheese dropped in at the last minute. Sorry for the rant, but the quality of the food here has always been superior and the service as usual was excellent. Just need to fix the grits! read more

I'm revising my review after researching my reviews and not finding the one I thought I left after first trying breakfast at Metro. When I ate, I made a point of snagging the manager on the way out and complimenting the house on a perfect breakfast. I even told him how rare it is to have soft-scrambled eggs right, hash browns crisp, and great bacon. More recently, I tried supper and was disappointed to find a special that I thought was overpriced for what was profferred, but that is the exception, so I'm rewriting here to give a fair summary rating, as I believe the totality of the offerings are a good deal. Service is also attentive and friendly. We need more places like Metro. read more

It was pretty good. Went soon after they opened and they were extremely busy so service was a bit slow. It was also a bit pricey for what you got. My wife got a breakfast sandwich and it came with no sides or anything, but everything still tasted pretty good. read more

This was my first visit. Great food and awesome service is the combination at Metro Diner. The combination works! The serving portions are quite generous. You won't leave hungry. The servers are attentive to details and follow up. The energy is inviting and homey. I plan to make it one of my regular places to eat as I eat out a lot. Go, enjoy and tell your friends. Metro diner has the best waffles in the Huntsville area. And the chicken and waffles are my favorite, but it comes at a cost (1xxx+ calories). It's very busy and the seating area can't keep up with demand. Long wait times, but the food is delicious. Wish they could fry half a chicken and add waffles for less than 1000 calories ;). read more

First time coming and I was really impressed with the service and the food. The food was well prepared, hot and very tasty. I got the chicken and waffles and sorry I forgot to take a picture before I started eating but I was really hungry lol. The service was also great. Our server was so pleasant and she made the place even better. I would highly recommend this place. read more

We decided to try this place since we love classic diners. They were absolutely swamped with staff and customers and trainers for the staff. The food unfortunately wasn't served hot but our waitress immediately took it to the back. Within minutes the manager stopped by to apologize and shortly after he also delivered the food and made sure we were satisfied. Now that we could eat the food I have to say the pot roast was delicious and the mashed potatoes had chunks which is my favorite way to have them. My wife said her French dip was one of the best she's had in a long time. We'll definitely go again and look forward to trying some of their breakfast specials. read more

Food was very bland tasting. I ordered chicken and waffles. I expected chicken fingers, what I got was bone in chicken. Was just awkward to eat. Also the spicy honey was just hot sauce mixed with honey. I know this because the girl mixed it there at the table. Wasn't very impressed at all. Service was great though. read more

With no guests and no travel this year, I just could not work up any enthusiasm to cook a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. So, when I saw Metro was offering a Christmas dinner special I decided to order dinner for four. There was a little delay the day of Thanksgiving, but the manager called me to explain and apologize. The only result was a minor delay in picking up my order which had no impact on our dinner time. The dinner was easy to reheat and tasted very good! There was even enough left overs for a turkey sandwich today! My only (minor) complaint was I wish we got more gravy. I admit I like to douse everything with gravy though, so maybe that's just me? Thanks for a great Thanksgiving dinner, Metro, read more

First time visiting and it was awesome! We were told a wait time of 15 minutes and it was only about 10. There were 4 in our party and we each ordered something different. Portions were huge. We had plenty of leftovers! Service staff was excellent. Highly recommend to everyone! read more

In my first review I wasnt super impressed, the one thing in the menu, fried chicken was overpriced. It's just chicken, people. However, I will give it another try, because if my read meat tick allergy that keeps me from eating pork or any mammal meat, hoping they will have turkey sausage next time I come. read more

We are a fan of this place. Little more pricey than an IHOP but much tastier and lots of different menu choices.

Somewhat on the pricy side, but the food and service are quite good. Especially busy for lunch. Parking can be something of a problem.

Not very good. Service was meh. Food was the same. Prices were not worth the quality of food. I would of rather went to Edgar's for brunch. Definitely not coming back. read more

Just as good as the location in Tuscaloosa, if not better. The cajun chicken pasta is definitely my favorite. Everything is perfection down to the garlic bread. I love Metro!! The employees are always super nice and helpful. I wanted to customize my dish and my waitress walked through everything with me, double checked with the chef, and even came back after to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I look forward to coming here every chance I get. My friend knocked their tea all over the table and floor and they were so polite and cleaned it up quickly. Very nice, understanding, helpful staff.
